New Desktop Hydroponics - LetPot LPH-Max Automatic Growing System
*TIME STAMPS BELOW*
https://www.indiegogo.com/project/preview/a592adf7
https://letpot.com/
I'm really interested to see how the plants grow in this system and I will make update videos. As I have numerous outdoor / greenhouse hydroponic systems the LetPot LPH-Max could be very useful for me growing from seed to small plants before moving them on to my main food production systems.
If you have limited growing space then an indoor growing system could be the answer so if you're interested check out the links above.
The projected selling price is $329 with an 'early bird' price on Indiegogo of $229 and a 'super early bird' price on Indiegogo of $199.

Simple, Cheap DIY Hydroponics Ebb and Flow Growing System
*Sorry I forgot to put the conversion in the video: 450 litres per hour is approx. 118 US gallons per hour*
This is a short video showing a simple DIY hydroponics system I made a few days ago. Materials list below:
43 litre Container: https://ebay.us/49NTzv
I show 2 containers in the video but a third one can be used as a top to protect against slugs / snails etc. and to allow for growing through the Winter by providing a warmer environment due to the greenhouse effect (the real greenhouse effect, not the nonsense we were 'taught' in school).
Urinal Syphon: https://ebay.us/vV2xnu
Oxy Water Pump (450 lph): http://filterpro.co.uk (pumps page)
11cm x 11cm pond baskets (Ebay): https://ebay.us/Utz2B4
11cm x 11cm pond baskets (Amazon): https://geni.us/Ivz2Q
The media used to fill the pots is a coarse ceramic grit and I have a larger version arriving which is more comparable to traditional clay balls. However, it is much rougher and knobbly than the clay balls and from previous experiments with a larger type of this media in ponds I've noticed that the root growth and plant size / health when growing in this media is noticeably better than growing in other media.
I will upload update video(s) and a specific video on the larger media as the trials progress.
Since making this video I have made another system with 1 litre 'air pots' as the media / plant containers and swapped the original clear container reservoir for a mich larger 150 litre 90cm x 60cm x 35cm container to act as the reservoir. Now I have 2 growing systems fed by the same reservoir. Added to that I have used a clear container as a cover for both systems - effectively protecting the plants from inclement weather and pests.
As the systems are outside the cabin where I work I can open them up when I go up there in the morning and close them down on a night when I've finished work - I will make another video showing the upgraded system after I get the new hydroponic growing media so look out for that.
Given the cost of bell syphons and the materials (and associated cost) to make them I'm not sure why people with hydroponics don't use the Urinal Automatic Auto Flushing Syphon - I bought 3 of them for around £5.40 each.

Update on the Tomatoes and Chilli Plants
I've grown a nation of different types of tomato and chilli plants this year and the varieties include:
Moneymaker Tomato
Sungold Tomato
Piccolo Tomato
Green Sausage Tomato
Purple Russian Tomato
Atomic Grape Tomato
Sweet Millions Tomato
Plus various others which I can't remember the names of and early season my NFT hydroponic systems had loads of Micro Tomato plants in them. They matured very fast as I planted them in early February so they were just about finished when I started the main crop of larger plants.
The Chilli plants include the following although the labels all got washed off so I can't recognize them all:
Thunder Mountain Chilli
Chitepin Chilli
Jalapeno Chilli
Yellow Scorpion Chilli
Armageddon Chilli
Apache Chilli
California Reaper Chilli
Plus some more I can't remember....
This harvest shown in the video made 3 x 500ml pasta sauce, 1 x salsa and 1 x chilli sauce - all the ingredients were from the garden except salt, pepper and lemon juice. The same day I made soup from potatoes, leeks, onions, garlic, carrots and herbs - all from the garden and it served 5 people.
Having a garden is awesome......and it's super important since food shortages are inevitable with the insane march toward Agenda 2030 and Net Zero - Remember, you are the Carbon they want to reduce and the likes of the WEF are doing everything to ensure a famine forces uninformed people to beg for their pre-prepared 'solution'.
By growing our own food we can supplement our diets with organic produce and rely less on corporations who put profit over health.
Production of food and power is essential if we're going to navigate the forced changes which will affect the majority of the world's population - and it's not too late to get started.
If enough people wake up the Agenda 2030 nonsense simply will not happen.
Turn off the TV, disengage from 'social' media and get to work - nothing is more important than our families and health as without them we have nothing.
Growing lots of food is easy and cheap once the infrastructure is in place so there is no excuse - you will NOT regret making the effort and it's a situation where you're better to be a year or two early than a day late.

