RC Car Racing – A Brief History of the Sport
RC car racing is a hobby with a long history. The first RC car was made in the 1920s.
RC cars were first developed in the early 1920s, and were originally called “toy tanks” or “tanks”. They were developed by two inventors from Ohio, John W. Drake, and William E. Smith. Their original intention was to create a toy for children to play with within their yards that would resemble full-sized tanks of World War I.
However, they soon found that their invention had much more potential than just as a children’s toy. The first remote-controlled model race took place on Thanksgiving Day of 1926 at the Tijuana bullring in Mexico when Smith’s and Drake’s cars competed in front of more than 25,000 spectators who had been attracted by newspaper advertisements for a remote-controlled motorcar race.
In 1939, the first official remote-controlled car race was organized by Oskar von Miller with the assistance of his friend Walter Eytan. It was held on a stretch of road near Grafenhausen in Germany. From 1939 to 1942, von Miller held four competitions in Germany and Austria. After World War II, remote control races were frequently held in public places.

06/03/2021 Quiet night relaxing near the fire
House sitting for a friend so that he and his family could enjoy a much needed time away from the "norm" of life. The fire and night's sounds was quite relaxing and almost hypnotic. So, I recorded this so everyone else could enjoy the opportunity in their own ways.

05-18-2021 John and I out at Neale Woods - howling and enjoying Nature
The end of the day of our Side Quests and Adventures, we are at Neale Woods Nature Center north of Omaha, NE. I wish video platforms had opportunities for us to share the photo graphs more than just a thumbnail. We are working on a website as it will be up here in a few weeks with video links, photo gallery, blogs from both of us, tours to join us, and so much more as time unfolds. (Thank you All for being here with us and into the future!) Namaste

05-18-2021 Peaceful nature drive/riding through DeSoto National Wildlife Refuge park
As we are able to leave the park, we both noticed the area was very clear of people, cars/traffic for a long ways. So, I filmed as the car idled moving forward at around 2 to 3 mph. What you will seen is very relaxing and peaceful, as I have watched this video many times before sharing here with you. Enjoy!

05-18-2021 John Kelly drumming to help heal the land from the flood damage
John has been very connected with nature of the forests especially, as we walked a few miles around the DeSoto National Wildlife Refuge park. There was a few times we "felt called" to go down different paths, that we called Side Quests. As like let's say going on an Adventure we all have a path that we are looking to go towards, life just has opportunities that take ya on other paths at times, too.

After a bit of nature time, we found a diner that is called Penny's Diner open 24/7 with many great foods to try. John had the Cowboy Chili Cheese burger with fries & fried pickles, and I have Chicken tenders with fries & jalapeno poppers. This video has us both trying something new, Cheddar Jalapeno poppers with Honey....actually it tasted quite good.

05-18-2021 little bunny being cute...
At the DeSoto National Wildlife Refuge, as we were walking upon a trail we read about a steamboat that sunk near the placement of this video, it was quite fascinating bit of history. Nearby I seen this little bunny pretty well blended into the surroundings.
