In the 1930s a group of unlikely scientists would form a group that would turn into the Jet Propulsion Laboratory and Eventually NASA.

Werner Von Braun was one of NASA's greatest scientists. Despite his major impact on the Apollo program, he was well known as the inventor of the V2 rocket which rained destruction all over Europe during WW2. Furthermore, he was a known Nazi collaborator and he has been accused of committing atrocities in the name of advancing rocket science.
