McGwire

We had a very aggressive afternoon storm that got our covered patio very wet. The temperature dropped about twenty degrees. A video does not do these storms actual justice although they typically only last twenty minutes or so. Thankfully. Our property is small and simple so we do not sustain much damage. Some of my neighbors are not so lucky.

Now that flying is out of the question, we drive to see the grandkids. It takes just 21 hours to get to their house. We are greeted with smiley faces every time. Maybe some day, flying will be available to the "smelly" class again, but for now we just sit back and enjoy the drive. Well, one of us enjoys while the other drives.

Our friendly patio lizard, Zard, stopped by yo say a quick hello today. He has been hanging out here for a couple of months now. Mostly he stays away but today he came up to the couch.

I didn't realize eggplant could actually taste good. It took me almost a week to actually do all the steps. I kept forgetting it was in the garage fridge. Even aftwr sitting for several days, the prepped slices were still firm. They turned out so delicious. After baking the breaded slices, I layered them with cheese and vodka sauce and baked until melted and bubbly.

A pretty efficient way to juice the mountain of limes coming off the trees here in Tucson.
