What I tried to capture here was the feeling of restlessness that happens when staying up late into the nighttime. Its end-goal isn’t excitement, but I didn’t want to make it something to soothe or relax to, almost like you’re lying down in bed and are unable to fall asleep. I also decided to dabble a bit into color-correction, which I often don’t do. While the film is called “Altadena at Night”, not all the footage you see is from Altadena, but it was all edited in Altadena at nighttime, so from a certain point of view, the title is accurate.
