I AM LEGEND - The Light of Jesus Christ
I AM LEGEND - Walk In The Light of Jesus Christ! Will Smith in his role demonstrates the Kingdom reality of lighting up the darkness with the Light of Jesus Christ.
The whole film is predicated on the words “LIGHT UP THE DARKNESS.”
The dark seekers die in the light.
The film uses music as a means for love to conquer hate.
The hero searches for a way for life to defeat death.
I AM LEGEND is a visual metaphor for Christianity in that:
Death dwells in darkness and we are saved from death, if we walk in the light as He is in the Light.
but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.

I AM LEGEND is about a brilliant scientist who survives a plague that has affected all of humanity, transforming those infected into bloodthirsty dark-seekers.
A woman finds him and tells about a far-off colony they are traveling to where the survivors can be safe from these demon-like beings.
The scientist slowly comes to faith in God and the colony, until he finally discovers that the cure is in the blood.
Sound familiar?
This film is absolutely filled with IMAGERY and SYMBOLISM of Christ.
Genesis 1:3 “Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.”
There are four kinds of light identified in the Bible - cosmic (Genesis 1:3–5), natural (Judges 19:26), miraculous (Acts 12:7), and artificial (Acts 16:29).
Light is descriptive of God's nature (1 John 1:5), word (Psalm 43:3), wisdom (Daniel 2:22), favor (Psalm 4:6) and guidance Psalm 78:14; 89:15).
But what is light?
We can see it. But We can’t taste it or smell it.
And we definitely can’t move as fast as it.
So what is light? Like what is it actually?
The Hebrew and Greek terms refer to that which emanates from a light-giving body such as a lamp (Jer 25:10) or the sun.(Isa 5:20; Joh 11:10, 11)
Light is a combination of colors, with each color having a different wavelength. The color of an object is determined by the light reflected from its surface.
God has different reasons for every type of light:
Sun, moon, and stars as lights in the sky to differentiate the seasons.
Fire by night to guide the Israelites through the darkness.
Lampstand for the priests in the Holy place.
Transfiguration to display the holiness of Christ.
And on and on and on…
Psalm 119:105 Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path.
Proverbs 6:23 For the commandment is a lamp and the teaching is light.
2 Samuel 22:29. “For You are my lamp, O Lord; And the Lord illumines my darkness.
1 john 2 “the darkness is passing away and the true Light is already shining.
Luke 11:33-36. "No one, after lighting a lamp, puts it away in a cellar nor under a basket, but on the lampstand, so that those who enter may see the light.
2 Corinthians 4:6 For God said, “Let light shine out of the darkness,” is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.
But how is God’s word light?
Let’s take the 10 commandments for an example of how to walk in the light. Imagine a world where everyone obeyed the words “do not murder.”
Literally, every single person did not murder. There was never another murder ever to be heard of again in all of future history because everyone is walking in the light of that command.
And so “do not murder” becomes one light beam color on the entire spectrum of God’s words.
What about lying? Imagine a world where no politicians lie, no big corporations lie, no lawyers lie, no ex girlfriends lie. No lies whatsoever. Not even a little white lie. Everyone is always 100% sincere and 100% honest. Seems impossible, right?
By walking in the light, we walk in all of the ways of our Creator and therefore display the entire spectrum of colors of His Kingdom of light.
But if we walk in darkness, we are like the blind leading the blind.
On a serious note, Satan apparently has the capability to disguise himself as an angel of light.
All the more reason for us to truly and intimately know the Word of God and follow in it.
Otherwise, we walk in darkness.
2 Corinthians 4:4 the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
John 3:20-21 "For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed.
John 11:9-10. Jesus answered, "But if anyone walks in the night, he stumbles, because the light is not in him.”

ENCANTO - The Lost Art of Reconciliation
This video explores how Jesus taught us to go about reconciliation as depicted through Mirabel in the movie Encanto. Yeshua gave us certain steps to take in the Gospels on how to humble ourselves and apologize, while at the same time seeking forgiveness.

