Texas Police Helicopter captures shootout on highway
SAN ANTONIO, Texas (KTRK) -- New video shows a chase leading up to a deadly shootout in San Antonio.
DPS troopers just released video of the February chase that started when a man drove away from a traffic stop.
Authorities say a trooper stopped the car in Guadalupe County for a traffic violation, and the driver gave a false name and sped away.
The footage shows the driver opening his car door as the vehicle was still in motion, before completely exiting the vehicle as it came to a full stop. He can then be seen firing at a trooper, who was shot in the arm.
The suspect, later identified as 33-year-old Ernest Manuel Montelongo of San Antonio, was shot by a state trooper in the exchange of gunfire at the scene and later died at a hospital from his injuries, according to the Associated Press.
The wounded trooper is doing well.

Woman With Child in Car Rams Multiple People & Police Cars While Trying to Avoid Arrest
24-year old woman was spotted driving erratically and refused to come quietly when confronted by cops
A woman has been arrested in Georgia for leaving a trail of devastation with her Inifniti SUV while trying to avoid arrest.
Police were initially alerted to the woman’s reckless driving by a member of the public who claimed her Infiniti QX56 was veering into the opposing lane on the approach to Byron, almost hitting oncoming traffic. And by the time police caught up with her at a highway intersection her vehicle had been blocked in by members of the public.
But the woman, later identified as 24-year old Sierra Hibbert of Warner Robbins, GA, refused to acknowledge officers, and after a stand-off lasting several minutes, backed her car into a vehicle behind, then escaped by driving forward, hitting a police car, a police officer and two witnesses in the process.
Worryingly, the woman had a small child in the back of her SUV, but officers had placed spiked Stop Sticks underneath the wheels, so while she had escaped, they knew she wasn’t going to get far. Unfortunately for the City of Byron Police Department’s annual budget and whoever owns the SUV she was driving, she still had plenty of time to make an even bigger mess of their Ford patrol cars and her Infiniti before she was finally apprehended.

Man gets shot after charging at female cop with knife in Phoenix, Arizona
An intoxicated, knife-wielding man was shot as he charged at a Phoenix police officer while threatening to “slice” her throat, wild video shows.
The officer manages to reengage Brouseau, stopping him from approaching the other person as she calls for backup. The suspect then focuses again on the officer, whom repeatedly tells him to drop the weapon, video shows.
“Shut your f–king mouth, b—-h!” Brouseau said as he walked toward the cop and around a police vehicle. “Shoot me – I’ll kill you, you stupid little bitch! I’ll f–king slice your f–king throat!”
Brouseau continued to repeatedly ignore the officer’s commands to drop the knife and sit on the ground, prompting the officer to shoot him as he started running toward her, video shows.
The footage, released Thursday by Phoenix cops, shows suspect Jon David Brouseau, 55, repeatedly threatening to stab a female officer when she encountered him on June 14 in a parking lot of a supermarket.
Officers responded to the scene after someone called 911 to report that a “drunk man armed with a knife” was threatening customers inside, police said in statement Thursday.
“Drop the knife!” the officer tells Brouseau, video shows. “Put it on the ground!”
“No, I’m going to f–k you up,” Brouseau responds before turning his attention to another person in the parking lot whom he also threatened with the knife.
