Diesel Generator Cold Sub-Zero Startup
I typically run the generator once a week during the winter to keep everything working. Usually for a half hour to get it up to normal operating temps. Had problems with the original glow plugs. Pulled them out and tested them. They barely glowed red hot. I switched over to NGK glow plugs and they turn white hot after just 20 seconds. I also installed thicker (2 gauge) battery cables to make the engine crank faster. This is important for a diesel engine as it requires hot compression to ignite the fuel. It is colored red because it is off road diesel. So far this winter I've had to run it for 18 hours due to CMP power outages. With the remote start, I can get it running from inside the house in the middle of a blizzard while I stay nice and warm. Please leave a comment or questions.

New 10KW Silent Generator
Maine has the worse power grid in the country. Having backup power in the sticks is necessary if you don't want to freeze to death in the winter. My old gasoline generator was on its last legs due to overuse but only 5 years old. This is the bargain of the century. Got it off alibaba.com Many vendors there sell the same unit with differences in paint, soundproofing, tank size, 1 Phase, 3 Phase, voltage output, & too many to list. A great thing about this generator is that your LED and fluorescent lights won't flicker or oscillate. My last generator was horrible with this problem. And then of course come the available options. You got to look around and do your homework. Also, Make sure the one you get is EPA certified. This unit carries a Tier IV certification. It will never get past customs in the port of L.A. and it will sit there forever until you get an exemption like "for experimental power generation only" But even that may not work. And it's nearly impossible to send it back due to the shipping cost going backwards. Please subscribe if you like this video.
