Living in a Fallen World

1 Corinthians 2:2–5 (NKJV) 2 For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. 3 I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling. 4 And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, 5 that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.

In Todays World we live in, its a challenge not to become angry or bitter when there are so many abominations against God. We need to stay motivated to live with right motives in spite of our sinful culture.

Any building that is built without a solid foundation will crumble and fall. A Building needs to be solidly anchored to the ground so it will stand in stormy weather. A shaky foundation will not last and in time it will be destroyed. You obviously know the illustration for your life as a Christian, not foundation in your life leads to destruction, a solid foundation in your life you will be able to stand in life’s storms.

How long will God wait while humanity struggles with the soul? People looking for fullness in life but only find emptiness, people looking for purpose only to wonder around never understand where they belong, people looking for direction but walk around lost. Anyone who comes to Jesus is first called by God, how you respond to God is up to you, but God calls to everyone, some hear, listen, and obey, and some don’t. Scripture is clear that you cannot come to God unless you are called:

Mothers are essential for a good family. They are often under-appreciated, rarely recognized, but are important to God and the family. Lets honor the mothers this Sunday and not take them for granted.

If people follow anyone else except Christ then that is a worthless religion. You might strongly agree with the denomination or the person, but it is Christ who is to be lifted up and His words are the words we follow.

We are called to be the salt of the earth and a light that shines. Salt heals wounds but it is very painful, truth heals the heart but exposing sin is painful.

There is rest for those who have faith and walk in belief in Jesus Christ
