"Set Apart for His Glory: Understanding Sanctification in the Christian Life"
Website: www.PastorTodd.org

Sanctification is the heart of God's transformative work in us. It is not merely about outward conformity to a set of moral standards but involves a deep, inward change that aligns our hearts, minds, and actions with the will of God. This process requires our active participation—yielding to the Holy Spirit, immersing ourselves in the Word of God, and living out our faith in obedience and reverence to God.
Why is sanctification crucial for Christians? It is through sanctification that we are made more like Christ, enabling us to live lives that are pleasing to God and effective in service to His kingdom. It strengthens our witness to the world, as our lives reflect the transformative power of the gospel. Sanctification is also a testimony of God's grace and love at work within us, shaping us into vessels fit for His use.
Let's delve deeper into the concept of sanctification, exploring its nuances and profound impact on the Christian journey, guided by the scriptures provided. Sanctification, in its essence, is both an immediate work of God and a progressive journey towards holiness and purity in our lives. It's a divine call to be set apart, not in isolation but in character, marked by a life that reflects the heart and values of God.
1. **2 Thessalonians 2:13** - "But we are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God from the beginning chose you for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth."
2. **1 Peter 1:2** - "Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, for obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace be multiplied."
3. **Hebrews 12:14** - "Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord."
4. **1 Thessalonians 4:3-4** - "For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you should abstain from sexual immorality; that each of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor,"
5. **1 Corinthians 6:11** - "And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God."
6. **John 17:17** - "Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth."
7. **Romans 6:22** - "But now having been freed from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, everlasting life."
8. **Ephesians 5:26-27** - "That He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish."
9. **1 Peter 1:15-16** - "But as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, 'Be holy, for I am holy.'"
10. **2 Corinthians 7:1** - "Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God."

I don’t like to argue over doctrinal variances.
We are in such a battle right now and the last thing we need to be doing is arguing over age-old doctrinal variations. I’m not talking about heresy, I’m talking about areas of theological differences in the Body. Matters that are NOT Heaven or hell, salvation issues. We do call out false teachings and things that don’t align with scripture as we are called to do.
Some people believe in women preachers, some don’t.
Some people believe in a pre-trib rapture, some don’t.
Some people believe that Christians can have demons, and some don’t.
We need to take these matters to the Lord. We need to seek His heart on these matters.
There are some things that will always be debated until we go home with the Lord. I am not your enemy if you don’t see completely eye to eye with me in one of these areas. I respect your view.
Dr. Hayford used to say, “Let’s focus on the 98% we agree on rather than the 2% we don’t”.
Right now, we are in a war. We need to stand together. We need to know who the real enemy is. It’s not other believers. We need to stop attacking each other. We can agree to disagree on some of these doctrinal variations. Don’t get distracted. That’s what they want!
While the Bible does not explicitly say, "Do not argue over scripture," it does provide guidance on how believers should approach disagreements and disputes within the body of Christ.
Here are a few relevant passages:
1. 2 Timothy 2:23-24
“Don’t have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels. And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful."
2. Titus 3:9
“But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and arguments and quarrels about the law, because these are unprofitable and useless."
3. James 1:19-20
“My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires."
4. Romans 14:1
“Accept the one whose faith is weak, without quarreling over disputable matters."
These passages emphasize the importance of avoiding pointless arguments and quarrels over non-essential matters of faith. Instead, believers are encouraged to be kind, patient, and quick to listen, seeking unity and understanding within the body of Christ.
While healthy discussions and debates about scripture can be beneficial for learning and growth, it is crucial to maintain a spirit of humility, love, teachability, and respect towards one another, recognizing that unity in Christ is paramount.
People are always trying to pull me into these different arguments. I’m not going to do it. I am too focused on soul-winning and the real battle at hand. If they want to have a kind discussion, I would love to speak with them. This is not the world, we are the Body of Christ and we need to act like Christ.

