→ Check out this amazing beach in Costa Rica. Playa Zapotillal is between the well known destinations of Playas del Coco and Tamarindo. It's a short drive from Matapalo, and definitely worth the trip.
→ Bring hiking shoes and swim gear for this beach, as it has a great trail leading up a mountain. You can find amazing views of Zapotillal and Playa Nombre de Jesus. We managed to see a massive turtle about 100 meters off the Playa while on the hike.

→ Today we're checking out Filadelfia, which is a town in Guanacaste, Costa Rica. If you're landing in Liberia Airport for your vacation, you'll likely pass through Filadelfia on your way to the towns on the Pacific.
→ If you get to the Central Park in the morning, you'll find lots of big Iguanas coming down from the trees look for food. Grab some lettuce, broccoli or bananas and feed them for a good show.

PLAYA BONITA // Explore This Amazing Costa Rican Beach [NARRATED] [2021]
What do you think of Playa Bonita? Leave a comment below! 🇨🇷
Check out https://www.sightsandsounds.co for a full written description and guide to this beach.
Playa Bonita is located in Guanacaste Province, Costa Rica. It's between the towns of Playa Hermosa and Panama. If you're heading to Condovac La Costa or Occidental Papagayo Resort this beach is very accessible to your location.
Due to the rock formations of the water, it can produce a good rip current as the tide increases. Still a great beach for relaxing, with natural springs flowing fresh water into the tide pools.

→ VRBO has these amazing short term stays available for rent, check them out here https://geni.us/3rdoZZp
→ Today we're going to visit Playa Tapustxuna, which is a beach just west of Playas del Coco in Guanacaste. This beach is also close to the large resort Rui Guanacaste, which is on Playa Matapalo.
→ If you're visiting Guanacaste Playa Tapustxuna is definitely worth checking out. It has white sand and calm water. A very relaxing vibe with flora and mangrove butting up against the water at high tide.
→ The road to Riu Guanacaste is easily travelled by any car, but once you go past it you'll need an off-road vehicle with high clearance as the road is rutted. There are several water crossings, which at the time of filming were very low, but can be expected to be higher when it rains.
→ If you're visiting Diamante Adventure Park, this beach is very close as well. Diamante can be found here: https://g.page/DiamanteAdventure?share
→ Check for a more detailed write up at https:///www.sightsandsounds.co with instructions for travel.

Visit https://www.sightsandsounds.co for more videos and tours 🇨🇷

→ Let's check out Jaco, which is in Puntarenas Province. This beach town is known for its surfing, and has areas which cater to various skill levels.
→ We'll be on the south end of town, where the waves are much easier and the water depth much more shallow. South Beach has tons of surfing camps and instructors so even if you just show up, you can expect to find a qualified instructor.
→ If you find an instructor towards the middle of the beach, they'll likely bring you down to the south end if you're a beginner. The waves towards the middle and north end are much bigger, and the water is both deeper and choppier.
→ If you're staying for a while in Jaco, ask your instructor for private lessons you can coordinate in advance for better pricing. We had a great price for 2 instructors and 4 students.

→ This is a 4 bedroom house starts with an open concept kitchen/living area, flanked by two massive all-glass sliding doors. A few steps to an infinity pool with an ocean and jungle view.
→ There's a great patio space adjacent to the pool, which is accessible to the living space as well. Down the living room hallway, the flooring was great. A mix of live rocks and massive tiles.
→ The bedrooms were very modern with huge standing showers. Each room had ambient lighting in the ceiling for added flash.
→ The roof is also accessible, where you can find a large open space, with high walls and great views. This house is in an amazing location and is perfect for a vacation.

I recommend using Rosetta Stone before you even leave for your trip, and when you arrive you can refine your conversational skills.

→ On September 15th, Costa Rica celebrates Independence Day. This was from when Central America declared independence from Spain in 1821.
→ Throughout the country there are celebrations for the days around the 15th. This celebration occurred in the Carrillo District on September 13th.
→ This was a massive motorcycle/bicycle parade which travelled from at least Comunidad, all the way to Coco. The parades travelled along the road, revving engines honking and waving Costa Rican flags. Residents along the path wait outside with children to watch the festivity.
→ We managed to press forward through the traffic and capture some shots of the participants. It was very big group and very loud. Everyone was in great spirits and having a fantastic time.

