The Great Cover-up of Psalm 51 and its connection to the Tabernacle of David
In this podcast, I want to talk about arguably the greatest cover-up of the meaning of a Bible verse in the history of the Bible. And this misinterpretation has an odd connection to an important prophetic event, the Tabernacle of David.
What did King David really mean in Psalm 51:5, when he wrote: "in sin my mother conceived me?"
I think it means exactly what it says, David was illegitimate and his illegitimacy played a major role in the construction of the Tabernacle of David.

The Day the Sky Split in Two!
A while back, I wrote an article on opentheword.org, about an asteroid named 2018 AH, that would be passing by the earth on December 27, 2021. There was never anything to worry about, since it would be nearly 4.5 million kilometers out when it hurtled by.
But at the end of that article, I wrote about the odd connection that a story in the Jerusalem Post about 2018 AH had with a verse in the Book of Revelation, the Apostle John’s vision of the end times, when the writer compared 2018 AH with an asteroid that exploded over Siberia in 1908.

Three signs that you are being controlled by a Spirit of Fear
in this podcast, I want to briefly look at three indicators that may suggest you are being controlled by a ‘Spirit of Fear’. Of course, there are varying degrees of fear, but fear has one goal; it wants to control you and at times, we are completely unaware that are decisions are being dictated by our inner fears.

What to do with a strange FLASHBACK
Am I the only person in the world who has flashbacks of things that happened to them decades ago? A while back I had a strange flashback of an incident that happened 45 years ago involving my old Rambler station wagon. In this video, I explain what may have been the reason behind this old memory flooding my mind and then explain what I believe God wanted me to do about it.

Is there a demonic root to communism?
In this podcast, I ask the question: Is there a demonic root to communism? As we read some of the writings of Karl Marx, the founder of modern communism, we see hints of the demonic. We also briefly talk about the 'Throne of Satan,' that the Apostle John referred to his vision of the end times. For a brief period of time, this throne actually ended up in the Soviet Union during the reign of the USSR's Communist President, Josef Stalin, one of the worlds greatest mass murderers.

Why did Sir Issac Newton predict the world would end in 2060 AD?
Many people don't realize that scientist Sir Isaac Newton had a keen interest in the Bible and End Times theology. After hours of research he concluded that Christ would return sometime after 2060 AD.

Does the Ipuwer Papyrus solve the Biblical myster of the Egyptian guard?
In this podcast, I want to discuss an issue that has puzzled many people namely: why don’t we find any mention of the devastating 10 plaques or Israel’s departure in Egypt’s archaeological records.
Though Egyptian pharaohs were notorious for downplaying their defeats and glorifying their victories, you would think there would be at least some hint of Israel’s exodus.
Well in fact there is a reference to the plagues, but it hasn't caught most people's attention because it puts the Exodus 300 years earlier than traditionally believed.
It is found in the Ipuwer Papyrus.
And as strange as this sounds, this papyrus also helps solve another the mystery of the Egyptian guard.

The worst chapter break in the Bible
In this vlog, I discuss what is arguably the worst chapter break in the Bible and how it has the potential to affect our identity in Christ. I also talk a bit about Stephen Langton, the Archbishop of Canterbury, who created the chapter breaks and the profound impact he had on our modern democracies.

The Ten Commandments movie (1923 version)
This is the 1923 black and white version of The Ten Commandments produced and directed by Cecil B DeMille. The movie starts out with the Biblical account and finishes with the story of two brothers and their views of the Ten Commandments. The movie was filmed in Santa Barbara County, California and was a hit upon its release. DeMille would go on to produce two more films in this trilogy -- The King of Kings and The Sign of the Cross and he would do a remake of The Ten Commandments in 1956.

When do Christians cross the line on Civil Disobedience?
In this vlog, we discuss the tensions in the Christian community on the issue of civil disobedience. It came to the forefront during a protest at GraceLife church in Alberta, Canada, after the RCMP put up a barricade to prevent people from attending services that were in violation of the province's lockdown. Protestors were disagreeing on how far they should go in acts of civil disobedience.

When Jesus paid the Temple Tax, and why?
In this podcast, we discuss the unusual incident that took place in the Gospels when Jesus agreed to pay the voluntary Temple Tax. Jesus was in a constant conflict with the Jewish leadership of the day, and even though the half shekel tax was voluntary, Jesus agreed to pay it.
Why did He do that?

What Ephesians 4:26 has to say about our Amygdala?
In this podcast I discuss some interesting advice the Apostle Paul gave about 2,000 years ago, and how it affects our amygdala. It's based on a study by researchers from the University of Miami who concluded holding resentments and negativity in your mind can affect your mental and psychological well being.

How many crosses did Jesus die on?
The Bible records in the Gospel of John that Jesus was crucified along with two other men who were placed on either side of Him. But most Christians believe that in the middle of one of those nights when Christ died for the sins of the world, that God switched Jesus too one of the other crosses. Jesus' disciples were so traumatized by what happened, they didn't even notice the switch and never recorded it in the Bible.
Yet, this is what most Christians believe.

The Secret Message in the Dead Fig Tree Incident
In this Bible teaching, I discuss one of the more puzzling stories in Gospels and perhaps even offer a bit of an explanation of the secret message that Jesus was trying to pass on through it. It involves the time that Jesus cursed a fig tree, because it bore no fruit. And oh yeah, grab a sandwich, you'll need it to interpret the secret message.

What happened to the Ark of the Covenant?
Sometime around 586 BC, the Jewish Ark of the Covenant completely disappeared from history.
The Ark was a gold-plated box with two winged cherubim that sat inside the Tabernacle of Moses, the Tabernacle of David and lastly the Temple in Jerusalem. On top of the Ark sat the very presence of God and as a result it was the most important piece of furniture in the Jewish Temple.
In this podcast, I discuss the mysterious disappearance of the Ark of the Covenant and any Biblical evidence and ancient conspiracy theories that that may help us understand what happened to the Ark.

Does the Bible warn of nuclear war in the end times?
In this podcast, we discuss several Bible passages that might be referring to nuclear war in the End Times or a period know as the apocalypse.
Many of the Bible's prophets were seers, meaning they were having visions of future events. If the events took place in their life time, there was usually no problem understanding what they were seeing.
But what if they were having visions of events taking place thousands of years in the future, how would they describe a Intercontinental Ballistic Missile when the most advanced weapons of their day were swords and spears?
How would they describe the aftermath of a nuclear war? Because of their non technological vocabulary we have to look for other clues in these prophecies that might be suggesting nuclear war.
