Before I could start on module three Maroon Creek, I needed to make some decisions on backdrop height while also keeping a future valance in mind. Modules 1&2 are wired and track is hot in those areas. I'll still need to configure the LCC, but I won't likely do that until all 4 modules are complete. Things are still on course! More work and progress at Maroon Creek. Maroon Creek has come a long way, I'm very close to permanently affixing the track to the sub roadbed. I would love to have trains running by the end of April, I doubt it will happen but I actually think I'm slightly ahead of schedule unless the backdrop gives me fits!

Another video heavy on benchwork. There is no way around it, something things just have to be done before you can move on to the more satisfying aspects of the hobby. I'm slowing down and enjoying the process and doing my best to get things right.

It took a while to produce this one. Maroon Creek has been sitting in the shop on my work benches collecting dust since before Christmas! The weather was really nice this weekend and I decided that if I'm ever going to finish this project I needed to get busy!

The structure was designed by Lowell Ross and featured in the 2003 Narrow Gauge & Short Line Gazette. I'm doubtful that my build will be as wonderful as Mr Ross's but you have to start some place. As in most cases with the OC&RG I like to build mock-ups before I try my hand at the real thing and this build was a little more complicated than four walls and a roof. I'm not sure how many videos will be part of this playlist but expect several and over a long period of time, I have no idea what I'm doing!!

Still working on a few things that have been bugging me, added a panel at the west end of Frying Pan for more ergonomic control.