LOS COYOTES | Visit This Amazing Water Feature With Falls + Swimming + Scenery
Visit https://www.sightsandsounds.co for more videos and tours 🇨🇷
→ VRBO has these amazing short term stays available for rent, check them out here https://geni.us/3rdoZZp
→ Let's head out to a really great river/waterfall system in Guanacaste. Today's video we'll be driving to and exploring Poza Los Coyotes.
This track of amazing water features is easy to get to an not too far from Liberia, which is a larger town in Guanacaste. Liberia is central to places like El Coco, Tamarindo, and La Fortuna.
→ When you arrive at Poza Los Coyotes, there's a clearly marked gate with attendant. The cost to enter at this location is 1000 colones/person. On our arrival, we were advised to park immediately at the gate and walk the remainder of the way down to the river. I can only surmise that this is due to the condition of dirt road during rainy season. Perhaps in dryer season the road would allow to drive directly down to the river. Today we walk, though.
→ About 200 meters down this road, there's a gentleman renting out life jackets and inflatable tubes for 1000 colones. At the location where the equipment rentals are, the paths split in 3 main ways.
→ The first, which is north along the river, will take you to a really nice area where you can jump in the water. We tried some higher jumps from about 20 feet after testing the depth ourselves. There also seems to be kayaking that you can do, further north up the river against the current. On this occasion, it had rained heavily the night before so the water was fairly strong and deep.
→ The second branch of path will take you do a picturesque part of the river, where it converges and over eons has cut through the rocks. The result is a strong current with small waterfalls and little pools of water which leads further into this chasm. The gentleman from the tube rental assisted us with locating the path to go directly down to the water where it's power is clearly on display. It was a very memorable experience.
→ The third path, which is south from the rentals, will take you about 400 meters along the water. You can't see the water from the path, but you'll eventually head down a slight hill where you'll find the bottom of the waterfall system that cuts through the rocks. This is where the inflatable tubes would be handy, as you will be able to float into the canyon with the rocks towering above you on either side.
→ On the day we came, closing time at 6pm was soon, and the water appeared to be very powerful. For young kids it, the outflow from the canyons may have been too powerful to accomplish. Of course, in dry season with less daily rain and less powerful current, I anticipate that the canyon would be a very easeful and enjoyable swim.
→ Consider the cost and the proximity to Liberia, I highly recommend visiting Poza Los Coyotes. The water is blue as can be, and the flora is incredible.

PLAYA FLAMINGO 🦩 Pristine Beach Town | Driving + Walking Tour [AMBIENT] [2021]
Visit https://www.sightsandsounds.co for more videos and tours 🇨🇷
→ VRBO has these amazing short term stays available for rent, check them out here https://geni.us/3rdoZZp
→ Today we're going to check out Playa Flamingo, which is in Guanacaste on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica. Playa Flamingo is immediately south of the town of Potrero, and only a short drive from Tamarindo.
→ We're going to start this video driving north into Flamingo on Route 180. There are several Villas and hotels along this route, which are just outside of the beach area. We'll head past Route 911, which breaks to the right to head towards Potrero.
→ Continuing along Route 180, we'll bend to the left and then travel along the southern end of Playa Potrero. This is also a very nice beach which has plenty of boats anchored as this location is offset from the full power of the Pacific. There's a marina being constructed in this crescent bay as well.
→ Moving into Flamingo, there's a narrow bridge to cross before arriving in the northern town area of Flamingo. Our drive will take us directly to the beach, but if you take one of the few roads to the right you'll find the hotels which spot the side of the mountain on the north end of Playa Flamingo. There's also shops and a supermarket in this area, which are convenient should you be staying in the hotels.
→ Route 180 will transition into Flamingo Beach Road, which is dirt rather than pavement, but it's not in terrible shape. You'll be able to drive this road with just about any car, but avoid the large potholes of course. Parking along this road is ample and seems to be unrestricted, just be courteous in allowing room for through traffic.
→ Next we'll walk part of the beach, which is white sand and very well kept. On the date of filming this video, it's a weekend so there's lots of families and groups enjoying the day. As you can see in the video, you can set up a sun shade tent or barbeque if you're staying for the entire day.
→ The water on this occasion was calm, and at this time the tide was waning from highest tide, about half way to low tide. There are waves close enough to shore that break with power to allow for some great body boarding. You can buy cheap body boards for about $10 USD, or rent higher quality ones.
→ Although the water was not incredibly powerful, be careful for rip currents. The surface under the water has several sand bars at various distances. As the water vacates between waves, the rip between these sandbars can become powerful as the water flows through various heights. As always, be sure to swim only where you see others in the water and have safety equipment ready on the beach.
→ Despite the power of the water, this beach is very calm compared to some along the pacific side of Costa Rica. The waves break very close to shore as well, so stronger swimmer shouldn't have much trouble very far offshore past the breaking point.