This was the movie the world needed! This is what we wanted and what we needed! We’re all getting ahead of ourselves with our perfect social media lives and our amazing talents and and living our best lives and the next gadget and the next gizmo, all the while forgetting the cracks in our foundation.
Jesus hit the mark when he talked about building our house on the rock and not sand.Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. Maybe we are too busy to actually sit down and have a heart to heart with someone who hurt us or offended us.Or maybe we’re too prideful.Or they’re unapproachable.Or both.So we put on a smile around them to cover the cracks underneath instead of addressing the wounds and healing them.
James literally tells us how to get healing. And no it’s not by eating an arepa con queso.“Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed.” James 5:16
If you messed up and hurt someone, confess it.Tell it like it is.Seek understanding.Work it out.Don’t villainize the other.Or assume motives.Understand the root cause, the foundation. Then fix it.
Extend forgiveness. And build again on the solid foundation of Truth and love, with the pillars of transparency and grace. The world has forgotten how to do this. And now the cracks are so evident and visible in this broken world. And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. 27 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.”In a world that thinks it’s so wiseJesus Himself said we are foolish if we don’t do this.Never let your grand life vision get any larger than the person standing in front of you.Our nation is made up of states. And states are built on cities.
And cities are built on communities. And communities are built on families.Families are the epicenter of it all.Fix the family, fix the community.Fix the family, fix the city.Fix the family, fix the nation.
Fix the family, fix the world. It’s no secret that many of the crimes, murders, abortions, patterns of generational divorces and on and on and on are rooted in broken families.
That’s why Encanto is so important. It’s getting back to the root of the matter.Leo Tolstoy once wrote: “Happy families are all alike but every unhappy family is unhappy in its own way.”Let’s examine the four main themes in Encanto.Mirabel and Bruno were both prophet types. And Prophets reveal and uncover, calling us to awaken to the truth underneath the surface. Mirabel and Bruno are both “outsiders” from the rest of family, seen as strange and “lost”, blind to the purpose of the family. As we come to see, it’s the other way around. Abuela’s intentions for the Madrigal family are good. Abuela sees the magic as central to the family. “Think of the family,” she continually tells everyone. But the intention of togetherness and unity ends up excluding, Mirabel and Bruno. Each member of the family feels their own isolation and loneliness with the crushing expectations placed on them. Isabela is even arranged to marry a man named Mariano, despite not wanting to, because it’s “best for the family”.
Eventually Mirabel angrily lashes out at Abuela, telling her that the cracks in the casita and the family’s dying powers are because of her, that no one will be good enough for her. It’s clear that Abuela has been clinging to the “blessing” and the false security of it. She has made it an idol. The candle symbolizes Abuela’s deep faith in the blessing. We tend to see faith as something we grasp and hold onto. Mature faith is one of letting go and being freed. When the magic dies and the casita collapses, cracks extend throughout the town and a mountain splits open. It reminds me of after Jesus’ crucifixion, when the earth quakes and the veil is torn. The facades are broken open. Mirabel escapes through the split of the mountain and goes to the place where the magic began, the place where Abuela’s husband Pedro gave his life for her, the source of the blessing. Abuela finds her and opens up saying, “I lost sight of who our miracle was for.” Mirabel’s own eyes are opened to Abuela’s plight, the loss of her beloved, and her hope for her family.

The Prince of Egypt - The Prophecies of Moses Fulfilled in Jesus Christ
This video explores the movie The Prince of Egypt, the Prophecies of Moses Fulfilled in Jesus Christ. The Prince of Egypt is centered around the conflict between two people: Pharaoh and Moses. Pharaoh needs the Israelite slaves in order to build a vast kingdom and make his name great. But Moses has been chosen and called by God to set the Israelite slaves free.

