Goku Vs Freeza 2 AMV
One of the videos I made around 2000 or prior, which I don't consider worth watching, but I am backing them up regardless. You must understand, this was an age when we were recording footage off of poor quality VHS tapes, often copied dozens of times with fan-subtitles embedded, sometimes even imported from Japan at a high cost. We only had dialup internet and RealPlayer codec compression to share our videos to the internet back then. Forgive how bad this looks, I beg you.
Of particular note to this video: This is among the oldest videos I have in my possession that I have not lost since late 1998/early 1999. Its absolutely awful but I'm glad I have it. I have faint memories of making other videos prior to this, but this was among the first I released on the internet. The surrounding 3 videos in this series are equally terrible, but still, I am glad I have them.

Oh, I literally put my goku t-shirt in the scanner to get the intro image for this video. I wore the hell out of that shirt in high school. The clips were all taken from planetnamek.com. I'd love to see a complete backup of that site.

Of particular note to this video: Some of the lowest quality VHS fansubs I've ever purchased are in this video. Its truly ugly material to view. I apologize to your eyeballs.

Say hello to RealPlayer's High Motion compression profile. That was the point of the video. To have as much motion as possible, since the picture quality was already so bad.
Dragon Ball Z BBK AMV

The ReakPlayer codec also had a new setting around this time for clarity but it massively cut down the frame rate and I stupidly accepted the compromise at the time. Choppiest video I ever did. Real always did this to some degree but this was the worst example.
Anime Round-Up 3 AMV

Of particular note to this video: It's one of 4 in a string of mishmash random anime import footage videos I retain. I've since lost 3 other videos I've made in this series. I can only barely remember what they looked like or what they featured.
Dragon Ball Z Majin Vegeta AMV
A fan made music video from the year 2000, originally sourced from VHS, and compressed with RealPlayer codec, but revived with a new audio track for clarity, although it harmed synchronicity a little. One of my few videos from 23 years ago I'd like to remake these days, as I think the tone and message was on point.
The split screen chaos in this one always bugged me but at the same time it just sort of flowed well so I decided to keep it. I am sure I could do this better now but oh well.

I was really trying to imitate the MTV overlayed credits method with this one. I hate how sloppy this one is, and how the lyrics were almost forgotten at points, but I still feel like I could do this video justice someday, while combining footage from the 2nd GitS movie instead.
You can also see my failed attempt to crop out some subtitles. This was the age when 16:9 movies would just shift upward and subtitles were placed in the massive black box below on vhs.

I'll always thank my 7th grade friend Josh Hill for loaning me these VHS tapes of this show and loaning me the paperback of Battle Angel Alita (GUNNM). I still love both franchises. I now have the hardback set of Alita.

You can see some of the Sci Fi Channel logo throughout this one.
