Nothings reminds me of Christmas more than 100-degree days here in Florida during summertime... Thanks to our beautiful & sweet cat Kona, she is ready to start hanging stockings and have Christmas in June! Kona retrieves stockings from storage. In reality though, she loves playing with the mini stockings as if they are cat toys. She loves climbing up into the stash, finding the best one (or usually off of them) bringing them down, into whatever room she feels best at the time. Some days, you can find a Christmas stocking in every room in the house! Splooting Cat Manipulates Human into a Grooming Session It's MUGSY time! I wish each one of you could meet this goofball kitty cat. The beginning of the video shows Mugs in his standard sploot (we call it splat) position with his head looking straight down. This position makes his side profile resemble a seal. Yep, an ocean seal... As soon as he feels the comb his eyes light up as he knows a grooming session from the human is about to commence. Kitten "Mini" must have been a bird in a former life or at least a pair of wings. As soon as she started walking - she started jumping as well. At first, she never landed right but now, she's come a long way even getting inverted and still landing on her feet. She is the Airborne Kitten that wishes she had wings (and maybe a parachute)

Gray, our senior most Manx Cat SPOOKED the heck out himself over a random hair dryer filter. Why? NO CLUE! It made no sense at the time but what I will say is that Gray has what seems to be a photographic memory. He knows where every object and obstacle in the house is at all times and displays it by running at lighting speed without missing a step or knocking anything over. Its impressive. Because this random filter was on the kitchen counter getting cleaned it may have thrown him for a loop as this would be a foreign object in a space, he knows well... Even though its literally a FLAT piece of lint trap 3 inches in diameter... Only Gray knows what was going through that kitty cat brain of his. Luckily, I had the camera out filming to catch these events unfold. An entertaining response indeed. I don't believe any of the other kitties knew why he was tripping out over this thing but of course they had to get in on the nightly entertainment. Weve never tried the cucumber thing but that may be something we do in the future - only to the ones that we know can handle it (I've heard mixed statements about doing this to cats, my opinion is that it should be fine with a self-confident strong-willed cat) Thanks to everyone for reading this far, leave a comment about an object your cat(s) have gotten randomly spooked over, how they reacted, do they still respond this way to that object? Last thing- I slowed down a couple short sections to show how Gray's Manx nub (where his tail would be) will randomly move ever so slightly. Its super cute haha.

These kitten maniacs are a funny group when it came to feeding. Even though Mom has 8 places to nurse from, the kittens always want the spot that another one has. Nursing time always becomes an entertaining maniac session, toppling over each other & fighting for that perfect spot on mom, never a dull moment.

Cat's Afternoon Wake Up results in a mrrp & a meow (kind of), a goofy face, and a big stretch. Mugsy is a kitty of many faces and many reactions, you just never know what you're going to get.

We have had Chance ever since hurricane Irma. He was born during the hurricane (we estimate) Our next door neighbor at a former residence came running up to us saying she had to save 2 kittens from a bad situation and next thing we know she's knocking on our door with 2 kittens in a plant pot. Our first neo natal kittens, raised by hand. Chance and his sister Cammy.

Tyke talking as he does... A lot. It never gets old though. That cute little raspy meow of his is a treat to the ears. Tyke's Manx trait didn't hit him as bad as it did some of our other as you can see, he has about 1/3 of a tail. For comparison - his blood brother Gray has no tail, barely a nub at all. Two Manx Kitties sprinting up and down the halls like speed demons! Getting that much needed indoor exercise & enrichment. Fun Fact: Manx cats hind legs tend to be longer than other cats so technically they should have a few advantages when it comes to running, speed, jumping, etc. Times are tough; cat food isn't always on the shelves at our local stores, and for the first time ever we have set up a donations page. "Lil Tyke" came from the outdoors as a feral kitten. He was the hardest cat we've ever had to catch. I would be outside at 2am with a wand toy playing with him while he is on the other side of a bush trying to lure him close (it never worked) Finally, one day as he approached 12 weeks of age, we were able to capture him as the alure of treats and good food just became too much for him to handle. To this day he still enjoys burrowing & getting into places you would never guess. With a unique raspy voice, he is one of our biggest talkers. Tyke holds a very special place in our hearts.
