It's taken 3 days to accomplish this little bit. It's been a battle around rain.

This afternoon I installed the PT and started building walls for the shed.

This didn't go great, but could have been worse. Things don't always go to plan. Adapt and overcome.

The water heater needed to be moved to make way for an addition.

This is a good amount of juice from the panels. Definitely no complaints for temporarily being propped against the wall.

Welp....this was just the logical thing to do. 300 watts of charging power is better than 150 watts.

Being able to fix your tools can save time and $$$.

We can get away building a 24x24 "accessory building" without a building permit so....that's what we're doing while waiting for a site survey and all of the state bureaucracy to get a permit to build something SMALLER!

Part 2 shows setting up the solar panels.

Tonight on the homestead was open fire back strap. It doesn't get much better.

Dave found a tree with vertical cracks that were opening when it swayed in the wind. It was time to make that problem disappear.

We installed a "Simple Pump". This is a great way to ensure we have a water supply if there is no power or in the event of an electric pump failure.

I've spread gravel to make a driveway. After more gravel is delivered and this packs down, it'll be topped off.

Her cuteness torched up two fires today and cooked up beans for lunch. She cooked up steak, peppers and onions for supper.

We are getting ready to form a 24x24 slab. The gravel pad needed some work. We used a simple method to check level around the pad. It's ready for forms!

Part 1 covers setting up the battery and inverter/charger. Part 2 will cover setting up and connecting solar panels.

I found out that buildings less than 750 sq/ft can be built without a building permit if there's no running water SO... while waiting for site evaluation blah blah to get a permit for a couple of other buildings, we're getting going on a big shed.

This system is intended to only keep a battery or two charged for running radio equipment. It'll produce 12 volts at 12 amps.

She got this fire going by herself. We'll keep working on it and soon she'll be an expert.

Today we did an oil change, grease job, and general look over.

You won't see this in the metropolis. We have lots of dirt roads around here. This is how they are smoothed out.

Dave's new toy. This puppy is making a huge difference.

Here is some simple open fire cooking. It's been warm outside, the camp warms up quick and well....open fire just makes food taste better anyway. It sure hits the spot at the end of the day.
