Burj Khalifa's Hula Hoop, An Absurd Future Idea in Dubai
Imagine a five-story ring hanging around the tallest skyscraper in the world.
In the sky, 550 meters high. The Dubai Circle is the most recent concept for downtown Dubai.
Does this circular skyscraper actually fit? Dubai is known for doing the unthinkable.
Could something like this ever be constructed into the recognizable skyline? Let's find out.

This ring-shaped behemoth is the brainchild of architecture firm ZNera Space, and it's sure to be the talk of the town... or should we say, the talk of the sky?
The Dubai Circle is essentially a giant ring that encircles the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world. It's like putting a hula hoop around a giant redwood tree. The ring is a whopping 3 kilometers wide, and stands at a dizzying 550 meters above the ground. That's higher than the One World Trade Center, for those of you keeping score at home.
But what's the point of a giant ring in the sky, you may ask? Well, the Dubai Circle serves as a "neighborhood in the sky," complete with office space, cultural areas, and housing. That's right, you can live, work, and play all in the same giant, circular building. Talk about convenience!
But how do they plan on keeping this massive structure from falling to the ground like a giant, steel frisbee? The architects claim that the building will be supported by five massive pillars, each acting as an air purifier using a smog filtering design. So not only will the Dubai Circle be a revolutionary new way of living, it'll also help make the air in Dubai more breathable. It's like a superhero in skyscraper form.
But before you start packing your bags to move into the Dubai Circle, you should know that many people have questioned the feasibility of building such a structure. Some have called it a delusional concept, while others have suggested it's more suited for the Metaverse. But let's be real, hasn't Dubai always been known for achieving the impossible? I mean, they turned a desert into a bustling metropolis, complete with the world's first 7-star hotel, the world's biggest aquarium, and the tallest skyscraper. If they can do all that, building a giant ring in the sky seems like a piece of cake.
In conclusion, the Dubai Circle may seem like a crazy idea, but in a city known for pushing the boundaries of what's possible, it just might become a reality. So start dreaming of living in a giant, circular neighborhood in the sky, because in Dubai, anything is possible.

What's the Secret? Saudi Arabia Baffles American Scientists
Saudi Arabia is a large country located in the Middle East, spanning an area of 2.14 million square kilometers. This makes it the world's 14th largest country by land area. Despite its vast size, however, Saudi Arabia is one of the driest places on Earth, receiving an average of just four inches of rain per year. This lack of rainfall has traditionally made it difficult for the country to support large-scale agriculture.
Despite these challenges, over the past few decades, Saudi Arabia has made significant progress in expanding its agricultural land and increasing food production. In the early 1960s, the country only had 400 square kilometers of arable land, an area that was primarily used for date cultivation and small-scale vegetable production. However, by the early 2010s, this number had grown to 35,000 square kilometers. This increase in agricultural land has allowed the country to become self-sufficient in a number of food items, including meat, milk, and eggs. In fact, the country now even exports some agricultural products, such as wheat, dates, and fish.
The key to this transformation has been the implementation of modern farming technologies and rural infrastructure development programs. The government has invested in irrigation systems, water desalination plants, and other agricultural technologies to make it possible to grow crops in the arid desert climate. In addition, they have also invested in rural infrastructure such as roads and transportation systems, which has made it easier to get crops to market and distribute food to the population.
One of the major problems that Saudi Arabia faced in its agricultural development was the lack of water resources. The country has no permanent rivers and the annual rainfall is below 150 millimeters which made the farming of crops almost impossible. However, the government tackled this problem by building large-scale desalination plants, which convert saltwater into fresh water that can be used for irrigation. This allowed farmers to grow crops that would not have been possible without an adequate water supply. Furthermore, this also gave a new economic opportunity for farmers to grow different crops that otherwise wouldn't grow in the desert-like environment.
Another important factor in Saudi Arabia's agricultural transformation has been the adoption of modern farming methods. Instead of traditional farming practices, the country has embraced modern technologies such as precision agriculture and genetically modified crops, which have allowed farmers to increase their yields and make their operations more efficient. Additionally, Saudi Arabia has also begun to use greenhouse farming to grow crops year-round, rather than being limited to the short growing season in the desert.
One major achievement of Saudi Arabia in its agricultural development is the expansion of date farming. Dates were traditionally a staple of the Saudi diet, and they were mostly farmed for local consumption. However, with the expansion of agricultural land, the country has been able to farm dates on a much larger scale, and now exports them to other countries. Dates have become one of the major agricultural exports of the country and also contribute greatly to the national economy.
In addition to these technological advancements, the government also introduced programs to encourage rural development, providing farmers with loans and other forms of financial assistance, as well as technical and training support to help them improve their operations. These programs have been instrumental in creating new opportunities for farmers and rural communities and in improving the overall standard of living in the country.
In conclusion, Saudi Arabia has made remarkable progress in its agricultural development over the past few decades. Despite being located in one of the driest regions on Earth, the country has managed to increase its agricultural land by a staggering 875% since the early 1960s and has become self-sufficient in a number of food items and even export them to other countries.

