Let's retrace the stages of Alexey Navalny's political path together. For liberals Navalny has become a symbol of the struggle for rights and democracy in Russia and the world today. We will start from when he was one of the organizers of neo-Nazi marches. We will move on to political campaigns against immigrants, xenophobic messages and support for the violence of the Russian anti-immigration movement, among the most ferocious in the world, responsible for hundreds of racially motivated killings.

In Moscow I spoke with Jeff Monson, a world-acclaimed American mixed martial arts fighter and political activist. Jeff travelled to the Lugansk People's Republic in 2016, and has returned to the LPR and neighbouring Donetsk People's Republic nearly a dozen times since, speaking with every day people about their lives under Ukraine's war on the Donbass. Eva K Bartlett spoke about his experiences in the Donbass and how they directly contradicted media claims, as well as his opening of dozens of sports schools in Russia and now in Donetsk. Monson, together with RT journalist Donald Courter, collaboratively-produced the independently-funded documentary “8 Years Before”, on the suffering that the people of the Donbass under Ukraine's 8+ years of bombings.

Eva K Bartlett spoke with Canadian researcher and writer,Tamara Lorincz, about Canada's militaristic foreign and defence policies, Canada's belligerent NATO role in bombing sovereign nations, Canada's role in fomenting the Maidan protests which preceded the (2014) illegal coup in Ukraine, and, among other things, Canada's support to Ukraine's war on the Donbass. Tamara has a Masters in International Politics and Security Studies and is currently working on her PhD. She has has long been very actively involved in various anti-war, peace & educational initiatives, with an emphasis in exposing the military’s impacts on the environment, Canadian defence and foreign policy, disarmament, & resistance to NATO, among many other things.
