Really, that is as far as Green is concerned, all of my technicians are trained to the Green standard, but it's also allowed us to get our buildings Green certified. So in 2015, we got our first administrative building certified green. And it was the very first one on any Indian reservation in the United States. Two years later, in 2017, we pushed, and we were able to get seven of our buildings on campus Green certified. And then in 2021, my team worked really hard, and we were successful in getting 21 buildings on this campus Green certified. It can be done. You educate them, you empower them. You get buy-in. Students learn "Best Practices" during the skills training portion of the Carpet - Care & Marketing class at the Academy. No longer do we put the cleaning solution into the extractor. The carpet cleaning solution is applied via a pump-up sprayer, then agitated into the carpet pile. When restoring rubber floors, DON'T use a standard stripping pad. Use a TURF pad made of bristles. This will agitate the Restorer chemical and get all around the raised rubber knobs of the flooring material. Stripping pads will only scar the rubber, making it harder to care for.
