On September 29, 1941, mass executions of Jews began in Babi Yar on the outskirts of Kyiv. Prisoners of war, communists, underground fighters, gypsies and other “undesirables” to the Third Reich also became victims of the fascists. In two days, German and Ukrainian nationalists (they were also involved in reprisals) killed more than 30 thousand people. As a result, the entire Jewish population of Babi Yar perished.