There’s a peculiar verse in the Bible that seems to go against the concept of free will.
Exodus 9:12
“the LORD hardened Pharaoh’s heart…”.
Now we all have our thoughts on this verse, but let’s look at it another way, through the lens of a metaphor.
Let’s say God is the sun.
And Pharaoh is a leaf that is not connected to the vine.
And Moses is a leaf connected to the vine.
Now Keep in mind the verse where Jesus says, “I am the vine, you are the branches.”
We know the sun is the same today, forever and always, but it will have a drastically different affect on the leaf that is connected to the vine compared to the one that is not.
The sun causes the vine leaf to flourish and have life in itself,
While on the other hand, it causes the unattached leaf to harden.
To shrivel up and eventually die.
Same sun.
Same leaves.
The difference is, one is connected to the Vine and one is not.
“I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.
If anyone does not abide in me he is like a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned” (John 15:5–6).
There are infinite types and shadows of Christ all throughout the Old Testament - Adam, Noah, Joseph, and King David to name a few.
And clearly we see that Moses is a type of Christ as well.
Pause it right there.
Moses, as a type of Christ, He is the vine, we are the branches.
So it could be said that we are that branch, the one in his hand.
And when we stay connected to Christ, God will do His wonders through His branch, the Body of Christ.
For apart from Him, we’re just a shriveled up old dead stick.
Another picture of this is when God commands that each of the twelve tribes provide a staff marked with their tribe’s name. Then, Moses took the staffs from each tribal chief and put them overnight in the tabernacle to demonstrate beyond any shadow of a doubt that God chose the sons of Aaron alone to come near to him as priests in his tabernacle.
Yahweh then causes Aaron’s staff—and only Aaron’s staff—to sprout with buds, blossoms, and ripe almonds.
Imagine that.
God literally gives new life to a dead branch by causing it to sprout, and every other dead branch is removed from Yahweh’s presence.
And while Moses trusted in God to lead them out of bondage and into the Promised Land,
the Egyptians trusted in bronze chariots and heavy armor — the very things that caused them to sink to the bottom of the Red Sea and plunge them to their death.
And while there are major differences between Moses and Pharaoh,
there are countless similarities between Moses and Jesus Christ.
“I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their fellow Israelites, and I will put my words in his mouth.”
-Deuteronomy 18:15
Both Jesus and Moses were in danger as babies as those in power ordered all babies 2 years old and under to be killed.
They were both hidden in Egypt to be kept alive.
Moses' mother put him in the river in a BASKET Ex.2:3
Jesus' mother put him in a MANGER Lk. 2:7
Both were brought up by men who were not their natural fathers.
Moses fasted for 40 days and 40 nights when he received the Commandments.
Jesus fasted for 40 days and 40 nights when He received the power of the Holy Spirit.
Moses turned water into blood.
Jesus turned water into wine.
Moses parted the sea.
Jesus calmed the sea.
Moses walked through the water.
Jesus walked on the water.
Moses made a bronze serpent and put it on a pole and when the Israelites looked upon it, they were healed.
(Num. 21:9 The Lord sent fiery serpents upon the children of Israel and many died from the serpents’ bites. The Lord told Moses to make a fiery serpent and set it upon a pole. He made a serpent of brass and raised up the pole. Those who looked at it lived (see Numbers 21:8–9). This typifies Christ. Those who will look unto Him and believe will “have eternal life”)
Jesus was lifted up on a pole and All who looked upon Him by faith were healed. Jn. 3:14-15
Moses rec'd the Law.
Jesus fulfilled the Law.
Both commanded the children of Israel to keep their lamps burning continually. Lev. 24:2. Luke 12:35
Moses, at a well, was kind to the daughters of Jethro and offered water to their their flock.
Jesus, at a well, was kind to a Samaritan woman and offered her living water.

TURNING RED and the MARK OF THE BEAST!

