Restoring a Dead Vintage Milkshake Machine: Unveiling Its Secrets
I bought this online for $40 advertising that I didn't work, most sell for a couple hundred dollars. Mrs Restoration wanted it for the kitchen so the challenge was on. Unfortunate didn't realize how much pitting was under the Chrome so I couldn't electroplated it and ended up having to powder coated but because I had used so much JB Weld, it didn't stick that well on the motor , The restoration scale of 1 to 10 its about a 7 and I enjoy the process of turning it from a display item to a usable item hope you enjoyed watching

110 Year Old Vacuum / Carpet Sweeper Restoration
#restoration #antique #asmr
I picked this up well over a year ago off Facebook Marketplace the seller had no idea what it really was but was gonna make it into a sculpture .
Thankfully couldn't get a design that was going to work for him and I bought it for $50
I soon realised it was missing a major part of it and I didn't have the necessary tools to make this part
So I purchased a 3D printer then I discovered I had to learn how to use CAD to design the missing parts
buy a Propane Furnace to sandcast the parts, with lots of failures and a big learning process
I chose the Devil Forge because of its reputation and could melt up to 10 kgs big shout out to @chrispyskiwiadventures3583 and @bigstackD for helping set up the forge
Then I had trouble breaking up the aluminium parts so I bought a bandsaw to make things safer.
Then I had to buy A printer and Cricut maker then I spent about a month trying to learn how to use everything to get this one video done.
I purchased all these tools out of my own money none of this is sponsored.
I have walked away from some restoration projects because of missing parts now I have all this equipment I can confidently restore a lot more intricate things.
In my research of this vacuum sweeper, there doesn't seem to be many about.
Thanks to https://www.ferrymead.org.nz/ for letting me film the Doty Manufacturing Company Vacuum Sweeper in Curragh cottage
Now the Restoration is complete the video is done any museums in New Zealand would like this please get in touch.

Vintage measuring wheel Rotatape restoration
Vintage measuring wheel made by rotate New Zealand
Brought it on online auction the counter had stop working, looks like a pretty cool design and I thought I could use it on some of the work upcoming
The zinc plating on the extension arms was in good condition and I didn't want to buff it and destroy it so left it with its patina in this restoration

kitchen scales restoration Confiscated
1907 Columbia family kitchen scales
hadn't been used for years
I want the keep the original faceplate but too much rust on it
I had a surprise with the scale faceplate and how the vinyl reacted with the lacquer finish I was using but I was going for an aged look on the faceplate originally so it worked out well.
I'm aiming to do a video once every two weeks
and would appreciate your support with a like or subscribe
Hope you enjoyed watching

Wen hand planner restoration
I notice this Wen Planer on in a auction and I had a project coming up that needs a side fence I thought this would be cool restoration video to undertake, as I was restoring this notice that the nickel plating had deteriorated quite badly and decided to lash out and buy electroplating plating station not quite as cheap as I thought as I don't only want to do just screws but larger objects as well, however I have got it now so we can only move forward on my list of workshop toys {hope my workshop is big enough}
