We all hate Mondays, but it's a good day to unwind from the craziness of the world and look over some of the things happening in the law. And there have been a lot of them. We'll talk Kouri Richins. So, when I heard Murdaugh was seeking a new trial, I figured it'd be a complete nothingburger. Throw some weak stuff at the wall, try to make hay out of it. In this case the allegations are shocking and horrific. Let's review the filings together, including the multiple affidavits from jurors.

Donaghue v Stevenson, aka the Paisley Snail case is famed across much of the world. Lawyers have made pilgrimages to the original site, and it is taught in law schools through much of the Commonwealth. Why? What makes this case important? Well, the story starts with a snail in a bottle of ginger beer. A snail that may or may not have existed...

Mondays suck. It's just a fact of life. But we can make them suck a little less by hanging out and sharing tales of our insane legal world. It won't make any of these cases less insane, but hopefully we can get a smile out of it.
