Here at Our Wildlife Oasis in an English garden in Berkshire, UK, we welcome our local wildlife to hang out. We frequently have our foxes visit. This time we left out apples for our visitors, I thought that the squirrels would come for them, as they often do, but tonight lil fox showed up and grabbed one and ran off with it :) Such a cute little foxy and big foxy always around to watch out for its pup.

We love have our local foxes visit Our Wildlife Oasis, which is what I call our garden in Berkshire, England, UK. They are wonderful creatures and I enjoy watching them from out window as they are on their daily patrol walk as well as foraging for food or at times simply take a nap and chill. I am happy that they feel safe in our garden.

Just another day of our grey squirrel being cute but also very much defending the nuts we put out there. Here you can see they grey squirrel chasing away magpies who are coming too close to the foodsource. It's not really in its nature to share, it seems. I love how the woodpigeons take over the whole birdbath by simply sitting in it, sometimes I can see one when I look out of the window and it just sits in the water for ages, not moving, just enjoying the cooling water and with their size they fit right in. But on this occasion the pigeon was a bit more active in the process of washing itself and a bit of wing flutter at the end. This footage is from our garden in Berkshire UK in September 2020

It's been a while since we had two foxes on our cameras at the same time, but here they are, beautiful, with their red fur on the daylight footage. We are so happy they feel comfortable in our wildlife oasis where we provide water and sometimes treats, although they are actually meant for the hedgehog. This footage is from the 31st August 2020

It is so important to leave water out for our British wildlife during the hotter summer months. This little fella has no problem getting up to the birdbath for a drink as you can see the grey squirrel hopping on and off it as it pleases. We love to welcome British Wildlife into Our Wildlife Oasis, which is a garden in Berkshire England. Squirrels are so entertaining.

I have been waiting for this footage for a really long time. I knew that we had a couple of jays nesting somewhere near our garden and I was hoping to see young ones soon. Finally juveniles came to visit our garden to splash about and have a bath during the hot summer days during the month of August. I remember seeing this bird for the first time a few years ago. It was flying past my window and all I remember was that flash of blue colour which is the part underneath the wings, not very noticeable at first glance. At the time I thought it was an escape pet, an exotic bird. Then I saw it a few more times and looked it up to know what bird it was and came to learn that this bird was called a jay. Nature is incredible. So, yes, I am so chuffed to have footage of the jay making use of our birdbath facilities.

We love our garden visitors. At Our Wildlife Oasis, we leave out treats and water for our wildlife visitors. This beautiful jay is just one of many beautiful species coming to our British garden. This footage is from the 22nd July 2020. I absolutely love the light brown plumage, almost orange and those blue edges on the wings making the jay appear almost like an exotic bird.

This gorgeous fluffy cat often comes to visit us for some pets. He loves to hang out in our garden and today was playtime. You can tell when he is up for some loving pets or wants to chase something. He is so playful and focuses on the object or prey once the cat instinct sets in. He is a lovely black and white, long haired male and he is one of the reasons why we are thinking of adopting two cats soon as well, should I landlady allow us to have pets :) If that is the case, be prepared for more cat videos from here, hehehe.

When you set up a camera to capture wildlife, you get the most amazing footage. It is beautiful in Our Wildlife Oasis in Berkshire England. We often get the same visitors and you get to know their behaviour quite a bit, but every now and then they surprise you by doing funny things. I had not seen this crow sit on the camera before. I love this video as it starts off by seeing the claws only and then the crow bends down to look at the eye of the camera. They know that we come and feed them and the squirrel often looks at the camera when the birdfeeder or nuthut is empty as if to say: lady, we need more food :) Theyare clever little critters and they watch us as much as we watch them. They know when we come out with food and they also know how to get our attention when they want more food. Stopping by the window as if to say: Have you forgotten about us? I feel very blessed to have my own little wildpark at home :)

Our Wildlife Oasis is a place for wildlife to hang out in, have drink, eat some treats and splash around to cool down during the hotter days of summer. Here is a very enthusiastic female blackbird diving into the little water-dish with all might. The move looks like a corkscrew. A lot of splashing involved here. It is delightful to have these beautiful birds come and hang out in our garden.

