Kung Fu Hippie
Fake 70's Kung Fu, super 8, trailer.
This "trailer" is rather long, because it is likely the only version that shall ever exist. So, in that regard, it is more like a short film made in the vein of a trailer.
I use to make these faux trailers with the hopes to attract funding for a potential feature length version.

Boogie Down
Paying homage to the sacred genre of DISCO, I used a montage of footage from older projects -- mostly analog clips that authenticate the 70's vintage scene. This is also the first official song of the band, HIPPIE. Reel Groovy Films and HIPPIE are both the creative efforts of John Hartman: filmmaker and musician.

Don't Kill Sunshine
Music by HIPPIE. I used lots of super 8 footage of Bulgarian sunflower fields at sunrise. This is the second song in the album, 'Purple Daze,' which is a work in progress and should incorporate several different genres, including: disco, goth, folk, psychedelic and possibly heavy metal.
Blocking the sun has to be the most unnatural idea I have ever heard of. I don't want to judge others for their ideas but (because we ALL live here) My vibe is to have a global conversation about this. And yet there is one ultra rich brother who has largely been given the power to decide how we live on this space rock. I protest with "DON'T KILL SUNSHINE."
Genre: folk - psychedelic. I actually used an instrument for this one: a tambura. I hope you dig it.

Tune in, Turn Off, KILL TV
KILL TV...before it kills you with lies. From whence the deception comes is up for interpretation. So, I killed a TV set with fire and with a 30-30 Winchester rifle (for EFFECT) More effects from Vermin Supreme and Dr. Timothy Leary. "Look within...find your own divinity." This tune serves both as a track for my first album: "Purple Daze." And as the first song in the concept album 'Was THAT Vermin Supreme.'
