Teacher Longevity
This is the 5th video in my series on public education and my 15 years in this horrible "profession." Good people don't tend to last long as public school school teachers; typically less than five years. I read many years ago that good people won't work for bad organizations for very long. This is true. And public education is a truly bad organization.

School Boards
This is the fourth video in my series on public education and my 15 years as a teacher. Of all the people required to run a school (teachers, custodians, maintenance workers, cafeteria workers, counselors, office staff, administrators), administrators are the least important and least necessary. Even more useless than administrators, is the school board. Mark Twain said: First, God made the idiot. That was for practice. Then he made the school board. Twain was right.

Teacher Certification Programs
This is the 3rd video in my series on public education. The intent here is to explain the kinds of subjects you have to study to become a teacher, and what a waste of time these classes are, while in no way preparing anyone for the realities of being a public school teacher in the United States.

Education Degrees
This is the 2nd video in my series. Education degrees are among the most useless degrees you can buy. Unless you plan to spend your entire working lifetime in public education, you will be wasting your money in purchasing these degrees. Throughout my entire 15-year career in public education I refused to call Eddies (Ed.D.'s) doctors. Eddies diminish the significance of the title of Doctor. I actually recorded this video before the "doctor" Jill Biden thing, but have been ridiculing the Ed.D. degree for many years. Turns out, as I suspected all along, I was right.

Becoming a Public School Teacher
This is the first video in the story of my 15-year public education career. The first several videos in this series will focus mainly on some of the reasons teachers leave the profession so quickly. Then I will tell my story, encompassing my entire career. My hope is that I can prevent others from making the same mistake I did, in deciding to work in the horrid profession of public education. My ultimate dream would be to improve the sorry state of this pseudo-profession. Maybe I can do some good. Though I doubt it. Time will tell.
