Ukrainian men protest Zelensky’s new draft measure in Poland
Hundreds of Ukrainians staged a protest in Warsaw on Wednesday, rallying against Kiev’s new mobilization rules. Under the new rules, men between the ages of 18 and 60 can no longer receive documents at consular offices outside Ukraine, with the intention that Ukrainian men of fighting age abroad will be forced to return and be conscripted.
Wednesday’s protest saw around 300 men gather at the Passport Service Center in the Polish capital, demanding passports and other documents which had been denied to them. This follows remarks from Polish Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz, who said that Poland would be willing to ‘help’ Kiev repatriate fighting-age men.

Man attempts to flee Ukraine on air mattress
There are many exciting things you can do on an air mattress. The second most exciting is likely this man’s attempt at paddling across the flooded Dnieper River in order to flee Ukraine into Moldova. As you can imagine, this did not work. Ukrainian border security spotted the man, who was easily identifiable as the only many in the area floating across an international border on a mattress, and rushed to detain him, partly for his own safety and partly to stop him committing the crime of leaving Ukraine. He is now facing charges of crimes against the Ukrainian border.
The man had apparently been set up by a group of anonymous individuals via an instant messaging app, who promised to show him the way to leave Ukraine – for a price, of course. This forbidden international air mattress knowledge apparently came at a cost of €4,000, €2,000 of which was payable upfront ($2,150 and $4,300, respectively). Damn, inflation really is expensive.

Protestor harasses Alec Baldwin to say ‘Free Palestine’
There are many dangerous professions in the world, yet few can compare to heckling Alec Baldwin. Even fewer could do it and somehow make Alec Baldwin look downright reasonable. Social media ‘ambush interviewer’ ‘Crackhead Barney & Friends’ spied a wild ‘white devil’ Alec Baldwin attempting to purchase a coffee and decided to go in for one of her trademark ‘interviews’ (which, for the uninitiated, often resemble undifferentiated screeching).
Her first line of incisive questioning, if it can be called that, saw Ms. C. Barney ask Baldwin to say ‘Free Palestine.’ This line proved to be a dead end via his powers of ignoring her. Her second revolved around Baldwin’s fatal shooting of Rust cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, which saw him slapped with off-again on-again involuntary manslaughter charges. Or, as she eloquently put it, ‘why you kill that lady?’ Once again, Baldwin’s powers of ignorance knew no bounds. She returned to her first commandment, a commitment to Free Palestine, which took the form of yelling it straight for about 45 seconds, while the staff of the coffee shop attempted to have her removed from the area over safety concerns and her incredibly shrill, annoying voice.
It was only at this point that Alec Baldwin succumbed to his natural instinct: rage. Lacking either patience or the coffee he was trying to buy, Baldwin resorted to his fists as God intended. The video of the confrontation later went viral on the internet for one reason and one reason only: it made everyone, against all odds, sympathetic to Alec Baldwin.

Boeing 737 loses wheel during takeoff
A Boeing 737 headed for Cape Town was forced to make an emergency landing after one of its wheels fell off during takeoff. Video footage shows smoke billowing from the now-uncovered rear wheel hub as the FlySafair plane touches down on its return to Johannesburg. In another video, a loud bang can be heard seconds after the plane touches down. The undercarriage and right wing had partially collapsed as a result, images from the scene show.
Thankfully no one was injured in the incident, which is the latest in a long line of Boeing manufacturing failures. The ground crew spotted the missing wheel immediately after takeoff, and alerted the pilot who made the decision to turn around.
Boeing, who are currently facing a series of Senate hearings over their safety and manufacturing quality, declined to comment on the incident.

Huge gator wrestled from airport tarmac
This might be known as ‘a typical Monday morning’ in Florida, but to the rest of the world it looks like fighting a rather large alligator. Staff at MacDill Air Force Base near Tampa spotted this unwelcome guest on the tarmac, casually hanging out next to a refueling aircraft. They alerted wildlife officials, who politely persuaded the gator to leave, using ropes and a remarkable amount of dexterity (and probably a stiff drink afterwards.)
