Lord Taylor of Warwick on Fox News - Prince Philip, husband of Queen Elizabeth II, dies at 99.
The Rt. Hon. Lord Taylor of Warwick speaking on FOX News. Through the years, as far back as 2005, when Britain was facing the 7/7 London bombings, Baron Taylor was the only member of the UK Parliament interviewed by Fox News. Over a decade later you’ll still find Lord Taylor on Fox News, discussing public policy and current issues impacting the world, such as the death of Prince Philip on the 9th April 2021.
Prince Philip and the Queen were married 73 years, a huge message to the importance of marriage.
He was the longest serving Royal Consort in British history, an amazing achievement.
The Monarchy has been through some difficult times over the last few years and Prince Philip was very much the supporting rock to the Queen, helping with advice.
However, Prince Philip could also be quite blunt in his manner. In some occasions it was quite intentional.
For example:
I was a guest at Buckingham Palace on many occasions. On one in particular I was with other world leaders. We were in a greeting line to shake hands with the Queen and Prince Philip. He looked at me. I was dressed in my suit and tie. He said "young man what exotic part of the world are you from?" I replied "Birmingham, here in England".
Prince Philip wasn't being malicious, he meant well. But that gaffe travelled around the world many times.
Prince Philip would try to break the ice, but sometimes he'd actually fall through the ice! This is when he went too far.
The Queen has served over 14 Prime Ministers and she has stayed strong through it all. The Queen has reigned for 69 years as the longest serving British Monarch, even longer than Queen Victoria.
Royalty is above politics.
The UK mourns Prince Philip’s death. But the world just celebrated Jesus Christ's Resurrection at Easter. Christians believe in eternal life. We pray that Prince Philip's mortal death would not be the end, but that he would have eternal life.

Royal Rumble
Lord Taylor of Warwick Discusses: The Queen's Response to the Dramatic Claims by Prince Harry & Meghan Markle in their Ophrah Interview.
9th March 2021, United Kingdom
A Royal Rumble. Listen to Lord Taylor of Warwick, who joined FOX News, to discuss the reaction in the United Kingdom to the dramatic claims by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in their Ophrah Interview. Watch Lord Taylor's insightful remarks on racism and the Queen's response.
“The Queens statement today was short, but it mentioned the word 'family' three times, and that is very significant.
Blessed are the Peace-Makers and the Queen here is a Peace - Maker.
She's trying to put oil on troubled waters, and that is what is needed in this situation.
I believe in the principle "You don't get bitter, you get better".
Life has it's ups and downs. You learn more in the valleys than in the hilltop, and all families have problems.
But to air your dirty linen in public is not the way forward. Especially if you are going to gain financially from it.
I don't think this was the right way. The Queen is genuine in her love for her children and grandchildren. That's quite clear.
But the Queen also believes in loyalty to royalty. And that's very important.
Racism is a factor whether you are a princess or a pauper.
In 1996 the Queen enobled me. I became the only black Lord in the world.
I was the only black Lord out of 1,800. It was a very lonely place to be. I had this title but very little support around me.
And I had to learn the hard way that 'There Is Only One Race The, Human Race'.
It's not about the colour of your skin, it's about the content of your character.
And you just have to rise above the racism. It is with us. We just have to defeat it.
It's a journey not a destination. It is getting better, but it is still apart of our lives. You have to tackle it with compassion, strength and dignity.
An important issue has been raised and we have to deal with it. The Queen has done it the right way.
As I said, that is a very short statement, but in that statement the Queen mentions the word 'family' three times.
The Queen emphasis the fact Meghan is not an outcast and is part of the royal family. Although Meghan is not a working royal, Meghan hasn't been discarded. So the Queen is showing love above hate and vitriol. And that is the way forward.
The Queen is showing us all an example.”
