Wood turning a small vase from Cherry wood
This is part of a monthly challenge on the other platform. ;) The theme was "shrink", to make something very small. So, I decided to make a small vase from a block of Cherry and added a little surprise at the end.

Wood turning a bowl from Redbud
My Father-in -law gave me some pieces of a Redbud tree he cut in his yard. I've never turned it and wanted to see what it looked like and I'm glad I did. I have heard it is very prone to cracking, even when dry, and this one lived up to that reputation. Thanks for watching and I hope you enjoy the video!

Wood turning: Spalted Oak Bowl
After seeing a bowl I made for a friend, my boss asked me to make one for her to give her husband for Christmas. That was a lot of pressure because I don't normally make anything "to order" and I didn't want her to be disappointed, but she seemed to like it. I hope he does as well. Please let me know what you think and let me know if you have any suggestions on how to make it better. And as always, thanks for watching!

Wood turning: Camaru and Mystery Wood Bowl
This is an older video I made about a year ago. Most of my videos are on YouTube and I'm moving them over here for those who aren't too fond of YouTube. This bowl is made from a free sample of Camaru that is intended to be for building a deck. I have no idea what the other wood is, I found it on the beach in St. Augustine several years ago. I figured I'd do a quick project with those two and see what I could come up with. I hope you like it and please like and subscribe if you did! Thanks for checking it out!

Woodturning a Walnut and Ambrosia Maple bowl
In this video I turned a bowl out of, what I believe is, walnut and ambrosia maple. It's pretty small, but the pieces I had weren't very big, plus it's only the second bowl I've tried, so smaller is probably better. I don't think it turned out too bad, but I still need some practice with the finishes. Anyway, thanks for watching, I hope you enjoy it!

Woodturning a Christmas Tree using a duplicator
Greetings! My wife wanted me to turn a Christmas tree for a Christmas party with our church group and I have a wood turning duplicator that has been sitting in the corner for several years. I used it in the past when I made waterfowl calls, but haven't used it in 6 or 7 years. I figured I'd try it out again, but remembered why I never used it for acrylic or resin. This tree is made from green resin, Oak Burl, and Cedar. I hope you enjoyed it or learned something. Thanks for watching and have a blessed day!

Woodturning: Hybrid Green Resin and Cedar Lidded Box
I decided to make a lidded box out of green tinted resin and added some chunks and shavings of cedar, hoping the red of the cedar would go well with the green. I made the top out of cedar, also because I was afraid the body wasn't tall enough for both. Thanks for watching!

Woodturning my first snowman on a lathe
I turned this snowman out of a piece of Crepe Myrtle. He's the first one I've ever made, and although he didn't end up quite like I had planned, I'm pretty happy with how he turned out. Take a look and let me know what you think. Thanks for watching!

Woodturning a small oak bowl
I took a small piece of Oak and turned it into a small, beautiful bowl on my lathe. This Oak has some amazing grain and I can't wait to make more from the pieces I have left! I have been looking at this piece of Oak for a while wondering what I was going to do with it, and decided to just go for it. It was too small for much, but I think I like the little bowl it became. Thanks for watching!!

Woodturning: Green Resin oak Bowl
I had another small piece of Oak and wanted to do a hybrid type wood/ resin bowl. My wife came up with the green, but I ran out of the green powder before I had enough resin to cover the oak. So, I mixed in some white hoping it would give a swirl effect, but it seemed to lighten the green more than anything. Regardless, I'm pretty happy with it. Let me know what you think! And thanks for watching!