FRESH FOOD In Costa Rica 🥭 Let's Visit The Farmer's Market In Liberia [NARRATED] [2021]
Visit https://www.sightsandsounds.co for more videos and tours 🇨🇷
→ VRBO has these amazing short term stays available for rent, check them out here https://geni.us/3rdoZZp
→ Today's video is at the Liberia Farmer's Market, which occurs on Thursday's and Friday's. To find the Market, you'll head to the north side of Liberia. If you take the Inter American Hwy, stay on the local road rather than the raised thorough route. When you arrive at 'Trans 8' you'll turn right on this side road. This road has the local police station which is very identifyable.
→ You'll travel about 200 meters, and then see the rose colored grand entrance to the fair grounds. You can park on the side of the road, there will usually be a gentleman who will watch your car and assist with getting back on the road. You can pay these lads about 1000-2000 colones for their services.
→ The entry to the farmers market is free, and there's lots of vendors with various foods and goods. You'll see some vendors with clothes, cosmetics and essential oils.
→ Most vendors have various fruits and vegetables. Lots have various roots, oranges and pineapples. Some of the vendors will carry rambutan and water apples. There are also guanabana zapote available, which I have seen on less occasions.
→ You can expect to pay a few dollars for a very large amount of most of the foods. It's a great opportunity to stock up on a weekly basis with your fresh foods directly from the farmers.

STUNNING WATERFALL 📸 Walk Through The Jungle To Visit Cataratas Llanos de Cortes
Visit https://www.sightsandsounds.co for more videos and tours 🇨🇷
→ VRBO has these amazing short term stays available for rent, check them out here https://geni.us/3rdoZZp
→ Today we'll be visiting waterfall Llanos de Cortes. This waterfall is in Guanacaste, about 20 minutes south of Liberia. The road from Liberia is a 2 lane, divided highway in very good condition and it was a very easy drive.
→ To find the street to take you to the waterfalls, you'll be turning left from the southbound lane immediately after a pedestrian bridge. If you're traveling northbound, you'll need to turn around when the highway divide opens. The turn off is located here: https://goo.gl/maps/2TB7qHetPbomUzNZA
→ The main entrance for a very easeful access to the waterfall parking lot is a very short minute drive along this road, with access on the right side. You'll see this access at about (1:13) in the video. This access point is here: https://goo.gl/maps/X6BMK6UKhHabW712A
→ For the video, we'll drive further down the paved road to the small town of Llanos de Cortes. Here you'll find some restaurants to enjoy after the hike. We drove 'Acceso 2 a Catarata Llanos de Cortes' on our own first, but the road is extremely rough and it wasn't entirely clear where to access the parking on this south side of the waterfalls river. Luckily, we approached some local guides who led us back down the road and through the correct gates to access the parking area. These guides, Josue and Yehudy can be met at the last intersection before the trail near 'Rancho El Cortez'.
→ As you can see in the video, this road has both massive ruts, water covered areas and some steep hills. It was a fun drive with the 4 x 4, but if you're not looking for that consider using the north parking lot mentioned earlier. The guides Josue and Yehudy are happy to travel and met you in that location as well. Either way, expect to pay about 5,000 colones for parking.
→ You'll then walk a short distance through the forested area, and find a small waterfall and swimming pool that we're told is about 9 feet deep. We did some jumping at this location afterwards, which was very fun. Due to the recent rain, dirt had washed into the pool so it wasn't necessarily as picturesque as it would have been in the summer(less rain), but was still very scenic and fun to swim in.
→ A slightly further walk and you'll reach the main waterfall and swimming area. It was very powerful on this date as it had just finished raining. The water was no perfectly clear, but it was still very refreshing to swim in and still great for some pictures.
→ Around this area you'll find a small sandy beach, another waterfall hidden behind some trees and some caves that wrap under the cliffs. If you're just looking to check out the water, it should be easy enough to access. However, for an enhanced experience I'd recommend hiring the local guides who know all the hidden trails which run around the hills.