The Transformed Mind: A Christian Perspective on Renewal and Growth
In a world filled with constant noise and distractions, the concept of a transformed mind holds profound significance for believers seeking to live out their faith authentically. Rooted in the teachings of Scripture, the transformation of the mind is not merely a superficial change in thought patterns but a profound spiritual renewal that impacts every aspect of our lives. From our attitudes and perspectives to our actions and relationships, a transformed mind enables us to embody the truth and love of Christ in a world desperately in need of His light.
Understanding Transformation:
At the heart of Christian faith lies the belief in transformation—a process by which believers are renewed and conformed to the likeness of Christ. This transformation begins with the renewing of our minds, as the Apostle Paul eloquently articulates in Romans 12:2: "And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God."
The Role of Scripture:
Central to the renewal of the mind is the study and meditation on God's Word. The Bible serves as a transformative tool, illuminating our hearts and minds with divine truth and wisdom. As we immerse ourselves in Scripture, allowing its principles to penetrate our thoughts and attitudes, we open ourselves to the transforming work of the Holy Spirit.
Cultivating a Transformed Mind:
Practical steps toward cultivating a transformed mind include:
Renewing our Thought Patterns: By actively identifying and challenging negative or ungodly thought patterns, we pave the way for God's truth to take root in our minds. This process involves replacing worldly perspectives with biblical truths, aligning our thinking with God's Word.
Practicing Mindfulness:
Mindfulness, from a Christian perspective, involves intentionally directing our thoughts and attention towards God's presence and truth in every aspect of our lives. By staying mindful of His presence, we cultivate a deeper awareness of His guidance and sovereignty.
Guarding Against Negative Influences:
In a world saturated with messages that contradict God's truth, believers must be vigilant in guarding their minds against negative influences. This may involve limiting exposure to media or content that promotes ungodly values and ideologies, while actively seeking out sources of spiritual nourishment and edification.
The Fruit of Transformation:
The transformation of the mind yields abundant fruit in the life of the believer:
Renewed Perspective:
A transformed mind enables us to see ourselves, others, and the world around us through the lens of God's love and truth. We gain clarity and wisdom in navigating life's challenges and uncertainties, trusting in His providence and sovereignty.
Empowered Living:
With a renewed mind comes a sense of empowerment to live boldly and authentically for Christ. Freed from the constraints of worldly thinking, we are emboldened to pursue God's purposes with passion and conviction, knowing that He equips and empowers us for every good work.
Transformed Relationships:
As our minds are renewed, our relationships are transformed. We approach others with compassion, grace, and humility, reflecting the love of Christ in all our interactions. Our transformed minds enable us to extend forgiveness, show empathy, and build bridges of reconciliation in a fractured world.
The journey towards a transformed mind is not always easy, but it is one of immense significance and reward. As believers, we are called to continually renew our minds, allowing God's truth to shape our thoughts, attitudes, and actions. In doing so, we bear witness to the transformative power of Christ, embodying His love and truth in a world hungering for hope and redemption. May we, therefore, commit ourselves to the pursuit of a transformed mind, knowing that in its renewal lies the pathway to abundant life and eternal significance in Christ.

Website: www.PastorTodd.org
In this pivotal moment of history, we stand on the precipice of a great moment of decision. Things could go one of two ways. It’s not going to be a politician that saves us. The spotlight is on the church.
The Body of Christ is the only buffer to the evil that is being planned and perpetrated right now. We are in a massive spiritual battle of light versus darkness. There is no fence-sitting. We are either hot or cold, in or out.
A great end-time harvest of souls and move of God is at hand, while many wicked plans are also in play. The days, weeks, and months ahead will be intense and unpredictable at times. We must be deeply rooted in our faith and unshakable.
The Spirit of God is moving mightily across the earth, igniting hearts with holy fire and stirring souls with prophetic urgency. As Christians, we are uniquely positioned to discern the signs of the times and to respond with fervent prayer and Holy Spirit empowerment.
The “two-minute warning” has sounded in the realm of the Spirit, signaling the climax of God's redemptive plan and the imminent return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Yet, while we are still here, we must occupy until He comes and get as many people saved, set free, healed, and delivered as possible.
