After a long and difficult stretch in prison, Michael De Santa is finally released. He is determined to start a new life with his family, but he soon finds himself drawn back into the criminal underworld. When Lester Crest, an old acquaintance, offers him the chance to pull off a major bank robbery, Michael sees it as an opportunity to make some real money and start fresh.
The robbery goes off without a hitch, and Michael and his crew make off with millions of dollars. But the job also attracts the attention of the authorities, and Michael is forced to go on the run. He must use all of his skills and cunning to stay one step ahead of the law and protect his family.
Along the way, Michael will have to confront his past and make some difficult choices. But if he can pull it off, he may just be able to achieve his goal of a new beginning.