VISIT TAMARINDO 🌊 🌅 Let's Walk Through This BUSY Tourist Town [NARRATED] [2021]
Visit https://www.sightsandsounds.co for more videos and tours 🇨🇷
→ VRBO has these amazing short term stays available for rent, check them out here https://geni.us/3rdoZZp
→ Welcome to Tamarindo, Guanacaste, Costa Rica. This town is about midway along the Pacific Guanacaste Coast, and is very popular as it's known for its surfing and tourism draw.
→ We start out walk at the south of of Calle Central, where there's a roundabout and the Welcome to Tamarindo sign. This area is very busy for both tourists and locals, as it allows for direct access to the busiest part of the beach.
→ Along the beach, you'll find lots of restaurants with an amazing view. You can expect to pay a bit more for the food and view but it's well worth it. Alternatively you can bring your own food and have a picnic on the beach. There are horse tours on the beach as well, with a makeshift horse stall at this location on Calle Central.
→ We'll walk back to the north along Calle Central, and find many shops for tourist goods, but also several high end clothing/unique items shops. There's a wide array of restaurants along the street which are an easy distance from the beach to check out during a day in the water.
→ Walking further, we'll see Calle Cardinal, which will take you further from the beach towards more hotels. The video should give you an idea of how long the walk will be to the beach.
→ Back to the beach, we'll check out Tamarindo Daria, a hotel with a large grassed area facing the beach. It looks like a great place to relax and enjoy the water without being on the sand - if that floats your boat.
→ We're going to head back to Calle Central at about Banana Surf Club. Around this area there's a lot of surf shops where you can buy/rent boards or get surfing lessons. You'll also find the Sunrise Condos Tamarindo in this area.
→ We'll make our final turn back to the beach at the highly reviewed restaurant Agua | Salada, which looks very nice and is directly adjacent to a very well manicured path. At the end of this path there's a nice fitness construct with some makeshift weights and a kids playground. There's also two volleyball nets with well maintained sand.
→ Back on the sand, you'll find a very busy beach especially on this Friday afternoon. If you look farther to the north you can see Playa Grande and Playa Ventanas which also are known for white sand and surfing. We had stopped in Playa Grande and saw that the waves are much bigger and the beach much less busy.
→ Tamarindo is an amazing little town that's very busy, but sure to impress. It would be a great location to book your stay in and journey out from to some of the smaller beaches or inland destinations.

BEAUTIFUL BEACH 💯 Playa Hermosa Lives Up To Its Name!!!
Visit https://www.sightsandsounds.co for more videos and tours 🇨🇷
→ VRBO has these amazing short term stays available for rent, check them out here https://geni.us/3rdoZZp
→ Welcome to Playa Hermosa, which is a small town on the north west side of Guanacaste. Hermosa is a very low key town with lots of Villas, Hotels and Restaurants.
→ We start our Walk on Route 159 at Segunda Ent. Playa Hermosa. Route 159 is the main corridor through town. If you head south you'll reach Playas del Coco, and if you head north you can reach the beaches of Playa Panama, Playa Buena & Playa Bonita. The primary supermarket is also slightly south on Route 159.
→ When we walk down Segunda Ent. Playa Hermosa, we'll find many restaurants and hotels. This road is the primary road which allows cars to access the beach and other beachfront hotels. There are higher end hotels at the beginning of the road like Villa Acacia, Mangabay, Huetares Hotel & Villas. These hotels are well within walking distance to the beach. Further towards the beach, you'll find more cabins and hostels.
→ We'll reach an intersection with a road the runs north/south, which is parallel with the beach. You'll find lots of advertisements for various activities on these signs, so be sure to check here if you're looking for an adventure.
→ On to the beach, which is magnificent and very long. The beach has white sand and at the time of filming the water was very calm. The bay is flanked by two mountainous ranges. On the south one you can see the beaches of Poor Calzon and Playa Pence (which we have previously explored).
→ All along the beach there are hotels and restaurants which feature a picturesque view of the water, sunset and mountains. You can also set up anywhere for a picnic and play for the kids.
→ Towards the north end of the beach, there's Condovac, which is a large area of rental units. There's a small area of shops just off the beach on a street that is well marked. Then on further you'll find the rocks. These rocks are covered on high tide, but when the water rescinds it provides a great walking area. You'll see all kinds of crabs and small fish in the tide pools that remain.
→ Overall, Playa Hermosa is well worth the visit and a great location to stay for the duration of your trip if you're seeking a calm and relaxing experience. It has a great beach and is still close to Coco and Liberia for amenities and shopping.

