Finally got around to installing a wildfire protection system on the house. Hopefully we never have to use it..

Where we stand as of Nov 14 2017

The house is down and construction will soon start.

The new Kubota was getting slower and slower, after a bit of research I found the nut holding the speed/direction rod on had fallen off.

We purchased a bunch of solar panels and now we need to build a place for them, it's a little bigger than I had hoped, but we will never have to worry about power again being 100% off grid.

Visit to a local annual swap meet. The usual arts and crafts, holistic stuff and some nice old artifacts.

Life is good. Today is the day we have no more debts, we own everything we have and are finally debt free slave free. I can't think of a better way to calibrate Canada Day.

Finally got our container delivered, was a bit of a tight squeeze to get it to here but it made it.

We are stuck waiting until I get off a night shift rotation to get things done and sell our current house.

Its only april and the wood cutting started. When we bought the place we had no firewood and it has been a constant catch up to try to get firewood, let alone seasoned.

We have decided to take the plunge and start a new life, simplified. This is the first in hopefully a long series of videos of the adventures and discoveries of homesteading.

Decided to get back into shooting pics and now video, time to take the plunge and learn digital cameras. One day I will learn to turn my cell phone sideways to record better video.

It's very common for the deer to walk right up to the house, one day I'm kinda expecting them to walk right in.

We get all sorts of visitors picked up by the cameras we have set up around the property.