As on the football field, when the two-minute warning is sounded, it means that every second counts. It’s go-time! This is what we have been made for. The best players must be on the field and every move is critical. It’s not a time for weariness, apathy, complacency, doubt, or fear…but rather a time to be sober-minded, discerning, bold, disciplined, focused, spiritually astute, on fire - to get our strategy from Heaven and carry it out with precision!
Just as the early disciples were baptized with the Holy Spirit and fire on the day of Pentecost in Acts 2, so too are we called to be filled afresh, on fire, operating with the power and presence of the Holy Spirit in these last days.
We must trust God and have strong faith.
Despite the many egregious things we are seeing in our nation and world, we also see the evidence of God's hand at work in the world around us – in miraculous signs & wonders, healings, and deliverances, in prophetic revelations and divine encounters, in the outpouring of spiritual gifts and the undercurrent of revival and a great awakening: The Holy Spirit is moving in unprecedented ways, preparing the Bride of Christ for her glorious union with the Bridegroom.
Yet, amidst the signs and wonders, we also discern the many schemes of the enemy seeking to deceive, distract, and divide the body of Christ. Deception is rampant and many are being led astray. We must not be deceived.
We must be vigilant in prayer, discerning of spirits, and anchored in the truth of God's Word. The enemy may roar like a lion, but the Spirit within us is greater, empowering us to stand firm in the face of opposition and to advance the kingdom of God with boldness and authority.
Now is not the time for spiritual lethargy or complacency. Now is the time for hunger, radical obedience, and relentless pursuit of God's presence.
Let us press in deeper, pray with greater fervency, and worship with uninhibited passion.
For the Spirit of the Lord says, "Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you" (Ephesians 5:14).
As we embrace our identity as sons and daughters of the Most High God, filled with the Holy Spirit and commissioned for kingdom purpose, let us go forth with confidence and courage.
Let us be vessels of revival and transformation, carrying the fire of God's love to the ends of the earth.
For the prophetic two-minute warning is sounding, and the Bridegroom is coming soon. Maranatha! Come, Lord Jesus, come!
It’s the two minute warning. ⚠️ Are you all in?
Amen

In times when the world around us seems to be spinning out of control, when the ground beneath our feet feels as if it's giving way, there's one truth that remains unshakable – our foundation in Jesus Christ, the solid rock on which we stand. Today, we delve into the Word of God to find solace, strength, and steadfastness, drawing from at least ten scriptures that remind us of the unbreakable foundation we have in Christ, ensuring us that, like a tree planted by the waters, we shall not be moved.
**1. Matthew 7:24-25**
"**Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.**"
Jesus speaks of the wisdom in building our lives upon His teachings, a foundation that no storm can topple.
**2. Isaiah 43:2**
"**When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you.**"
God's presence is a promise of protection and perseverance through every trial.
**3. Psalm 46:1-3**
"**God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, Even though the earth be removed, And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though its waters roar and be troubled, Though the mountains shake with its swelling. Selah**"
In God, we find a refuge that stands immovable amidst life's greatest upheavals.
**4. Psalm 1:2-3**
"**But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.**"
Rooted in God's Word, we find nourishment that ensures our stability and prosperity.
**5. Ephesians 6:13-14**
"**Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness,**"
Paul encourages us to equip ourselves with the truth and righteousness found in Christ, enabling us to stand firm.
**6. 2 Timothy 2:19**
"**Nevertheless, the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: ‘The Lord knows those who are His,’ and, ‘Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.’**"
Our foundation in God is secure, marked by His knowledge of us and our commitment to holiness.
**7. Hebrews 12:28**
"**Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.**"
We are part of an unshakeable kingdom, inspiring us to live lives of service and reverence to God.
**8. 1 Corinthians 3:11**
"**For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.**"
Christ is the only foundation that guarantees stability and salvation.
**9. Psalm 62:6**
"**He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be moved.**"
In God alone, we find a defense that ensures we shall not be moved by the trials of this world.
**10. James 1:12**
"**Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.**"
Enduring faith through trials brings us to the promise of eternal life with Christ.
