Open Door Policy
Ever heard the expression "it's like a revolving door in here". At times CIOs and other IT management tends to not consider the obvious on why many of their staff are unhappy and instead blame other factors, instead of what is easily the source of the issue. Whenever anyone brings to their attention things may need to be changed or complaints in regards to processes and procedures, instead of taking into consideration what is said, most times those who use the Open Door Policy and voice their concerns, are met with hostility with the IT management essentially threatening them with insubordination or simply tell them if they don't like it, they can leave. My Keyboard Doesn't Work
IT Support agents everywhere have run into this issue one way or another. Broken Keyboards are a regular issue, but some times keyboards are broken or no longer operating due to "user error". IT hardware seems to be not respected since it's not the end user's personally bought equipment. Show some respect on company assets please, for IT Support sanity sake!

I'm Not Tech Savvy
Tech savvy is the scapegoat that most end users use whenever they are unable to understand something with regard to computers. Unbeknownst to the end user, reading a book is considered technical, so to state "I'm not Tech Savvy" is to say "I'm unable to comprehend". This may slide if this was 1984, a year after computers started to become the norm within office environments, but it's been decades, and there are no excuses.

Just Call Me
Living in the day in age of computers where now it is possible to communicate with anyone via several means. Today you can communicate with anyone using services like instant messaging and email, making it easier to get a hold of someone quickly. Some end users are still stuck in the mindset of wanting to always call them despite a simple email or using their instant messaging services, they can get the help they need easily, as long as their PC is operational. Just call me is an example of scenarios that other IT personnel have come across when trying to provide IT Support.

Quick Question
Most IT Support Agents have come across this scenario in one way or another. They are about to leave or are about to work on something only to be interrupted by someone who simply has a Quick Question. The reality is most of the end users that go for this approach are well aware that they are to go through the appropriate channels of support, but refuse to because at times of self-entitlement or simply laziness. I always say an end user that says they have a quick question, there is always a long answer.

Back in My Day
Some IT Support Agents had the misfortune to come across an end user who felt proud enough to make statements that otherwise you know they couldn't do or complete, but they are so sure of themselves. Please Reboot Again
Rebooting again is something IT Support Agents have found themselves having to explain and help the user differentiate between shutting down the PC, rebooting their PC, and doing this via the Start menu and selecting the power option. Some end users have on occasion simply press the button on their monitor thinking this is how you restart your PC.

My Computer Broke
