Candy Cane peppers are great to look at, but they are great tasting also. I crossed this one with another pepper, and I'm looking forward to seeing how that goes this summer.

This pepper has caught on pretty quickly. I know of 4 or 5 dealers who now sell seeds for it. It is very dark, with orange round peppers. Have you grown one?

We see some really big flocks of geese were we live. This one had several thousand birds in it. Aji Dulce peppers are slow to get started, but they are very productive. This is what I picked at the end of the season.

We usually see several baby garter snakes each year. This one was out very early in the year. I had an underripe watermelon, so I put it outside. I set up my trail camera to see what would happen.

We feed Hummingbirds and Orioles every summer. We mainly feed jelly to the Orioles, but when they run out of Jelly, they let us know by going to the Hummingbird feeder.

I've always been fascinated by hero and egret rookeries. There were dozens of nests in this one. This nest had a couple of Cattle Egret chicks with one of their parents.

These baby Black Capped Night Heron chicks were getting some size on them, but they were still in their nest. Their nest was part of a rookery, which is a large group of Heron and Egret nests in very close proximity to each other.

Boeseman's Rainbowfish can be an interesting fish to have in your aquarium. They are beautiful, and peaceful for the most part.

We always enjoy seeing Black-necked Stilts when we get the chance. They have a weird habit of jerking their heads forward and back.

This is a pepper cross that I'm still working on. I hope to get it somewhat stable and looking like it does in this video.

While cleaning up some tomato plants, I noticed this Tomato Hornworm crawling on the ground.

I've grown about a dozen mutant pepper plants. Here is a look at some of them.

Crowned Cranes are unique looking birds. Their hairdo stands out in the bird world. I hope you enjoy seeing these as much as we did.

I like to get two generations each year from my pepper projects. In order to do that, I have some growing indoors all year long.

I've always wanted to try growing tomatoes in a hanging basket. I guess a hanging grow bag counts.

Nature is cruel sometimes. In this case, one bird is eating another bird. Some birds are predators, and some birds are prey.

We feed grape jelly to the orioles every year. Once in a while, the bees for it and take it over. There was a bunch of them this time.

I grew 5 different Bush Beans just to compare how they each did in our area. I grew them in 10 gallon grow bags, and a GreenStalk planter. I thought it was interesting that they each produced about the same in the GreenStalk planter as they did in the grow bags. Two out of the 5 types didn't do well at all. There used to be a rookery near where we live. I used to enjoy going by to see how the young birds were doing. This video shows some baby egrets in their nests.