This video on the Hydro Pure technology has 39K+ views and only 9 comments? Doesn't seem right to me.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b5PLdMeU38E
Please write your thoughts and experiences of the Hydra filters / Hydro Pure technology in the comment section if you have experience of it.
My current view is that the Hydro Pure technology works quite well .... until it doesn't. That's a huge problem (especially with the internal filters) when science fails and Nature has been held back and can't take over fast enough.
The 3DM media looks suspiciously like the new Fluval media: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P77-h17EkU0 .... Fluval recommend replacing it every 6 months? That is madness.
Don't "eat ze bugs" - grow your own food and create a new system ....... you can check out my efforts to create a new system to navigate Agenda 2030 on my Thousand Yard Stare channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC1pgJBGQrUfCUAhk63U5u5A
The following videos will be useful for learning more about filtration and filter media:

Bacteria and filter media: https://goo.gl/123gAF
How to clean an aquarium: https://goo.gl/bPMhvh
Aquarium tips / filtration playlist: https://goo.gl/pXgqVj
A full cycle is completed by bacteria - the aerobic part of biological filtration which processes ammonia to nitrite and nitrite to nitrate followed by an anaerobic part which processes nitrate into soluble nitrogen which bubbles off to the atmosphere.
Therefore it requires a suitable amount of excellent quality filter media to be able to provide the environment for both aerobic AND anaerobic bacteria - that is what Biohome filter media does perfectly but even with such good media there are limitations and we recommend the following amounts for different stocking scenarios:
(1 US Gallon = 3.8 litres)
(1kg = 2.2 lbs)
Average community tropical aquarium = 1kg per 100 litres
Average coldwater aquarium = 1kg - 1.5kg per 100 litres
Predator aquarium = 1.5kg - 2kg per 100 litres
Large cichlid aquarium = 1.5kg - 2kg per 100 litres
Malawi / Tanganyikan aquarium = 1.5kg - 2kg per 100 litres
Marine aquarium = 1.5kg - 2kg per 100 litres
Average mixed fish pond = 1kg per 200 litres
Average koi pond = 1kg per 150 litres
You may be disagreeing with the above figures but remember that they are for a FULL CYCLE not half a job - achieving 0 ammonia and 0 nitrite is quite easy since aerobic bacteria grows freely on any surface but the anaerobic bacteria responsible for COMPLETING the cycle needs more a specialized habitat.
Remember to use a water conditioner which does not bind / detoxify ammonia, nitrite or nitrate as that type of conditioner will severely limit bacteria numbers by starving the bacteria of 'food'.
Size a filter properly, set it up sensibly and you will have perfect water - it's that simple....and your filter won't be the dreaded 'Nitrate factory'.....you'll spend less money on treatments too......basically the filter is the foundation of a successful aquarium.
This series of videos is all about trying to squeeze more efficiency out of internal and external aquarium filters which generally have a limited filtering capacity
We all are on a long path of learning.........

"Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day..........Give a man a Bushcraft / Survival fishing kit and he will be unable to resist poaching fish from every stream, river and lake"
As we navigate through the next decade or so of a 'Solar Minimum' cycle our weather will be all over the place, agriculture will naturally be affected due to unpredictable seasons and food availability will subsequently be reduced.
By exploiting the effects of Natural weather cycles to drive through policies sold as 'Environmental' we've now got the World Economic Forum stepping out from the shadows and intentionally destroying the farming industry, eliminating traditional (organic) agricultural practices and disrupting the distribution network in favor of lab-grown 'food' which can be fully controlled and rationed ............ I for one will not "Eat ze bugs"....
"Who controls the food supply, controls the people.." -- Henry Kissinger, 1974
It's not exactly looking rosy but there's no need to panic - there are solutions we can all take to easily mitigate the nonsense.
- Grow your own food - yup, it's as simple as it sounds and any level of food production is good.
- Learn how to hunt, track and trap wild game.
- Learn what wild plants can be eaten (and used for proper medicine).
- Install renewable power supply for your house - solar, wind, ground source heating etc. to be more energy independent. Anything which supplements the power or heating will save money instantly.
These are all skills we would have known back in the day since as a species we had a natural survival instinct and minds which questioned everything. Now through the forced idiocy of TV and 'social' media the vast majority of minds have switched off - let's turn them back on again and start thinking decades ahead instead of minute to minute.

