??Unexplainable Stone Monolith??😯
Deep in the southern jungles of Guatemala, a unique, gigantic, stone head was discovered. The face had unexpected features for this area. Thin lips, long pointed nose, and round eyes. Its face which is supported by a neck, was directed up at the sky. Astonishingly, the face demonstrated Caucasian features, which were not consistent with the mainstream narratives theory of the pre-Hispanic races of America. This amazing artifact has unfortunately slipped away.
Dr Padilla reached the owners of the property on which the monolith was found. However, when he reached the location, it was too late. The monolith was mostly destroyed. Padilla is quoted as stating: “It was destroyed by revolutionaries about ten years ago. We had located the statue too late. It was used as target practice by anti-government rebels. This totally disfigured it, sort of like the way the Sphinx in Egypt had its nose shot off by the Turks, only worse” he said. The eyes, nose and mouth had completely gone. Padilla was able to approximately measure its height as between 4 and 6 metres, with the head resting on its neck. Due to armed attacks between government forces and rebel forces in the area, Padilla never returned.
The area where this particular monolith was found, is known for skyward facing stone heads, that are found throughout the area, and in the jungle. The usual stone heads are said to have been created by the Olmec civilisation, between 1400 and 400 BC. However, the stone head depicted in the photograph is different in its features and style as the Olmec heads.
We can postulate that it was made by an unknown culture, predating the Olmecs, and is the first publicly known artefact identified so far from that culture, in this area. It may be linked to undiscovered sites nearby. It may have even been known to the Olmecs. They may have drawn inspiration from it, creating their own monolithic stone heads. It is also possible that it was created by the Olmecs themselves. It may have been made to commemorate or preserve the memory of an arrival of a traveler from a distant land, or a people they met and interacted with.
Our logical question is, is this monolith just a head, or is there a body underneath the neck. Due to its controversial nature, it is largely ignored by academia and mainstream archeology.
This enigmatic monument deserves further investigation.
