Ditch the Checklist!
When we read the book of Deuteronomy, it may read like a checklist of things God's people are commanded to do, and things God's people are commanded not to do. But if that's all you are getting out of it, you are missing a lot! Deuteronomy is not so much a checklist for us, as it is for God - listing all of the things God does for His people. How does God's checklist in Deuteronomy transfer to us? Join us!

But God also instituted seven festivals in Leviticus that the Israelites were to celebrate together with food, fellowship, and joy! What do these festivals tell us about God? Passive Men Can Be Deadly!
From creation, God has appointed men to be strong, good, Godly leaders of their wives, their families, and the church. The first sin committed was a result of Adam not asserting that role and instead, being passive. We saw it with Abraham and Jacob as well. And Aaron was no better in the narrative of the golden calf in Exodus 32. Throughout Scripture and up to today, we see the sometimes deadly effects passive men can have on their wives, families, the church, and society!