Most Useless Megaprojects in the World - You Won't Believe These Failed Projects
Welcome to Luxury Recapped, Let's f**** go on an exploration of the most useless megaprojects in the world. But first, don't forget to like and subscribe before we dive into the ridiculousness. And leave us your thoughts in the comments, we can't wait to see what you have to say about these money pits.
Now let's get started with our first project: the stunningly beautiful and utterly pointless Interstate H-3 in Hawaii. This 26-kilometer-long road was first proposed in 1960 as a way to connect the Pearl Harbor Naval Base to the Marine Corps Air Station. But, surprise surprise, the project faced resistance from both environmentalists and native Hawaiians worried about urbanization. It wasn't until 26 years later that the project was finally able to move forward thanks to an exemption from environmental laws. And guess what? If cats could shit in the toilet, instead of my room, The world would be a much cleaner place.
Anyways, It wasn't completed until 1997, 37 years after it was originally proposed. And get this, it ended up costing a whopping 1.3 billion dollars, which is five times the original estimated budget. But hey, at least it's a scenic route for people to gawk at and create traffic hazards on.
Up next is the hilarious tale of Naypyidaw, the brand-new capital of Myanmar. Now, this isn't just any old capital, oh no. This capital was built from scratch, because why not throw away a ton of money on a completely unnecessary project?
But get this, Why couldn't the bicycle stand up by itself? Because it was two-tired! Anyways
despite being the capital of a country, it's practically a ghost town. It was originally built to be a more centralized location for the government, but it turns out that moving the capital to a remote location is not the most effective way to run a country.
Who could have guessed? And as if being a barely inhabited capital wasn't enough, Naypyidaw even made an appearance on the hit TV show Top Gear as an abandoned location. But don't worry, it did eventually get a tiny bit of redemption when it was announced as the new home of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations summit. So at least it's good for hosting a bunch of politicians once a year. Talk about a useless megaproject.
It's time for me to take a shit, I am for another ridiculous megaproject: Frest City, the futuristic smart city in Malaysia. This one was supposed to be a green paradise built on four artificial islands and surrounded by an artificial forest ecosystem. Sounds like a utopia, right? Well, it turns out that building a city on reclaimed land and trying to profit off of its proximity to the bustling city-state of Singapore was a bit too ambitious. Despite being linked to Singapore by a bridge and having its own customs facility, Forest City has failed to attract residents. Maybe it's because the buildings with green roofs and vertical gardens ended up being a bit too jungle-like, or maybe it's because the city streets with their multiple layers and pedestrian walkways above the traffic just confused people. Either way, Forest City remains largely uninhabited and is just a very expensive experiment in urban planning gone wrong. But hey, at least it's a great place for a nature walk, even if it is all artificial.

