New this year is a huge digital display that shoppers can "wave" at and make fun things happen in the screen. Both kids and adults were making it snow and causing all sorts of light-shows.

A little flock of common bushtits visited our suet feeders this morning, for their after-Thanksgiving snack.

The wind was high on the shore of Puget Sound in Edmonds. Even the seagulls were buffeted around by the high wind.

At Edmonds, Washington, Brackett's Landing Park, I stood on the shore, watching a ferry approach. The wind was blowing hard, and the water was ruffled.

We have had some rain, and the road on which the place I work sits, is flooding. Watch the cars throw up rooster tails like hydroplanes!

A bunch of Chestnut-backed Chickadees enjoyed the backyard feeder, with the bright red Japanese Maple providing the bright red color. Also, some Juncos visited too.

Through my kitchen window, I saw many chickadees eating at our suet feeder. This is the most birds that are not Bushtits that I have ever seen at one time, fighting over the suet. There are both Black-capped and Chestnut-backed Chickadees. And that noise in the background is my cat meowing.

Trees outside my place of work, blowing in the relatively high winds that knocked down trees and power lines over the weekend.

In North Bend, Washington, I stood by the tracks as the old train went by, carrying tourists from the town of Fall City to North Bend, through the countryside. This was a very lucky break! Some of the passengers waved at me as the train went by.

In our backyard, one of our pair of Red-breasted Nuthatches eats suet. You can also see one of our male Juncos on the fence.

There was lots of action at our seed feeder this afternoon. Video taken from about three feet away.

There were so many birds in the backyard today, I stood about 3 feet away and captured them at both suet feeders and the seed feeder. You will see Juncos, Black-capped and Chestnut-backed Chickadees, and Red-breasted Nuthatches.

Hubby and I got home from a walk around the neighborhood, when we saw our local Red-shafted Flicker partaking of our suet in the backyard. She's wearing her winter plumage, with the red mostly gone.

A pair of Juncos visited our backyard. They are normally ground-feeders, and they are "cleaning up" under our seed feeder. The male has the black hood, while the female's head is gray.

In the outdoor courtyard of the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Bellevue, Washington, the lighted trees sway in the breeze, as people eat outdoors at a neighboring restaurant. My Hubby is in the lower left corner.

I filled both suet feeders and the seed feeder this week. We love watching the two varieties of chickadees coming and going from the feeders.

On the way from Detroit to Hillsdale, Michigan, I took video through the windshield of our rented Jeep. It was a sunny Sunday, and the drive was pleasant.

This is a quite elaborate ride at the Washington State Fair, one I had never seen before. The individual cars are very large and elaborately-constructed. The riders have control of the spin rate. You can also see the big slide next door, which looked like lots of fun.

We waited in line for half an hour to ride the Tilt-A-Whirl at the Washington State Fair, and it was worth it. The owners of all the rides in "Sillyville" must have spent the past year upgrading and refurbishing the rides, and it shows.

At the Washington State Fair, while waiting in line, I took a circuit around in place, filming the rides. Lots of happy screams from the riders, and colorful lighting on the rides.

Here are more fun rides at the Washington State Fair in 2021. Notice how many of those lined up for the Matterhorn are wearing masks. They are mandatory this year, indoors or out, regardless of vaccination status.

We went to the fair on its second day, starting at the rides area. I love to watch and listen to the people and the rides.

This male junco is perched on a branch of our vine maple tree, deciding whether to fly over to the seed feeder and have a snack.
