An apology: It's been a busy stretch where we haven't been able to get any filming completed at the range for more meaningful content than this. There's learning points in this video if you peer deep enough into the hasty ambush and failure of the small team of special operators to prevent and counter it. Honor them by learning from their deaths, so that we may live.

No children were harmed in the making of this video. The bangs are safe. The audio was boosted. The first bang is from @airsoftinnovations and can't be purchased anymore unfortunately.

The Illusion of Control
The illusion of control.
Empty hands bring comfort. Comfort can bring complacency. Complacency can kill.
LEOKA stats have shown that attacks happen so fast that 64% of officers were unable to even fire their weapon before being killed. With the average retention draw occuring in 1.5 seconds, this means the attack was likely completed within that time period. Can you fire an accurate round or gain physical control in less than 1.5 seconds?
Not every situation can be won. However, in many cases it is possible to minimize the poor decisions that led to the unwinnable situation.
How can we reduce the disadvantage of going second without turning every person into an enemy force?

Shooting Blind - What is blindfire?
In my opinion, the only true "blindfire" is when we literally have our eyes shut or decide not to listen to our eyes when we pull the trigger.
This is a common issue. We draw, and have already decided to fire no matter what our sights are telling us. This is often due to chasing a blazing time on the clock, but it can create poor habits of ignoring the input our eyes are giving us.
Action vs Reaction
Demonstration of the huge reaction time disadvantage displayed in bullets downrange.
This video isn't to endorse being drawn at any small suspicion of harm, however it does show than when enough evidence of harm exists, your only hope is to act on it and have your gun drawn.
Over anything else, train to use that gun with tremendous discernment, and then train at speed.
