PORN IN THE FAMILY - What We Can Learn from the Duggars and Why it Matters
One of TLCs most popular series "19 Kids and Counting" (2008-2015) was canceled due to the abhorrent criminal behavior of the oldest son Josh, who is serving a 12 year prison sentence for child porn possession.
How did this happen to the "squeaky clean" family? Expert coach Joseph F. Price and I will discuss what went wrong and what you can do to prevent this from happening to your family - large or small.

SOUND OF FREEDOM! Call to Action!
The movie "Sound of Freedom" is a story about international sex trafficking, in particular, a case based on a true story involving Homeland Security Special Agent Tim Ballard. The movie was well done and informative, with a call to action to pay it forward and get as many people as possible to see the movie.
I propose a stronger call to action where you find out what is going on in your community and donate or get involved at the local level. The only way to curb sex trafficking is to stop the demand - stop buying. Don't go to strip clubs; don't do anything immoral or illegal; don't go down the path of pornography. Take a look at NCOSE - National Center on Sexual Exploitation.
Tampa Bay, Florida currently ranks 3rd in sex trafficking in the USA. There are 2 organizations I urge you to look at, donate, attend some of their events, and get involved. BuyerRehabilitationProject.org and StoptheMovement.org. Both organizations are doing amazing things to try to put a huge dent in the sex trafficking industry locally.
I can tell you from my research that pornography plays a big role in behavior escalation to the acceptance by perpetrators of pedophilia and other deviant sex practices and behaviors. 3 SWIMS IN 3 DAYS! WHAT I LEARNED
3 swims in 3 days: (1) swim around Treasure Island, FL, 8 miles. (2) 4 miles along coast from St. Pete Beach to Passagrille. (3) Swim around Paradise Island, near Treasure island, 2.8 miles.
What did I learn and how does this relate to marriage? (1) The more time you spend with your partner, the more you learn. You are given an opportunity to help each other shine. (2) The more you become skilled, the more clues you receive as far as what you need to improve upon. (3) Swimming can be fun, but it can be work. The same is true of marriage.

Hardest thing I've ever done! Longboat Key Marathon Swim, 11.65 miles
Lynn and Bob discuss their 11.65 mile swim along the coast of Longboat Key, Sarasota, FL.
What does it take to endure something seemingly impossible? Lynn expected this swim to take close to 7 hours, but instead, it took 8-1/2 hours. The high salt content of the Gulf of Mexico proved to be very challenging after mile 8. The continuous current she didn't anticipate was something she had to overcome. The final mile took her twice as long as her usual mile.
What does this have to do with marriage? Well, if you're in it for the long haul, you'll undoubtedly face hardships in your relationship. What will you do when you feel like giving up? Will you have the patience, courage and grit to continue?
Bob kayaked alongside Lynn and discusses his experience as her kayaker. This adventure involved one partner cheering on the other when the going got tough. It involved one partner having to give it everything physically and mentally in order to reach the finish line.

LONGBOAT KEY MARATHON SWIM, SARASOTA, 11+ miles
Envisioned by Tampa Bay Marathon Swimmer Paul Valitutto (aka Paulie V), the Longboat Key Marathon Swim is the first of its kind! 8 swimmers participated, along with 8 kayakers in this inaugural swim.
This swim was quite challenging, with a mild current most of the way and a fierce challenging current on the final stretch through New Pass Channel.
"A good time was had by all!" Congratulations to the swimmers: Julie, Gregg, Paul, Shelley, Lynn, Jordan, Michele and Katy. Thank you awesome kayakers for keeping us safe: Stella, Susan, Derek, Bob, Laurie, Stephenie, Michele and Katy.

During the 2021 Grammy Awards on March 14,there was a fuss about Cardi B’s performance. Many people thought her little number was vehemently vile and vulgar. People are dumbfounded as to how our culture could reach this point.
In this video, I explain why we shouldn't be shocked. It's been a steady progression into barbaric performances.
As parents and influencers of your own households, YOU can steer your loved ones in the right direction. Don’t watch the Superbowl or halftime shows. Don’t watch movies that contain scenes that are derogatory to women. Don’t listen to or purchase music that is low-level. Don’t immerse yourself in the filth that litters our landscape. Don’t open the package that they are giving you. Tell your young girls and boys that the world objectifies people and as human beings, we are so much more.
If you want a lifelong happy marriage and family, what the entertainment industry is spewing out is the COMPLETE opposite. It offers very little value and substance. Classy humans don’t objectify and reduce people to barbaric, carnal lust. We were made for so much more. Worthwhile relationships uphold the dignity and honor of men and women. So do what is classy and respectful if you want to make your marriage great.
