Pete's Point of View w/ Pete Heim (of course)
Pete Heim is back with his numbers and stats to update us on the National and LOCAL markets! You'll be surpised when you hear about the values and days on market.
OH and guess what? Inventories are still LOW nationwide... will it get better soon? Rates are all over the place but we are seeing a trend... is up or down? You need to listen to the show if you want the answers. Don't worry there's NO TEST afterwards.
One more thing... what do you think of Pete's sweater?

WWII Stories Told Now! W/ Tyler Boland
I had the amazing priviliege of being able to interview, Lou Cinfici, a World War II Veteran on my podcast, and it was all possible because of the curosity and passion of Tyler Boland. Tyler (19 years old) is on a quest to document via audio and video, the stories of 100 World War II Veterans. What's funny is he's already past the 100 mark and he's NOT going to Stop!
Tyler tells his story of what inspired him to do this and the passion he has for talking to as many WWII Vets as possible before the stories fade, along with the brave men and women that made up "The Greatest Generation". Lou shares stories of his time serving our country, as he went on to also serve in the Korean War and Vietnam War. Lou is one of 9 brothers and 2 sisters... amazingly enough all of his brothers served in WWII also.
The friendship that has developed between Lou, almost 95 years old and Tyler at 19, gives hope, that even though they are generations apart, there's respect and admiration that goes both ways. I'm proud of Tyler for what he's doing and of course I can't thank Lou enough for all the sacrifices he (and his family) has made for our country. #WorldwarII #WWII #tylerboland #realestateandyou

Other Topics:
- Consumer Credit Score Online vs. Consumer Credit Score that the Lenders Pull.
- Should YOU Try to Time the Market for when the RATES Come Down?
- What are the Experts Saying about Rates for the REST of 2023?
- HUGO chimes in w/ some questions too!! 🙂

He turned his passion for tennis into teaching kids, and young adults through his Tennis Academy called Evolve Tennis Training. One of his more famous customers was Ewan McGregor of Star Wars fame.

Pete's Point of View - Numbers Don't Lie
Pete Heim is back for his monthly UPDATE... he brings the NUMBERS and THE NUMBERS don't LIE! Listen to this lastest episode and learn where the market is and where it's going. OUR opinions after 30 plus years in the Real Estate Arena... and sometimes we actually get it right. 🙂
Are you waiting for 3.5% interest rates before you act on your HOME Goals? Do you think HOME prices are going to drop in a big way this year? I think you may be surprised that it's NOT near as BAD as the media makes it out to be. Remember too, real estate is LOCAL... what is happening in California is completely different than what is happening here.

What We See... A Real Estate Market Update
I like to have my partners at Keller Williams Platinum Realty come in to share their opinions on the market. What are they seeing NOW and what do they think the rest of the year will look like. The three of us are very active working with clients on both the buying and selling side, we like to share "What We See".
We talk about interest rates, of course. That's the hot topic right now. Inventory is definitely still a very big challenge... is it getting better? Do we see it getting better in 2023? I invite you to listen to this short podcast with Susan McFadden, Mark Chaknos, and myself (Brad Weisman). Good content and a little bit of banter too. 🙂

Behind Closed Doors: Pineapples and Bathroom Situations
Wow this episode maybe should have been LEFT Behind Closed Doors... Haha! Katie Marinacci joins Brandon and I in the studio to talk about her Pineapple logo being misunderstood to mean something else. You will be surprised when you find out what an upside down Pineapple means to many in a certain Lifestyle Club. 🙂
Sometimes when nature calls it just happens to be when you're looking at homes... as Realtors we get to witness people having some bathroom situations that don't go so well. You won't believe some of the stories you'll hear on this episode... not for the faint at heart.

What Does a County Commissioner DO?
My good friend, Commissioner Michael Rivera, stops by the studio to talk about his reelection campaign coming up. I also ask the BIG Question of the DAY. What the HECK does a County Commission DO? We vote for Senators, House Reps, Mayors, etc., but do we really know what they are doing for us? The County Commissioner Mystery is finally answered.
WE go back in time to talk about what it was like to get into politics in 2020, 2 months before all hell broke lose with COVID! NO study guide on how to handle a pandemic for the country, state or county.
He looks forward to another 4 years as County Commissioner... listen to this podcast to see if he has your vote! I know he has mine!! 🙂
The Sky Is NOT Falling...Are the RATES
Listen to Pete and Brad breakdown the numbers from 2022 and talk about the balancing we see for 2023. Signs Signs Everywhere Signs!! 🙂
What is really crazy is our local numbers are pretty much right in line w/ the National Numbers. That's NOT always the case. We are seeing pockets of price softening in the certain parts of the country.
Overall Interest Rates have softened a bit and seem to be less Volatile. Home Prices as a whole are still NOT budging too much because LOW INVENTORY is still the TALK of the DAY. Get the rest of the details from Brad and Pete on this latest REAY podcast!

PA Meets NJ with John Scipione
John Scipione is in the top one percent of REALTORS® in the North New Jersey Marketplace, with over 15 years of successful real estate sales experience and over $380 MILLION in sales.
I wanted chat with someone from New Jersey to see what they are experiencing in the real estate market. Is it similar to PA or completely different? Many things are the same but their are some differences. One common challenge is Inventory, which is a tough challenge to overcome short term.
What's funny is none of the agents I've talked to, including John, are overly concerned about interest rates. Rates are NOT in our control and they only define your price range, NOT your ability to PURCHASE.
Give this one a listen!!

The Media Sells Headlines... We Sell Homes.
Pete Heim is back and we focus on how important it is to listen to your local Realtor about what is happening in your back yard. National news is not where to get your information... they are about selling the headlines, they are not selling homes and living in this market like Realtors are.
Rates have settled into the new reality, which is in the 6% range. OUR biggest challenge is not the rates, it's still inventory. Get all the latest REAL NEWS from this show!!

Foreclosures and Sheriff Sales - 2008 vs 2022
It's not a sexy topic, but someone has to talk about it... so why not me! :)
I thought with everyone talking about the doom and gloom of the housing market (that really isn't bad at all), why not bring in Sheriff Eric Weaknecht to talk about the Foreclosure to Sheriff Sale Process. Eric (Weaknecht), shares some numbers from the big crash of 2008 vs where we are today... the numbers are not supporting the doom and gloom.
Foreclosures are still at all-time lows, which means Sheriff Sales will be the same in the years to come. Homeowners have Equity... that's the one BIG difference between 2008 and now.
This episode gives great insight into how the process works. We also dig into the Sheriff's Department's other roles within the County and what we can do to help them!

Behind Closed Doors
An Alter in the living room and a life-size Jesus Cut Out... OH my, the things we see when showing homes to our buyer clients.
Jordan Kreitz (no stranger to REAY), joins Brandon and I to chat about some strange things she saw while showing homes to the same buyers. Two different homes had some pretty exciting items that definitely made her and her clients do a double take. Let's throw in an attic with a padlocked door leading to an area with 10 kid cots.
YUP... you'll want to listen to this one for sure!

Pete's Point of View - Wrapping Up 2022
Pete Heim and Brad chat about the slight uptick in national foreclosures, although they are still very low when looking at the national 30 year averages. Be careful what you listen to when making real estate decisions because national market conditions are many times very different than local market conditions.
We cover a lot on this episode... interest rates, inventory update, national numbers, local numbers and so much more!!
