A Custom Colt from Miami Vice
Hit TV show Miami Vice did a lot of things right: the colors, the cars, the style, and of course the firearms.
By hiring IPSC and USPSA shooters as well as shooters of various other disciplines as technical advisors, the guns of Miami Vice had an authenticity and cool factor all their own. Case in point is this Colt 1911 MK IV Series 80 Government model used on the series that underwent significant custom modifications by Richard Heinie.
Not only was the pistol featured on Miami Vice, and wielded by Liam Neeson, it even made the front cover of American Handgunner Magazine.
This May, Rock Island Auction Company will offer this Richard Heinie custom long slide 1911.

Out Of Africa: A Rifle of Denys Finch Hatton
A celebrity in his day, British safari hunter and adventurer Denys Finch Hatton was one of the most prominent white hunters in the Golden Age of safari hunting. As at home with British nobility as he was among the dangers and dust of Africa, it allowed Hatton to live in both worlds, even guiding the hunt for the then Prince of Wales.
This bolt action rifle belonged to Hatton, frequently held as one of the best hunters and guides of the era, and surely saw prolific use afield as he hunted the Kenyan wilds in the 1920s.

A Presentation Luger for Hugo Borchardt
Hugo Borchardt refused to make changes to his revolutionary C93 pistol design, and so manufacturer DWM assigned coworker Georg Luger to the task. The resultant Luger pistol is one of the most recognizable and successful pistols of the 20th century.
Borchardt felt he never received the recognition he deserved, putting himself and his former colleague at odds. However, that didn't stop Luger from presenting Hugo Borchardt with a special cased Model 1902 Luger Carbine.
It's a historic arm bearing the monograms of the two men responsible for its creation.