WHITE SAND + CLEAR WATER 🧜🏽♂️ Costa Rica Beach Perfection [NARRATED] [2021]
Looking for a stunning white sand beach in Guanacaste? Definitely check out Poor Calzon Beach! 🇨🇷
→ VRBO has these amazing short term stays available for rent, check them out here https://geni.us/3rdoZZp
→ Poor Calzon is on the peninsula which separates Playa Hermosa and Playas del Coco, on the northwest Pacific side of Costa Rica. An already beautiful area, this beach is on another level.
→ To get there, you'll take Route 159, which connects Hermosa and Coco. There's a large green tarp fence with a small security shack. The dirt road is not well marked, so be sure to drive slow enough to see it. Check out the previous video where we drove into an adjacent beach so you can see where to enter.
→ There's a long dirt road which isn't in the best condition. Travelling on this road with a raised 4x4 is a breeze, but you can expect a bumpy ride in a smaller car. Playa Penca is all the way at the end of this road, but if you're looking to visit Poor Calzon Beach, you're going to stop about half way.
→ There's a gent in the parking area who will guide you in for parking and watch the cars. Be sure to bring a few thousand colon to pay at the end of the day. This is a few dollars in USD or CAD.
→ You're going to walk down the side of the mountain along a winding path. It's a few minutes walk, so be sure to carry only however much you're going to be able to make it with - a few beach towels and some snacks for sure.
→ When you arrive at the beach you'll find perfect white sand and crystal clear water. At the time of filming this video, the tide is almost at its lowest. This allows you to walk along the rocks which flank the beach. You'll also be able to snorkel with more ease to the deeper parts of the water.
→ Snorkeling in this location is amazing. You'll see all kinds of curious fish which will hang out right around your feet. There's blue fish which have an interesting needle like fin on them. Sting rays can be seen scrolling around the bottom in the deeper parts, but were also swimming up to the more shallow locations.
→ There's a submerged rock formation at the east side of the beach (right as you enter), which stays submerged and acts as a refuge for smaller fish. There were many incredible and unique fish swimming around these rocks which are very accessible for snorkeling. If you don't have a snorkel set, you can use normal swim goggles which will still allow you to check out the cool fish.
→ Watch out for sea urchins on the rocks to the east and west if you're venturing a bit further out.
→ Back on the beach, sun tanning and relaxing are popular. You can also bring down a soccer ball and play on the massive white sand beach.

