Notwithstanding an obscure past including drugs and the adolescent equity framework, Ben Cronin (Bradford) appears to have everything: a chance at a California college scholarship, a devoted girlfriend (Shiri Appleby), and a loving mother. Ben is involved in a flirtation with Madison Bell (Christensen), a charming transfer student who seduces him into supposedly strings-free sex during an impromptu swim lesson after hours in the school pool, the same week that athletic scouts will decide his future.
