The Beach Boys - California Girls
Brian Wilson calls this the The Beach Boys' anthem. It usually starts off their live shows. Note the Bach style intro to this song. Kind of builds up anticipation, until the beat picks up into what Brian calls a western rhythm. I'm thinking it was inspired by the old Gunsmoke series on TV. At one time Gunsmoke was closing their show with music featuring this exact same bass riff as on California Girls. Then this song came out a little later.

The Beach Boys - Good Vibrations - 2021 Stereo Mix
The best pop song recording of all time! This version is taken from the 2001 Stereo Mix, from the Sounds of Summer Expanded Edition. They say Mike wrote the lyrics in the car on his way to the recording studio with his girlfriend taking dictation. I hope you like the video/slideshow. Thanks for watching!

The Beach Boys - Surfer Girl
How about some beautiful pictures to go along with some beautiful music? (I did not take these pictures, but I sort of arranged them to fit into this music.) In 2021, Capitol Records came out with a brand new Beach Boys collection: 80 newly remastered tracks including 24 new mixes as an expanded edition of “The Sounds of Summer: The Very Best of The Beach Boys.” (That title had originally come out in 2003 as their most popular collection to date. It had fewer songs, about 30.) As for the video sequencing, I tried to make the pictures go roughly in order through a typical surfing day: Getting there, getting out the gear, getting into the water, surfing, and then watching the sun go down. I’m not a surfer, but my nephews are - KC and Gunnar. I hope you like this video, here are the lyrics to Surfer Girl, which I can remember by heart without even looking it up, due to the genius of the song:
Surfer Girl - Words and music by Brian Wilson @1963
Little surfer, little one
Made my heart come all undone.
Do you love me?
Do you surfer girl?
I have watched you on the shore
Standing by the ocean’s roar.
Do you love me?
Do you surfer girl?
We could ride the surf together
While our love would grow.
In my woody I would take you
Everywhere I go.
So I say from me to you
I will make your dreams come true.
Do you love me?
Do you surfer girl?
My little surfer girl.
Little one, little one.

Lyrics:
Were you there when they crucified my Lord?
Were you there when they crucified my Lord?
Ah, sometimes it causes me to tremble, tremble, tremble.
Were you there when they crucified my Lord?
Were you there when they nailed him to the tree?
Were you there when they nailed him to the tree?
Ah, sometimes it causes me to tremble, tremble, tremble.
Were you there when they nailed him to the tree?
Were you there when they laid him in the tomb?
Were you there when they laid him in the tomb?
Ah, sometimes it causes me to tremble, tremble, tremble.
Were you there when they laid him in the tomb?
Well, were you there when He rose up from the grave?
Were you there when He rose up from the grave?
Ah, sometimes it causes me to tremble, tremble, tremble.
Were you there when He rose up from the grave?