Beloved, as we face the craziness of life, let us remember that our foundation in Christ is unshakeable. The things of this world will try to sway us, but grounded in the Word, clothed in righteousness, and holding fast to the promises of God, we stand immovable. Like a tree planted by the waters, drawing nourishment from the eternal source of life, we shall not be moved. Our call is to remain rooted in Christ, for in Him we find our strength, our hope, and our sure foundation. Let us then stand firm

**6. 2 Timothy 2:19**

"Faith Will Be Our Currency"
In Christian eschatology, the "end times" refer to a period preceding the second coming of Christ. It's believed that during this time, believers will face unprecedented trials and challenges, testing their faith like never before. This concept is based on various biblical passages and themes:
1. **Increased Persecution**: The Bible predicts that believers will face increased persecution and hardship. Scriptures like Matthew 24:9 speak of believers being handed over to be persecuted and killed, and Revelation 2:10 mentions imprisonment and trials for the faithful.
2. **Great Deception**: The end times are characterized by widespread deception. False prophets and messiahs will appear, deceiving even the elect if possible (Matthew 24:24). This environment of deception will test the discernment and steadfastness of believers.
3. **Moral Decay and Lawlessness**: A decline in moral standards and a rise in lawlessness are prophesied (2 Timothy 3:1-5). Believers must maintain their integrity and faith amidst a society drifting away from biblical values.
4. **Spiritual Warfare**: Ephesians 6:12 indicates a heightened spiritual battle against the forces of darkness. Believers will need to rely on their spiritual armor and faith in God to withstand these challenges.
5. **The Love of Many Growing Cold**: Due to increased wickedness, the love of many will grow cold (Matthew 24:12). Maintaining a heart of love, compassion, and faith in such an environment will be a significant test.
6. **Tribulation and Trials**: The Book of Revelation describes a period of tribulation, marked by natural disasters, wars, famines, and other catastrophes. These events will challenge believers to trust in God’s sovereignty and goodness.
7. **The Test of Faithfulness**: In Luke 18:8, Jesus asks, “When the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?” This suggests a testing of genuine faith and perseverance.
8. **The Call for Endurance**: Revelation 14:12 calls for the endurance of the saints, who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus. This implies that maintaining faith and obedience will be challenging yet crucial.
Abraham, often referred to as the "Father of Faith," is renowned for his exemplary faith in the Bible. His life offers several profound examples suitable for a sermon on faith:
### 1. Leaving His Homeland (Genesis 12:1-4)
- **Call to Leave**: Abraham (then Abram) was called by God to leave his homeland, Haran, for a land that God would show him.
- **Faith in Action**: Despite not knowing the destination, Abraham obeyed immediately, demonstrating faith in God's promise and guidance.
### 2. Belief in God’s Promise of a Son (Genesis 15:1-6)
- **Promise of Descendants**: God promised Abraham, who was childless and advanced in age, that he would have descendants as numerous as the stars.
- **Unwavering Belief**: Abraham believed God's promise, and it was counted to him as righteousness. His faith did not waver despite his and Sarah's old age.
### 3. The Birth of Isaac (Genesis 21:1-7)
- **Fulfillment of Promise**: God's promise was fulfilled when Sarah bore Isaac. Abraham was 100 years old at that time.
- **Testament to Faith**: The birth of Isaac in their old age was a direct result of their faith in God's promise.
### 4. The Sacrifice of Isaac (Genesis 22:1-18)
- **Ultimate Test of Faith**: God tested Abraham by asking him to sacrifice Isaac, his long-awaited son.
- **Willingness to Obey**: Abraham's willingness to sacrifice Isaac demonstrated his absolute trust and obedience to God. He believed God could even raise the dead (Hebrews 11:17-19).
- **God’s Provision**: At the last moment, God provided a ram for the sacrifice, sparing Isaac. This event is a powerful example of faith and trust in God's provision.
### 5. Seeking a Wife for Isaac (Genesis 24)
- **Ensuring the Promise Continues**: Abraham ensured that Isaac did not marry a woman from Canaan but from his own relatives, trusting God's promise concerning his descendants.