BEAUTIFUL SAND ⛱️ Drive + Walk To OCOTAL BEACH, Costa Rica 🇨🇷 [AMBIENT] [2021]
Thinking about visiting Ocotal Beach in Guanacaste? Let's drive there then walk the beach! 🇨🇷
→ Ocotal is a small town just outside of Coco, which is on the northwest coast of Costa Rica. Ocotal is a very quiet location with very minimal traffic and only a restaurant up against the sand of the beach. There's lots of condos, houses and hotels spotted along the mountains which envelop the Bay, all of which afford an amazing view of the ocean and the sunset.
→ VRBO has these amazing short term stays available for rent, check them out here https://geni.us/3rdoZZp
→ We're going to start out video in Coco, on the main road of Avenida Central. We'll turn left on an unnamed road, which is just after Rich Coast Diving Shop. This road has lots of shops, hotels and markets along it. It's travelled by foot and bike as well, so speeds are kept down.
→ After a few hundred meters, you'll cross a small bridge and find several hotels/short term rentals. One of these is Cocomarindo, which has some shops out front. Continuing along further, the number of shops becomes less and you'll see a lot more locals houses in this area. Remember to keep the speed down if you're driving as there's kids and families around.
→ After a small climb up a hill, you'll come down into Ocotal, at which time you'll be able to see some of the houses up in the hills. You'll reach a Y Junction, the right will take you to small beach parking, and the left goes through a gate which was open. This gated road will take you do beach parking which is closer to the middle of the beach, and directly to the restaurant called 'Father Rooster's.
→ Where ever you decide to park, you'll be steps away from the beach. At the time of this video, high tide was approaching so the water was both farther up the beach and a bit more choppy. It's also taken on a Sunday, so there's lots of families out enjoying the water and sun.
→ As you can see in the video, the wildlife is more abundant on this beach. We see a White-Throated Magpie-Jay, which looks strikingly similar to a Blue Jay. These birds are a bit bigger and have very unique features on their neck and tails. We also quickly see a Sting Ray jumping out of the water. If you happen to watch the water for a bit you'll always see rays and fish jumping just off shore.
→ Ocotal is known as being a great location for snorkeling. Some of the rocks visible along the shore in this video will actually form tide pools when it's low tide. Even at this time, though, we still saw fish swimming around steps from the shore while we did some light snorkeling.
→ Use caution with the water, as always, the water presses in on this beach heavily at high tide. Many kids were having a blast just getting thrown about in the water as it broke, but just be sure to keep a close eye on young ones.
→ If you're staying in the area, it's definitely worth grabbing a short term rental in the hills. Just be sure to have the proper plans for getting to town if you're going to need groceries often. A rental car will do, and a cab drive wouldn't be too far to be prohibitive.

VISIT LIBERIA, GUANACASTE👋 Walk Through + Sight Seeing [AMBIENT] [2021]
Let's have a walk through downtown Liberia, Guanacaste 🇨🇷
→ Liberia is a larger town on the west side of Costa Rica. It has an international airport, which is conveniently located should you be travelling to northwest coast. It also has loads of store and shops, with prices much lower for some items than you would find in the smaller coastal towns.
→ Our walk begins at the corner of Av 1 and Calle 1, which has the Central Church of Liberia on one corner. We'll check out the Church and Welcome to Liberia sign, then head over to Parque Mario Canas Ruiz.
→ You'll notice that Liberia is quite busy, although there are still families and kids walking around. The roads are travelled at a decent pace by cars, I hadn't seen any excess speeding and the side roads felt safe as well. This area has lots of shops and stores to check out.
→ Kiddie corner to the Parque, there's Museo de Guanacaste - a museum in the middle of town. A few streets further west we'll check out Parque Hector Zuniga Rovira. This is a nice green space with some body weight exercise equipment installed. There's a grocer at the corner of Calle 8 and Av 1 which has lots and lots of fresh produce. It's a nice place to stop for a cold drink.
→ Back on the main road, Av 25 de Julio, there's bigger stores and government buildings. Very well kept and clean appearance. There's cool statues lining the median of the street as well.
→ Our walk ends when we go under the Inter American Highway. This is a raised bypass highway that is the main conduit from north/south. Around this area, there's a gas station and many fast food shops you'd be used to seeing in North America.
→ If you've just moved to the Guanacaste area and are looking for a big box store to stock up on household items, check out Pequeno Mundo. They had very cheap prices on groceries and houseware, and they didn't require a membership to shop.
→ Liberia is a great place to stay if you're planning on visiting and renting a car. It's centrally located to both the beaches of Coco and Tamarindo, as well as National Parks. For longer visits, you can also drive to Samara area or La Fortuna for trips.

BUENOS DIAS 🌞 Morning Walking Tour of PLAYAS DEL COCO [AMBIENT] [2021]
Let's walk around the north end of Playas del Coco this morning, and finish on the end of the beach! 🇨🇷
→ Our walk starts on La Chorrera, which is the road that runs parallel to the beach. We'll turn towards the beach on Avenida Cangrejos, at a scuba shop called Deep Blue Diving. This is where you'll find the cool mermaid statute.
→ Down towards the beach, there's a path/road that runs north just above the sand. It makes for easy walking, and it's used to load and unload small boats directly from the shore.
→ Up and down the roads between the beach and La Chorrera, you'll find more restaurants and shops. There's a few smaller, boutique shopping centers down this way as well.
→ On the beach, you'll pass by a small rock formation that's about 50 meters out in the water. It's called La Tortuga Rock, and it's visible on Google Maps.
→ All the way on the north end of the beach, you'll find water that slightly choppier but still good for swimming. You'll also see an amazing view of Coco and the mountain that wraps the southern end of the beach.