*------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------*
With regard to the 'Nitrate reduction' capability of these filters that is directly related to the type of filter media being used. The Biohome range of filter media is extremely porous and basically replicates what a deep sand bed does but it does it is a perfectly safe environment with no chance of toxic build up from anaerobic activity.
The slower the flow is through a filter the more quickly the water becomes deoxygenated due to the actions of aerobic bacteria and that allows the filter to swing more toward being suited for anaerobic bacteria. This usually happens deep inside the Biohome media (in any external water flow since the flow is slowed down INSIDE the media) but in a slow flow / low oxygen environment (very slow flow filter) more parts of the media can support anaerobic activity since the low oxygen environment inside the filter dictates the balance of active aerobic and anaerobic bacteria.
Since most filters sold as 'Nitrate reactors' have the slow flow but use crappy media with very low porosity and tiny available surface area just imagine how effective they could be when used with a good quality, highly porous media.......yup.
Effective full cycle filtration is simply replicating what happens in Nature but so many people still struggle to understand how filtration works, hence my relentless explanations in the videos.......

*******(I don't do texts)*******
The Biorb tanks have been around for ages and have had NO upgrades to the filtration since the day they were launched which frustrates the living urins out of me ..... Aaaarrrggghh ....... Oase know that millions of fish die every year in the Biorb tanks yet continue to adopt the model of 'After Sales Potential' - basically profit over health ...... are they owned by Pfizer? (Shizer) ...... maybe, lol
'Mr. X' needs to sort this mess out.....
I've backed Oase and dealt with them for well over 20 years - the vast majority of my pond videos use Oase pumps and filters because they are AWESOME but the Biorb filtration system????......damn, it needs an upgrade and now you've got it.....
Amount of Biogravel in each kit is as follows:
1.5kg - 15 litre Orb / Halo
2kg - 30 litre Biorb / Halo
3.5kg - 60 litre Biorb / Halo
3.5kg - 15, 30, 60 litre Flow
3.5kg - 15, 30, 45, 60 litre Life
I don't do a kit for the 105 Orb but it takes 5kg Biogravel to properly cover the foams.
The amount of Biogravel needed is based on the tank base area since it is being used as a substrate in an under gravel filter system - with this system (using Biogravel) you are effectively creating a highly efficient, safe and easy-to-maintain super filter which replicates a living deep sand bed which will process ammonia, nitrite and nitrate for a FULL CYCLE.

How To Build a Solar Powered Pond Filter
As promised this is a video showing how the solar powered pond filter is made and the parts list can be found below.
Solar powered water pump (Ebay): https://ebay.us/U7ofCD
Solar powered water pump (Amazon): https://geni.us/M22pjdB
The pump is the 200 lph / 1.5W version.
Foams, Biogravel and mesh bags: http://www.filterpro.co.uk
I used 1.5kg Biogravel split between 2 mesh bags.
Foams and fine pad would be a set of coarse, medium and fine if bought from FilterPro (Foams page) but they're available all over the internet and from any good pond supplies shop.
4" drainage pipe (any pipe of similar diameter will do)
Decent alternative media would be either the 25mm Alfagrog: https://geni.us/kTwG
or Eheim Substrat Pro: https://geni.us/98euQaB as the Alfagrog works very well in muck and the Substrat Pro is as close as possible to Biogravel.
For a normal wildlife pond it will be fine to have the filter on the bottom of the pond, outlet pointed up, but I used steel 'S' hooks and paracord to suspend the filter about 6" up from the bottom of the container I use.
The water coming into there is from my pond filters and it contains lots of sediment which settles on the bottom

Grow Greenie Pond Venturi For Koi Ponds

Grow Greenie website: https://www.growgreenie.com/
There is a nation of great videos on Gideon's channel showing various venturis in action.....and they're way better than my awful videos, lol
Having a venturi which delivers great dissolved oxygen content is very important and the design of the Grow Greenie venturis is excellent since it works on a multi-venturi principle - that results in a better dissolved oxygen content compared to standard venturis and air pumps / air stones.
Imagine how much difference that will make to fish which require good oxygen levels.....or fish which are recuperating after being ill....oxygen is life and the more oxygen the fish can assimilate the quicker the recovery will be.
I have no financial interest in Green Genie and I'm not paid to make videos - in fact I never have accepted a penny in payment for making videos as I believe it is important to be impartial.
However, I may look to distribute these venturis in the UK if that helps Gideon out in the future.

