Fun weekend. Starting with a football game where Pop's team, The Oklahoma Sooners, beat ISU! Then the Smoker gets pulled out for early Thanksgiving meal on Wednesday. Taking 10 days off and enjoying it with lots of family.

TA and Petro have the most parking. Flying J and Pilot are next, but for the most part I stay at Loves. The newer stores have much better parking!

Ol 821 VOLVO (aka Sven) turn about 500 miles today. The fall foliage hasnt found its brilliance quite yet, but the beauty of Washington DC and the I-95 corridor all the way down to Newport News, is incredibly lovely. Hop on board with Pop and watch the roadway and the scenery on the Chesapeak Waterway.

Pop took a week off for personal reasons, but now he's back on the road into a beautiful part of the country, Kwntucky and West Virginia. Ride along with Americas beloved flatbed driver as he blazes a new trail toward Chesapeake Bay!

Part 2 of the cruise through the Old Dominion State of Virginia. Pop begins the day in Eastern West Virginia. Once in the Commonwealth, he turns South and then east along the North Carolina border. First drop was in Danville. Follow along as Pop drives through some scenic byways as early Autumn arrives. We'll see lots and lots of color encrusted mountains, hills, dales, tunnels, and valleys. He ends the day just about an hour West of Washington DC.

Sometimes you just get lucky. On our way back from Memphis, Miss Carol and I stop to spend the night in Tonkawa, Oklahoma. Across the street from the Love's, is a chrome shop. They were having a truck show and BBQ cookoff! Now, we missed the food but, as the sun was seeing we got to walk around some REALLY COOL old workhorses. Cabover Pete, KW single screw with 12 ft stacks! Petes as old as the 1960's! Caterpillar engines, Cummins, Paccar, and Detroits were all around.

Pop and Miss Carol take a swing through the Northwest side of the Empire State. Pop is no Yankee and hes no Gerbil with his mask. So you know how much he enjoyed New York and Illinois. Follow the science. NOT SCIENCE POLITICS!