- **Guided by Faith**: His servant, guided by prayer and faith, found Rebekah, aligning with God's plan.
### Sermon Points:
- **Faith in the Unknown**: Abraham's journey is a model of trusting God even when the path is unclear.
- **Faith Against Odds**: His belief in God's promise about Isaac, against all odds, highlights that faith often defies human logic.
- **Obedience in Faith**: Abraham's readiness to sacrifice Isaac shows that true faith is often tested and proven in obedience.
- **Legacy of Faith**: Abraham's life demonstrates that faith has a lasting impact, influencing generations.
Abraham's story teaches that faith involves trust in God's promises, obedience to His commands, and the belief that God will fulfill His word, even when circumstances seem impossible. His life is an enduring testimony to the power and significance of faith.
Here are ten scriptures from the New King James Version (NKJV) of the Bible that emphasize standing firm in faith and not backing down in the face of enemy attacks or discouragement:
1. **Ephesians 6:13** - "Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand."
2. **1 Corinthians 16:13** - "Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong."
3. **James 4:7** - "Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you."
4. **1 Peter 5:8-9** - "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith..."
5. **Isaiah 54:17** - "No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their righteousness is from Me,” says the Lord."
6. **2 Timothy 1:7** - "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind."
7. **Joshua 1:9** - "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."
8. **Psalm 18:39** - "For You have armed me with strength for the battle; You have subdued under me those who rose up against me."
9. **Philippians 4:13** - "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
10. **Psalm 44:5** - "Through You we will push down our enemies; Through Your name we will trample those who rise up against us."
These scriptures collectively inspire believers to stand firm in their faith, resist fear and discouragement, and trust in the strength and support that God provides in the face of adversity.
Without faith, we can’t please God.

#### Introduction
Brothers and sisters in Christ, today we stand at the precipice of a world that increasingly seeks to undermine the authority of the Gospel and dilute the potency of our faith. In this age, marked by secular ideologies and demonic influences, it's crucial that we, as followers of Christ, understand the times and know what we ought to do. The Word of God is not silent about these days; it forewarns us, equips us, and empowers us to stand firm in our authority as believers. Let us delve into the Scriptures, drawing from the New King James Version, to uncover the truth and the power we hold in declaring the unadulterated Gospel of Jesus Christ.
#### 1. **2 Timothy 3:1-5** - A Warning of the Last Days
"But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!"
This passage vividly describes the moral decay characteristic of the end times. The secular and demonic are not just external forces; they manifest through attitudes and behaviors that oppose the essence of the Gospel.
#### 2. **Ephesians 6:12** - The Real Battle
"For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places."
Our fight is not against people or societal systems but against spiritual forces that seek to suppress the truth and authority of Christ's message.
#### 3. **Matthew 24:12** - Love Growing Cold
"And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold."
As secular ideologies grow, they challenge the core Christian value of love, leading many to stray from their first love, Jesus.
#### 4. **2 Thessalonians 2:3-4** - The Great Apostasy
"Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God."
Paul warns of a significant apostasy, a falling away from the faith, as part of the end times' signs, driven by deception and rebellion against divine authority.
#### 5. **Jude 1:18-19** - Mockers in the Last Time
"‘In the last time there will be mockers, following after their own ungodly lusts.’ These are sensual persons, who cause divisions, not having the Spirit."
The secular push often ridicules and undermines the Christian faith, fulfilling the prophecy of mockers in the last days.
#### 6. **Revelation 12:12** - The Enemy's Fury
"Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time."
The intensity of secular and demonic opposition is linked to the enemy's awareness of his limited time before Christ's ultimate victory.
#### 7. **1 John 4:4** - Greater is He
"You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world."
Despite the pervasive influence of secularism and demonic forces, the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit empowers us to overcome.
#### 8. **Matthew 16:18** - The Church's Authority
"And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it."
Christ promises that His church, built on the revelation of Him as the Messiah, will withstand all opposition, including that from the secular and demonic realms.
#### 9. **Acts 2:17** - The Promise of the Spirit
"'And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams.'"
