Pastor Spell and the LTC family were not permitted to enter since the court required either a vaccine card or a mask, but we listened to the session on the front steps. This is that session. A Throwback Thursday reminder of what we fight for. This is when Governor John Bel Edwards of Louisiana addressed the issue of "The Pastor in Central..."--who, by the way, is Pastor Tony Spell. Govenor: "In the grand scheme of things, it doesn't make sense." HOW? Does it make sense NOW, saints? "He had more people in the congregation than he should have..." Listen, we've been holding services and providing a place of hope, Faith, and Holy Ghost power church for almost two years since the illegal orders--and for more than a 65-year history at LTC. For whosover will. Which part doesn't make sense? Faith in and of itself has never made sense to the world. But. we. still...Contend for the Faith!

On January 12, 2022, the Louisiana Supreme Court dismissed Pastor Tony Spell's lawsuit on the grounds of "Qualified Immunity." A few short days after the dismissal, the Governor of Louisiana, John Bel Edwards, in an unconstitutional and unprecedented move, issued an intervention to usurp all authority in Pastor Spell's criminal case for holding church services. Basically, Edwards is using all of his attorneys, agencies, and power that comes with his position to influence the outcome of the case in his favor. He states that Pastor Spell was killing lives and endangering congregants while he (the governor) was saving lives... We will share more about that case very soon.