HIDDEN PARADISE 🏝 Drive Out To Playa Penca, Costa Rica🇨🇷 [AMBIENT] [2021]
There's a white sand beach located between Playas del Coco and Playa Hermosa, in Guanacaste. Let's drive out there and see it! 🇨🇷
→ Our drive starts off on Route 159, which is the main road into Playa Hermosa from the direction of Sardinal District. This is a paved and well maintained road.
→ About half way to Playa Hermosa, you'll see a green tarped fence along a bend in the road, this is the entrance to Accesso Playas Penca y Calzon. The two white sand beaches - Penca and Calzon, are along this road. Calzon is the closest, you may see in the video that there are cars parked before disembarking for Penca. This is the parking location for Playa Calzon.
→ Our first stop is at Mirador Playa Penca, which is an observation stop that allows for an amazing view of Playa Hermosa and Culebra Bay.
→ We're heading all the way out to Playa Penca, which is at the tip of the rocks. The road can be carved out fairly well. Having a 4x4 with high ground clearance will make this road more navigable. This was on a very dry day, so although there were ruts with and across the road, the hard pack was fairly easy to go along.
→ When you park at the end, there's a slight walk down further to the beach. Don't expect to be able to pull up to this beach, as there are permanent barriers in place. A small cooler and some lawn chairs would be easy enough to walk down with.
→ Playa Penca is an impeccable white sand beach with very calm water. The water at the time of filming was around lowest tide. There's fish and crabs in the water - this beach will be great for snorkeling. A boat dropped off tourists on this beach so instead of driving you can surely find a small boat to bring you to this location. Ask around in Playa Hermosa or Playas del Coco.

ON THE POINT 🌅 Punta Arenas Sunday Walk [NARRATED] [2021]
Sunday morning walk through Punta Arenas, which is in the Puntarenas Province of Costa Rica 🇨🇷
→ We're going to start our walk at Calle 33 / Av 1, which is on the west end of the peninsula, and essentially at the tip of the town.
→ Much of this area is still residential, although you'll start seeing a mix of shops and hotels as you get closer to the water. There's a large soccer field at Av. Central / Calle 33.
→ Once we get to Av 4, there's Hotel Las Brisas and Puntarenas Park. Looking out straight south, you'll see the Gulf of Nicoya which opens into the Pacific Ocean. Av. 4 wraps around the tip of the peninsula, and it has many shops and hotels along the road.
→ We'll take a look at Punta Pirata, which has a restaurant and small water park, and El Faro de Puntarenas - the lighthouse. The road then turns into Calle 39 and then Av. 3, as it head back towards town. The water in this town breaks very close to shore, and for much of the distance there is wood and choppiness which wouldn't be great for swimming.
→ There's a ferry that loads/unloads here, and it heads across the Gulf to Naranjo. Although it's a nice trip, the embarking/disembarking takes some time, so if you're heading further north towards Liberia it may be a more easeful and time saving experience to drive.

PLAYAS DEL COCO | Comfy Walk To The Beach [AMBIENT] [2021]
Let's take an evening walk down the main strip in Playas Del Coco, and finish off with some time on the beach 🇨🇷
→ We'll start off on Avenida Central, which is the main road into Coco. It's the most buys, with shops and restaurants. There's a Supermarket very close by as well, should you have a hotel in this area.
→ We'll pass by La Chorrera, a street which will take you north towards lots more hotels and longer term rentals. You can drive down this street to find several smaller roads to more quiet areas of the beach.
→ Before you get to the beach, the road splits at a Y junction where you'll find lots of parking that's very close to the beach. There's a lot more restaurants here and people grilling fish on the side of the road.
→ When you get to the beach, you'll find that its very calm and the sand is very clean. Coco does a great job at keeping the beach clean from debris.
→ To the west, there's a skatepark and small outdoor fitness area. To the east, you'll find more restaurants. You can also find boat tours here, as the operators will pick up passengers in this location. The boat tours can be for fishing or snorkeling locations.
→ Playas del Coco are in a crescent bay, which keep the turbulent water away and is far more relaxing to swim in. The beach is flanked by two massive hillsides, and the sun set just over the hill to the west. At some times of the year, the sun will set between a small rock outcrop and the hill.