Welcome to Our Wildlife Oasis! We have wonderful British wildlife visit our garden and especially birds love to come by for a little splash during the hotter days of summer. Here's a little compilation of birds caught on camera splashing and cooling down over a period of 5 days in our garden. Be it at our pit-stop, where we laid out two little water-dishes or the bigger bird bath. We try to have water ready for them at all times. We do not feed them every day as we do not want them to become reliant on us with regards to their food source though, after all, they are wild animals and need to be able and capable to fend for themselves and teach their young the same. In this video you see eurasian magpies, a european jackdaw, a european robin, female blackbird, coaltit and a thrush These are birds native in Europe. Our garden is located in Berkshire, UK

So, here's a noisy grey squirrel in a tree. I was recently asked, while walking through the woods, what that noise was and I responded: a squirrel. The person who had asked me looked at me in disbelief and I could not prove it as we could not spot the squirrel. So, even though I knew it was a squirrel, because we have a few in our garden and I am quite familiar with their noises and behaviour, the person who asked me who was making the noise, did not believe me. A few days later however, I was able to take this footage of a squirrel making these noises. Granted, the footage is not great, it's shaky and there is a lot of background noise, I cut out the noise where cars were rushing past drowning out the squirrel's noise, but fact of the matter is that the creatures make these noises. I love the way their tail twitches to match the noises. What you cannot really hear on this clip is that this squirrel got a response from another squirrel further in the distance. So this is their way to communicate, what they are saying to each other, I cannot explain, as I am no expert, however I am pleased I got this on camera. Maybe next time I can take my time and use a tripod for better and steadier filming :) In addition to these noises, they also hiss like an angry cat, maybe I'll get that recorded one day as well :) I hope you enjoyed it and even learned something new. This cheeky coaltit disposes off the nut it doesn't deem worthy to eat. The bird picks the peanut up with its beak, then drops it down and side-kicks it off the nut-hut, which used to be a bug-house. The bug-house turned into the nut-hut ( like a British pub ) when the bee-hotel got destroyed by, what we believe to have been, the woodpecker and squirrel, however, we have no proof of that as the camera did not trigger for the demolition action. We try not to feed them too much, sometimes leaving out a few days so they do not get dependent on us, at the end of the day, these are wild creatures and their survival depends on being resourceful and we do not want to give them a false sense of a secured food source. The cameras record night and day and I pick the footage and edit it for the final cut. I could watch these beautiful animals all day long and I do get through a lot of footage. Sometimes the cameras do not pick things up that I see in the garden either.

Lil-fox is one of our regular visitors ever since being a little cub. Still reacting to the shutter and light of the camera it sometimes gets cautious and or jumps back a bit. It is a privilege to see this one grow up from a little cub/pup. I am unsure of the gender as there were two little ones. One was a female and the other a male, I believe. But lately we only ever see one coming back. Occasionally one of the adult foxes passes by as well. Another beautiful encounter at Our Wildlife Oasis. A grey squirrel monopolizing the birdfeeder to eat the yummy fatballs. The squirrels love the suet balls as much as the birds. I love how it tries to wrestle the metal holder trying to get the balls out of it. This is just one of many garden visitors in our Wildlife Oasis in Berkshire, England during the summer. Grey squirrels are common in British wildlife. Whenever I fill up the food cage, it only lasts up to 3 days and gets depleted quickly by the squirrels and birds. We try not to overfeed the animals as we do not want them to become dependent on us, so in between we take breaks and not put any food out so they learn to look and forage for other food sources as well.

This is malamute Q splashing about on a hot sunny day in an English garden. This is a playful way to release energy and cool down at the same time.

We are dog sitting for 2 weeks. This is a very sleepy dog yawning. We are currently dog-sitting in Oxfordshire. Two beautiful malamutes, this is 7, one of them. The summer heat makes them very sleepy. A little morning yawn by this gorgeous malamute girl.