Thou shalt Honor thy Father and thy mother….NOT!
OK y’all take a look at this….The very first line of the movie is:
Honor yourself!
Say what?
Ok u know what, maybe this is the start of a character transformation.
You know where the hero starts the story as somebody who has a character flaw,
but then overcomes that flaw by the end of the story,
which we call the hero’s arc or transformation.
So that’s what’s happening here….right?
“My Panda, My Choice?”
Children like to repeat lines that they hear in movies.
Obviously My Panda, My Choice, is a play on my body, my choice which is a saying used by those who advocate for abortion.
In addition to that, it’s the attitude she’s showing towards her mother that she’s gonna do things her way no matter what….even though she’s still a child.
Now there is something to be said about overbearing parents, but I’ve been a teacher for a decade, and I must say, that I’ve noticed this selfish attitude amongst the kids more and more over the years.
Which is why I’ve stopped teaching for now and am working on my YouTube channel, but that’s besides the point.
This is where art imitates life, watch as the heroic climax of the movie isn’t the hero sacrificing herself in one way or another in order to save a group of people.
no.
The heroic moment is the child twerking in her mother’s face for about 30 seconds straight.
That’s it.
That’s the biggest moment.
That’s what everything led up to.
In the ten commandments, the 5th commandment is:
“Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the LORD your God is giving you.
This movie seems to go directly in opposition to that.
No wonder a lot of believers are boycotting Disney.
It also goes against the scriptures when it shows a character
Embracing a lifestyle that does not keep in step with the Holy Spirit.
“But I was born this way and God doesn’t make mistakes.”
Yes, they are born that way.
And Yes, God designed this world without mistakes.
But through sin, death entered and now we live in a fallen world.
And we are born into a fallen nature.
That’s why Jesus said we must be born again.
And that we must walk in Truth and keep in step with the Holy Spirit.
The world doesn’t understand this.
And it’s becoming more apparent that some churches don’t either.
And Is it just me or are animated films getting more spiritual? Encanto, avatar, turning red.
Turning Red contains eastern spirituality, ancestor worship AKA calling upon the dead, chanting, upkeeping a temple for ancestral prayer…
Now they kind of were on to something in an eastern spirituality kind of way with separating the flesh and spirit towards the end of the film.
But ultimately, Turning Red wants to embrace the inner beast and live with the mess that beast creates.
“We’ve all got an inner beast,“We’ve all got a messy, loud, weird part of ourselves hidden away. And a lot of us never let it out. But I did. How about you?”
We’ve seen this story before in the Incredible Hulk and in Doctor Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.
Characters who are not able to control their beast nature and therefore inflict a lot of damage.
Even Marshawn Lynch knows about going Beast Mode.
Will Smith slap.
Not only to the people around us, but also to ourselves.
But this type of behavior is exactly what Turning Red advocates.
It’s just Under the guise of empowerment and being true to yourself.
embrace who you are, even your dangerous impulses and reckless vices, and don’t let anyone stop you, especially not your parents.
Hollywood advocates for following your inner beastly impulses, but then bans you for doing so.
Rafiki, “I’m not the one who’s confused
It really is confusing and if you don’t go beast on your beast nature, then you’re gonna get got.
Traditionally, the idea in these Jekyll/Hyde stories is that humans are inherently conflicted—our fleshly passions are at odds with our logic and good will, with the former often leading us to utter chaos and destruction, while the latter helps us to cultivate character and virtue and avoid the potential damage our beastly passions might cause.
Romans 7 talks all about That battle.
But What you’ll not find in the New Testament, however, is an encouragement to just accept that there are “two sides of yourself” and embrace them both as essential parts of “who you are.” The Bible never encourages us to accept the beastly sides of our fallen natures as sanctified and good.
“Embrace the mess” may be a cute coffee mug slogan, but if it justifies sinful behavior under the banner of “authenticity” and expressive identity,
Turning Red teaches us to feed, not conquer, the beast within.
