Putting drywall over the old nasty textured plaster and brightening up the kitchen with recessed lighting. This made a huge difference and our kitchen remodel is trending in the right direction. We combined the wood from the existing raised bed gardens with some reclaimed barn wood to transform the garden! Then added stone and our plants to complete the process.

Welcome to the very first Fun Build Friday! The Fun Build Friday series is meant to be a way to take a break from the remodels and renovations and have some fun going into the weekend. There will consist of cool wood projects, Lego (and other building block) builds, and other fun and interesting projects to break up the normally scheduled content. FBF #1: This video is a Mini Building Block (not Lego) set of the Gateway Arch that I picked up from the National Park a couple months ago. This ended up looking really cool, but was frustrating to build. The pieces are much smaller than Legos and there are sooooo many! I'd still recommend this, but plan on being patient with it.

Today we take this hall bath down to studs in preparation for a full remodel. Enjoy the removal of a 2"+ floor section, 2 layers of drywall, and a cast iron tub that had a mouse house underneath. Stay tuned for part 2 when it all comes back together.

Looks like the air ducts in this house have gone a long time without a cleaning. Some of the more interesting finds were a sippy cup, several sticks of chalk, a couple dollars worth of change, a plastic fork, several small toys, and a ton of dirt. Nothing the shop vac couldn't handle.
