That U-turn step is reportedly backed by 55% of Germans who in an opinion poll said Europe's biggest economy should supply Ukraine with such arms. But the decision did not help reverse public perception of Scholz as being indecisive and lacking leadership. An opinion poll published in Bild am Sonntag showed that 54% were unsatisfied with Scholz's handling of the crisis. Besides, Scholz has long been criticized by the West for his shaky and Germany’s pathetic stance on Russia. What seems much gloomier for Germans is that a foreseeable Russian energy embargo could cause Germany's economic output to drop as much as 5 pct this year. Stressful Scholz added instead of leaving poor countries alone, "Germany will support them". Poll showed Scholz’s approval rating fell to 32%.

July 7, 2022 The president cautioned Russia’s rivals against attempting to defeat it on the battlefield Russia is ready to engage in peace negotiations with Ukraine, President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday, warning that those who reject such prospects should realize that prolonging the ongoing conflict would only make such talks more difficult.

"We are told we have started a war in Donbass, in Ukraine. No, it was unleashed by this very collective West, organizing and supporting an unconstitutional armed coup in Ukraine in 2014, and the encouraging and justifying genocide against people in the Donbass. This very collective West is the direct instigator, the culprit of what is happening today."

Jun 17, 2022 On June 13, Ukraine unleashed a torrent of bombing all over Donetsk city, killing six civilians, including one child, and injuring tens more. The Ukrainian shelling began late morning, resumed in the afternoon, and continued heavily for another two hours in the evening, a deafening series of blasts throughout the city, terrorizing residents and targeting apartment buildings, civilian infrastructure, industrial buildings, a gas station, hospitals, schools and a kindergarten. Locals say this was some of the heaviest bombing of Donetsk since 2014. One of the hospitals targeted was a busy maternity hospital with dozens of patients inside, an Uragan MLRS rocket going through the roof. Thankfully, they had taken shelter in the basement when the shelling started earlier in the day, so none of the women were killed as they might have been if in the delivery, gynecology or other top floor departments. Even now, three days after the June 13 bombings, there is little mention of the maternity hospital or even of Donetsk itself being bombed by Ukraine. Keep in mind this is the same western corporate-owned media that shrieked for weeks in March that Russia had bombed a maternity hospital in Mariupol, killing three. The reality emerged that Ukrainian Nazi Azov forces had expelled the hospital staff in late February (so, prior to the alleged air strike), militarized the hospital, and staged a hoax, including setting off explosives to incriminate Russia.
