Howdy! Making a little heart with new baby info. Didnt record the cut of the backer or heart...I'm new...I'll get better. Got this all cut out and part 2 will be up in just a day or so and I will be applying a finish.

Warming up after some time away from the saw. Also messing around with editing videos. New to this stuff. Maybe have music in the next one! Lol...

All the holes drilled! Time for the fun....

Here, I'm drilling pilot holes for all of the inside cuts.

Part 2 of this little project. I'm covering the pattern with packing tape. Helps lubricate the blade and also keeps dust down.

Posting some short videos of the whole process of making a nice little butterfly piece on the scrollsaw. The pattern is from Steve Good. Look him up. Hundreds of great patterns. I'm making this out of oak scraps I've milled down to a quarter inch thick and glued into panels. Just using some spray adhesive to stick the pattern to my stock.

My daughter is on her way to woodworking greatness!! Here she is chopping her first mortise for practice.
