Sober Minded Ep. 23: Deceiving Yourself To Feel Good Is Wrong
This is an introductory video to the concept of Self Deception. It refers to any practice or way of thinking where you decieve yourself in order to boost your ego or self esteem. This includes various practices such as affirmations, subliminals, chants, mantras, self help and self harm. I cover a few of these but there are more. I would like to do a separate video on each of them as well. There are a lot of young people that fall into this trap so it's important to know how Christians should respond to it.

Sober Minded Podcast Ep. 22: Atheists' Faith, White Board Debut, Response to Trent Horn on Calvinism
I've been working on a video titled, "The Religion of Atheists and Skeptics". I give a little taste of what that video will be in this episode. To summarize, Atheism is religion because it requires faith in order to believe its assertions. The Atheist assertions that there is no God, that there is no Creator of the Universe and that Evolution led to the current form of nature we see today are all assertions that cannot be 100% verified and therefore faith is needed to believe that they are true. Atheist Scholars are more honest about their theories and admit that they can only be skeptics at best. Ironically, the Atheists believers (those that follow the Scholars) ignore the skepticism of their Atheist "pastors" and take their theories as "gospel" and "preach" these theories all around the internet. This episode also marks the first usage of the white board which will be a staple of the podcast moving forward. Then I respond to Trent Horn's strawman of Calvinism and demonstrate from Scripture why he is wrong.

Sober Minded Ep. 21: Refuting "Satan's Guide to the Bible"
A fairly recent documentary called "Satan's Guide to the Bible" has been out for a few weeks. No response videos have been made so I thought I would make one to demonstrate the errors in their theories. I don't know anything about the people behind the making of this documentary but it seems like they're just digging up the old and tired methods of the skeptical and critical progressive, anti-Christian "scholars" and speakers. Nothing new to see here except for the interesting animation and direction. I don't go into too much detail about the documentary but I do address the biggest flaws that I found when watching it. I did not watch the whole thing because it simply wasn't necessary, once I understood the direction of the documentary it was easy to see that it was a sloppy and ill advised. It's incredibly obvious that the team behind this were on a vendetta for revenge on Christianity, most likely because they apostatized from Christianity and are now on a vendetta against it, to right the wrongs they feel that were done to them. That's is just my assumption. I plan on writing a companion essay that addresses some broader questions about apologetic and how to deal with skeptics and vengeful apostates. Just so were clear, I am a Reformed Christian, I believe in the innerrancy of Scripture and the sovereignty of God in salvation.

Sober Minded Podcast EP 18: Biblical Subversion and Intro to the Beatitudes
The beginning of a series on the Beatitudes. First I discuss the concept of biblical subversion and how it applies to the Beatitudes. I realized I made a mistake when I said that Christ as Lamb and King of Kings were two contrasting ideas but it should be that Christ as Lamb and Lion are one set of contrasting ideas and Christ as Servant/Shepherd and King of Kings are another set of contrasting ideas. I got both mixed up.

Sober Minded EP 16 - Nashville Shooting (Is LGBTism a mental illness?)
I kind of ramble in this one but I think I made my points clear enough. In this episode I discuss the Nashville Shooting. I also touch on Biden’s response, Democrat Gun control, is LGBTism a mental illness? I also respond to some comments I've read by professing Christians, such as: “Stop calling evil mental illness”, “Stop politicizing the murder of children”, “This isn’t a political issue. This isn’t a mental illness issue. This is a sin issue.”

Sober Minded 15: The Offensiveness of the Gospel and Truth
The truth is offensive in a world of lies. Christians need to stop being ashamed of telling the truth and start being comfortable with offending with the truth. Being offensive just to be offensive is not always the best thing to be, depending on who's around you, but some things are worth offending people over. The Gospel and the Word are naturally offensive. Any tampering with them will make them false and weak.

Sober Minded Ep 13: Why Some Conservatives Are Wrong About LGBTism
There are a wide variety of opinions in the conservative camp about LGBTism, and there are a few of them that I think are wrong. Non Christian conservatives borrow a lot of their moral principles from the Bible but they do not take it to its full conclusion. The Bible is much more clear cut and definite then what most conservatives are saying.

How does ChatGPT answer Theological questions? (Westminster/London Baptist Catechisms)
I'm asking the AI Chatbot ChatGPT some questions from the Westminster and London Baptist Catechisms. I was surprised by how much information it delivered but I soon noticed a pattern. It's pretty much an interactive search engine. Maybe I was just using it the wrong way.

Sober Minded Podcast Ep 9 - Russia vs Ukraine Escalation and Jason Whitlock on Tyre Nichols Murder
In this episode I discuss to main current events: 1. the promotion of escalation in the Ukraine vs Russia conflict, and 2. the Tyre Nichols murder. There have been many world leaders commenting on the Russia vs Ukraine conflict and it looks like many of them want in on the action. Who benefits from the war that they are clamoring for? Which countries have the most to gain from it? Biden wants to escalate but so does Kim Jon Un. If this goes any further, we will all suffer. Secondly, the murder of Tyre Nichols is a horrible situation. A black man lost his life and 5 black police officers are the criminals. In this the white man's fault? Liberal media thinks so but Jason Whitlock offers another observation, one that I agree with.