Have You Forgotten This? A Back-Up Plan for a Back-Up Plan

I'm always amazed how many generator owners don't have a feed in socket or isolator switch then rely on dragging numerous extension leads out to power multiple appliances every time the grid goes down.
That's a mess, inconvenient and can be dangerous.
A feed in socket and isolator costs very little and saves loads of hassle so I'd definitely recommend installing that if you're preparing for a grid-down situation - next time you have a sparky at the house doing work get them to fit the gear and even if you don't own a generator and could rent or borrow one you'll have hassle free power in a grid-down event.
Ideally I could do with a bigger generator but the little 2kW one I have is very quiet, economical and will run most appliances and all the lights in the house no problem - my plan is to buy a 6kW generator when funds allow.
We also have a combined total of 2kW portable power banks which can be joined up and fed into the generator feed - they are handy as they can be charged using solar, mains power or via a generator and as they're portable they can be used for a camping / camper van type of holiday too.
As far as portable solar power stations go I'd say don't bother with anything under 500W and ideally go for 1000W.
Power is so important in a grid-down situation so I like to be well prepared for plan A, B, C and D.
Plan A - mains power when available (or affordable)
Plan B - 12.6kW solar system with 11.4kW battery back-up
Plan C - 2kW petrol generator
Plan D - A combined 2kW of power banks and multiple portable solar panels
Ideally I'd also have a companion to the Plan B which would be a wind generator of around 6kW and 6kW - 10kW battery back-up........but my wife would kill me....

This is a really great grill and as you can see it is easily big enough to cook 4 burgers and 8 sausages which would be fine for a family of 4 unless they are gigantic 'human whale' beasts. If so then there is a larger version available.
The version I have is stainless steel but there is also a mild steel version available which would need to be cleaned and oiled regularly to prevent rust.

Best Bug Out / Survival Rifle? Probably.....
Please share this video with anyone who may be interested - the YouTube algorithms (censorship) won't help this one....
*Links and time stamps below*
Being able to harvest food is becoming increasingly more important as we slip into a Global(ist) food (engineered) 'crisis'.
Most people don't grow any food and have no idea where to forage or hunt but learning these skills is not only good for personal development and health it could be a life saver.
All too often guns / firearms are portrayed in a negative light due to the many tragic events in the US but strip away the superficial mainstream story and a familiar pattern of dangerous pharmaceuticals, FBI 'monitoring' of the shooter(s) and deeply disturbed people emerges - this video is not to make light of any of those events or to investigate deeper into them. It is to show responsible gun ownership and explain that a tool used to harvest food which has been demonized for political agendas can be part of a perfectly normal existence.....maybe not the 'New Normal' though....
The rifle in this video is a Ruger 10/22 Takedown (stainless version) and the stock is a Magpul X-22 Backpacker.
Light is Olight PL-Pro Valkyrie and is 1500 lumens.

From the backpacks I've tested the following will easily hold the this rifle but bear in mind that the barrel has been shortened allowing me to leave the silencer / moderator on.
Maxpedition Gyrfalcon
Maxpedition Zafar
Snugpak Rocket
Karrimor Sabre 45
My favorite of those packs is the Maxpedition Zafar but it is difficult to find now - you may have to pick one up second hand - I did.

In a survival / bug out / SHTF situation the .22LR caliber rifle allows for quiet hunting without ruining the food and less noise = less attention.
A 30-06 or other large caliber rifle may be great for hunting Moose, large Deer or Bear and an AR-15 may be great if things go Mad Max but for the hunting of small game the .22LR reigns supreme.
If you think I did a decent job please share and give it the thumbs up.

This channel is purely a hobby for me so I will never ask viewers to donate money for any of my projects or charge anyone for information - information should be shared freely and I certainly don't consider myself an 'expert' in anything I pursue as a hobby so please do your own research, never accept anything as 'fact', reject anyone claiming to be some sort of authority or 'expert' and make your own minds up about anything you wish to study.
We all are on a long path of learning.........

New Solar powered Hydroponics System
Solar powered water pump (Ebay): https://ebay.us/U7ofCD
Solar powered water pump (Amazon): https://geni.us/M22pjdB
The pump is the 200 lph / 1.5W version.
All of the pipes and fittings can be bought from a good DIY store or koi dealer / decent garden centre aquatic store and most of mine came from Kockney Koi: https://bit.ly/3HoMaS2
They are a wholesaler but I have linked to the product guide so you can see what the parts are called. Most are toward the back of the catalog.
The swimming noodle I made the plant holders can be found here: https://geni.us/D0639 - it is important to go for the hollow version as it has a hole down the middle.
I will do a review video and closer look at the small solar pump so look out for that video. It would be very handy to have for if / when the grid goes down.
Thanks for watching.