In the midst of end times' challenges, God promises an outpouring of His Spirit, empowering His people for prophecy, visions, and dreams, signifying the supernatural will overcoming the natural, secular, and demonic influences.
#### 10. **Romans 8:37** - More Than Conquerors
"Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us."
This powerful assurance from Paul reminds us that, regardless of the trials, tribulations, and opposition from secular and demonic forces, we have overwhelming victory in Jesus Christ. Our identity as conquerors is not based on our strength but on the victory Christ achieved on the cross and His unfailing love for us.
### Standing Firm in Authority
In light of these scriptures, how do we stand firm in our authority amidst the challenges posed by secular and demonic influences in this age?
#### Cling to the Word of God
Our primary weapon against deception and spiritual warfare is the Word of God. "The sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God" (**Ephesians 6:17**), equips us to discern truth from lies and to declare the power of the Gospel boldly.
#### Live by the Spirit
In an age where the secular and demonic seek to sway us, living by the Spirit ensures we walk in purity, power, and divine direction. Galatians 5:25 says, "If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit." This alignment with the Holy Spirit enables us to manifest the fruit of the Spirit, counteracting the works of the flesh and secular ideologies.
#### Unite in Prayer and Fellowship
The early church was marked by unity, prayer, and fellowship. Acts 2:42 tells us, "And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers." In unity, there is strength to withstand the pressures of secularism and to stand firm in the authority given to us by Christ.
#### Engage in Spiritual Warfare
Understanding our authority in Christ equips us to engage effectively in spiritual warfare. 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 reminds us, "For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ." Through prayer, we exercise our authority to demolish spiritual strongholds that oppose the Gospel.
#### Witness with Boldness
Finally, we are called to witness with boldness. Acts 1:8 declares, "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth." In the face of secular and demonic opposition, the Holy Spirit empowers us to proclaim the Gospel fearlessly.
### Conclusion
As we navigate the complexities of this age, marked by secular and demonic attempts to dilute the Gospel's authority, let us remember that we stand on the solid rock of Jesus Christ. Our foundation is unshakeable, our authority is unbreakable, and our victory is undeniable. Let us hold fast to the truth, walk in the Spirit, unite in prayer, engage in spiritual warfare, and witness with boldness, for we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. The secular and demonic forces have no hold on us; we are anchored in Christ, and in Him, we shall not be moved.

How Can We Press Ahead Through Trials and Tribulations?
How Can We Press Ahead Through Trials and Tribulations? • The Todd Coconato Radio Show

The Apostle Paul writes in Philippians 3:13-14, "Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus." Here, Paul speaks to the essence of our Christian journey – a continuous pressing forward, a striving towards the call and purpose God has placed upon our lives, despite the past or the obstacles that lie in our path.
In Romans 5:3-4, we find encouragement in suffering, "And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope." These words remind us that our trials are not in vain; they are the very process by which God shapes us into vessels of His hope and light.
James 1:2-4 echoes this sentiment, urging us, "My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing." It is through steadfast faith and patience that we are made complete in Christ, fully equipped for every good work.
But how do we navigate these trials? The Psalmist gives us a beautiful image of God's guidance and comfort in Psalm 23:4, "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me." In the midst of our darkest valleys, God is with us, His rod and staff guiding and comforting us, reminding us that we are never alone.
Our Lord Jesus Himself assures us of peace amidst tribulation in John 16:33, saying, "These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world." In Christ, we have a peace that transcends understanding, a peace that enables us to remain joyful and courageous, even when faced with life's storms.
The call to be steadfast in faith is further emphasized in 1 Corinthians 15:58, "Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord." Our perseverance in faith and good works is never futile; it has eternal significance and reward.
In 2 Corinthians 4:8-9, Paul speaks to the resilience of the believer, "We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed." This passage is a powerful testament to the resilience that we have through Christ. Despite the pressures and challenges we face, we are never abandoned by God; His grace sustains us, enabling us to rise again, stronger and more determined.
