Parrot goes for a walk
On a warm day, walking outside and checking everything out is my favourite thing to do. The grass is green, skies are blue, and birds are singing. All is right in my world. The breeze feels great in my feathers.

Bad life choices - parrot grabs a heavy ear of corn
Everybody makes bad life choices. Tycho, a congo african grey parrot, is clearly reconsidering the wisdom of grabbing an entire ear of corn on the cob. He almost overbalances as it swings wildly, but makes a remarkable recovery, and settles to eat his prize while holding it with one foot. It's amazing how strong these birds are!

Amazon Parrot Displays Colourful Feathers as he Enjoys a Spray Shower
In this video Tikal the Amazon takes a shower on his play stand. He’s very enthused about the spray bottle, and opens his wings wide to make sure that he gets well sprayed. Obviously he is enjoying himself, happily vocalizing to share his joy with the world. As the water is sprayed he changes his angles, and shows off his brilliantly coloured feathers. Water droplets on the feathers look almost iridescent, as if he is wearing a million sparkling diamons. At times Tikal ducks his head as if to hide under his wings, but it’s all part of showertime joy.
Tikal the Amazon is a 44 year old Amazon Parrot who enjoys saying hello and hanging out with the flock. He’s very easy going, enjoys afternoon naps and watching the world as it goes by. Tikal loves hanging out with the rest of the flock which includes Tycho (A 23 year old African Grey who believes cameras are parrot eating monsters), Max the Moluccan (A 25 year old Moluccan who believes that all hoomans are ridiculous and that it’s always a great time for snacks), and their pet hooman (a featherless biped who doesn’t listen). Online, the flock are very popular across many social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube where they enjoy entertaining their flockers with daily antics.
Amazon Parrots can live up to 50 years in captivity. There are many sub species of Amazon parrots. Their bodies are predominantly green with yellow, red and blue markings, really showing off when they open up their wings. Like all Parrots they require a lot of attention, nutrition and care. Amazons are very social and need a lot of interaction and mental stimulation.

Max the Moluccan in Fan Mail - Funny Reaction to Stolen Images
Hi, my name is Max the Moluccan, and I get a lot of great questions from the flock. I always have some great advice to offer… with a bit of a twist. (If you didn't want my advice, you wouldn't have asked).
In today’s video I tackle the thorny question of theft. I’ve had my images and videos stolen often enough that I know just how to deal with those peoples with sticky claws. Turn up the volume and pay really close attention as I demonstrate my trademark answer to thieves everywhere. I tell it as it is – and send a message loud and clear!
The great thing about my solution is that it’s fun to implement – yelling ALWAYS feels good!
Today’s video involves extreme closeups, dancing, and a classic Moluccan tantrum complete with subtitles. Sit back and enjoy the fun.
If you have any Fan Mail for Max leave your questions and comments below. If you ask a good question it could be featured in a future issue of Fan Mail or the ever popular 'Too & A.

Parrot More Interested in Paper Cup than Yummy Treat
In this video Tycho the African Grey is hanging out on his play stand playing with a paper cup. He is so busy playing with the container that he completely forgets that the cup has a tasty treat inside of it. Gravity plays it's eventual role, as he accidently dumps his food on the floor. You have to watch carefully to capture the moment when the treat makes it’s great escape. Oh well, the cup is much more fun to play with!
Tycho the Grey is a 22 year old Congo African Grey Parrot who believes that cameras are parrot eating monsters, so his pet hooman has be clever to capture him on tape.. Tycho’s flock includes Max the Moluccan (A 25 year old Moluccan who believes that all hoomans are ridiculous and that it’s always a great time for snacks), Tikal (A 44 year old Amazon who enjoys saying hello), and his pet hooman (a featherless biped who doesn’t listen). Tycho came to live with his pet hooman 22 years ago, when he was only 6 months old. He really is part of the family.

Two Cockatoos and a Coffee Cup
Two Moluccan Cockatoos were nicely playing with an empty coffee cup. Max would toss the cup on the ground, and Q would pick it up and hand it back to him. Tiring of the game Q decided to play a prank on Max by taking the cup back at the last minute. Doesn't Max look surprised? Whose cup is it anyway?
Max is the original Moluccan Cluckatoo with his unmistakable trademark Bok that he sings with joy. It’s hard not to laugh when you watch this 25 year old Moluccan Cockatoo with a larger than life attitude. Max believes that all humans are ridiculous, it’s always a great time for snacks, and, of course, that the world revolves around him. His life is filled with adventures that he loves to share with his flockers. Occasionally Max shares the spotlight with flock members Tycho (A 23 year old African Grey who believes cameras are parrot eating monsters), Tikal (A 44 year old Amazon who enjoys saying hello), and his owner (a featherless biped who doesn’t listen).
Max is living with his owner in his forever home. When he was ten years old he was rescued from a bad situation. In his original home he was living in a basement, and had a lot of behavioral challenges – screaming non-stop and biting to the point that he couldn’t be handled safely. He has come a long way since then, and is now very friendly and social.
The Moluccan Cockatoo, also known as a Salmon-crested Cockatoo (Cacatua moluccensis) can live 80 to 100 years. They are readily recognized by their trademark peach color with a brilliant Salmon colored crest that provides a brilliant display. Like all Parrots they require a lot of attention, nutrition and care.

Cockatoo clicks for joy on evening walk
The great outdoors with warm sunlight is a welcome place for Max the Moluccan to go on a stroll. He expresses his joy by sounding off, first with an uh-uh-uh sound, then with a hearty bok. Max loves to cluck like a chicken, and the neighbours are used to seeing this cockatoo pretending to have an identity crisis right outside their window.
The warm rays of sunset perfectly highlight his peach coloured feathers and his brilliant salmon crest.