I can ski in Dubai and ride camels
Welcome to the city of Dubai, where the skyscrapers are taller than your ego and the shopping malls are bigger than your wallet. But what is it about this desert metropolis that makes it so special? Let's find out."
For starters, Dubai is home to the world's tallest building, the Burj Khalifa. Standing at an impressive 828 meters tall, this architectural marvel is so tall that you can see the curvature of the Earth from the top. Just don't look down if you're afraid of heights - or, you know, gravity."
cut to an image of the Palm Jumeirah
But what good is a tall building if you can't get to the top? That's where the Palm Jumeirah comes in. This man-made island is shaped like a palm tree and is home to some of the most luxurious hotels and mansions in the world. Just make sure you have your sunscreen - and your credit card - ready.
But Dubai isn't all about glitz and glamour. The city is also home to a number of traditional cultural activities, such as camel racing. These races are held every weekend and are a must-see for any visitor to Dubai. Just be sure to bet on the right camel - or you'll be eating sand for lunch."
And if you're feeling a little hot and sticky from all that desert sun, just head to one of Dubai's many shopping malls. These malls are so massive that they even have their own ski slopes! That's right, you can hit the slopes in the morning and then do some shopping in the afternoon.
So whether you're looking for towering skyscrapers, luxurious mansions, traditional culture, or indoor ski slopes, Dubai has it all. Just make sure you bring your wallet - and your sunscreen. Happy travels!"

What It's Like To Be A Billionaire In Russia
Roman Abramovich, a Russian oligarch and billionaire, is racing against the clock to beatWestern sanctions. A move that shows what it's like to be a billionaire in Russia.
Russia has had quite a lot of ups and downs with their economy, especially between recovering from the fall of the Soviet Union to dealing with the pandemic! But one group that is pretty resilient is Russian billionaires. While the rest of the country was feeling the hit of a declining economy, the wealthy elite were sitting pretty and doing just fine. In fact, billionaires like Alexey Mordashov has been thriving as Russia’s richest billionaire. He and his fellow billionaires are buying mansions, yachts, and even using their wealth to promote Russian art around the world. The next generation of billionaires are definitely going to inherit their parents’ wealth. With the way the country is today, we might not see many “rags to riches” stories anymore since the Russian middle class is kind of stuck thanks to the pandemic. The children and grandchildren of these billionaires are getting educated in boarding schools in countries like Great Britain, and they are learning new ways to grow their family business. Finally, being a billionaire in Russia means not only do you have ties to some of the finer things in life, but you might also have some political ties as well. Russia has an oligarchy, which means that the country is mainly run by powerful politicians and rich people who act within their own interest. When you have so much cash, it’s not hard to easily work your way through the political ladder!

The Russian Billionaire Whose Private Aircraft and Super Yachts Are Suddenly In The CROSSHAIRS
Russian billionaire Alisher Usmanov’s superyacht, the world’s largest by volume, was seized by German authorities in Hamburg.
The German government has frozen the Dilbar, Usmanov’s 512-foot yacht, the publication said, citing three unidentified industry sources. Built in 2016 and named after his mother, the boat is estimated to be worth $594 million.
The European Union adopted sanctions on six of Russia’s wealthiest individuals on Monday, including Usmanov, who called the decision “unfair” and “defamatory.” The Dilbar had been undergoing refitting in the northern German city.
Superyachts and other opulent displays of wealth among Russia’s elite have drawn intense scrutiny since the country’s invasion of Ukraine, even making it into U.S. President Joe Biden’s State of the Union address.
Rosneft Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Igor Sechin’s superyacht was impounded by French customs officials on the Cote D’Azur.
Five other individuals were named in the latest EU sanctions: Mikhail Fridman, Petr Aven, Alexey Mordashov, Gennady Timchenko and Alexander Ponomarenko. Mordashov owns two superyachts: the Nord, which is in the Seychelles, and Lady M, anchored in Imperia, Italy.
Some Russian tycoons also still have superyachts docked in Europe. Roman Abramovich’s Solaris is in Barcelona; Iskandar Makhmudov’s Predator is in Genoa, Italy; and Vagit Alekperov’s Galactic Super Nova is in Montenegro, among others, according to data tracked by Bloomberg.
Usmanov, 68, owns a major stake in USM, a Russian investment group with holdings in Metalloinvest, one of the world’s largest iron ore producers, and telecommunications company MegaFon. He’s the sixth-richest Russian with a fortune of $19.5 billion, according to Bloomberg’s wealth index, though that figure includes the Dilbar.
In Trieste there was still yesterday the Sailing yacht A. by Andrey Melnichenko (143 meters by 25). Interestingly, he had always sailed under the Bermuda flag, while now he sails under the UK one. We are not clear why. The Galactic Super Nova by Vagit Alekperov (the head of Lokoil, also very active in Italy with many friends) yesterday was instead spotted off the southeastern coast of Sicily.