The strength to press ahead also comes from the assurance of God's unfailing love and faithfulness, as declared in Lamentations 3:22-23, "Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness." Every day, we are recipients of God's new mercies, a reminder that with each sunrise comes fresh strength and hope for the journey.
Hebrews 12:1-2 exhorts us to run with endurance the race set before us, "Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith." Jesus is not only our example but also the source of our strength and the one who perfects our faith as we keep our eyes fixed on Him.
Finally, in Isaiah 40:31, we find the promise of renewed strength for those who hope in the Lord, "But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint." This verse assures us that in waiting upon the Lord, in trusting Him through every season of our lives, He renews our strength, enabling us to soar above the challenges, to run without growing weary, and to walk without fainting.
Brothers and sisters, as we face the tests and trials of life, let us remember that we do not do so in our own strength, but in the strength that God provides. Let us press ahead, not with fear or hesitation, but with confidence and hope, knowing that our God is with us, guiding us through every challenge, and leading us into victory.
May we go forth in this assurance, pressing ahead with faith, and looking unto Jesus, the perfecter of our faith, who leads us on to glory.

Introduction:
- Gideon's story is not just a historical account; it's a divine blueprint for overcoming insurmountable odds.
- In Judges 7, we witness God's miraculous intervention through Gideon's army of 300, demonstrating the power of faith and obedience.
- As we delve into this passage, let's uncover the spiritual principles that can empower us to conquer our own battles.
1. **The Call to Arms** (Judges 6:11-16)
- Scripture: Judges 6:12 - "And the Angel of the Lord appeared to him, and said to him, 'The Lord is with you, you mighty man of valor!'"
- Commentary: Despite Gideon's initial doubts and fears, God affirms his identity as a mighty man of valor, reminding him of the divine strength available through God's presence.
2. **The Winnowing Process** (Judges 7:1-7)
- Scripture: Judges 7:2 - "And the Lord said to Gideon, 'The people who are with you are too many for Me to give the Midianites into their hands, lest Israel claim glory for itself against Me, saying, "My own hand has saved me."’”
- Commentary: God intentionally reduces Gideon's army to demonstrate that victory comes through His power alone, not through human strength or numbers.
3. **The Midnight Encounter** (Judges 7:9-15)
- Scripture: Judges 7:13-14 - "And when Gideon had come, there was a man telling a dream to his companion. He said, 'I have had a dream: To my surprise, a loaf of barley bread tumbled into the camp of Midian; it came to a tent and struck it so that it fell and overturned, and the tent collapsed.' Then his companion answered and said, 'This is nothing else but the sword of Gideon the son of Joash, a man of Israel! Into his hand God has delivered Midian and the whole camp.'”
- Commentary: God confirms Gideon's victory through the dream of the Midianite soldier, affirming His divine intervention and delivering assurance to Gideon.
4. **The Unconventional Warfare** (Judges 7:16-22)
- Scripture: Judges 7:20 - "Then the three companies blew the trumpets and broke the pitchers—they held the torches in their left hands and the trumpets in their right hands for blowing—and they cried, 'The sword of the Lord and of Gideon!'"
- Commentary: Gideon's army engages in unconventional warfare, utilizing torches, trumpets, and broken pitchers to confuse and defeat the enemy, symbolizing the power of God's strategies over human wisdom.
5. **The Complete Victory** (Judges 7:23-25)
- Scripture: Judges 7:22 - "When the three hundred blew the trumpets, the Lord set every man’s sword against his companion throughout the whole camp; and the army fled to Beth Acacia, toward Zererah, as far as the border of Abel Meholah, by Tabbath."
- Commentary: Through the obedience and faith of Gideon's 300, God delivers a complete victory over the enemy, showcasing His faithfulness and power to save His people.
Conclusion:
- Gideon's 300 teaches us that it's not about the size of our army, but the magnitude of our faith in God.
- Let's apply these principles in our lives: trusting God's promises, embracing His selection process, listening for His guidance, and engaging in unconventional warfare against the enemy.
- As we arise as mighty warriors in Christ, let's expect nothing less than complete victory in every battle we face. Amen.
