Insurrectionist7
Description
The following is a bunch of songs I had written long ago and finally got around to arranging into a single cohesive work. The work is a concept album where the first 12 songs are a timeline of sorts.
The inspiration was drawn from my time being spent down rabbit holes and hearing about the most whimsical and astonishing things within what would be considered the world of conspiracy theorists and those who either distrust mainstream narratives, trends, cultures and establishments or simply want to look elsewhere for an alternative viewpoint other than their own.
So many things I struggle finding myself to believe and yet I simply cannot bring myself to dismiss anything out of hand anymore. So now I just look at things in a “is it impossible?” point of view. And if the answer is no, then all things sit in the realm of possibility until they’re disproved for me now.
After the nonsensical events around Covid, I found myself searching for an alternative perspective or anything juxtaposed to what is peddled to us from the sewer pipe of controlled mainstream narrative that is the television and any media derived therefrom.
There was no shortage of subject matter to draw upon and the song titles seem to come together so easily, (almost on their own). Arranging the accompanying music in which order the songs would go to best fit the song titles in a chronological and cohesive way was actually more challenging.
And so the album has a story arc, inspired by parts of the subject matter. With my own spin on the overall concept, which can be found in the video description. And the timestamps in the comments.
I’ve waited what seems like forever to release something that was purely my own vision without any compromise to anyone or anything during the entire process.
It's not anything mind blowing, but it's mine, with a lot of hours spent by me to create and engineer all aspects of it. With the only exception of AI handling the samples and the artwork from my prompting, which was the closest I could get it to look like what I was after and…
It is my hope that there is something for you to enjoy in the end result. But if not, my gratitude to you nonetheless for giving some of your time to determine that for yourself.
The 11th track “After the Storm” is also for my spawn (as for who it was originally written).
The 12th track “For the Innocent” is also an ode to the trafficked of this world. And while I, as a single life form am powerless to save them or alleviate their pain. The very least I can do is acknowledge them and their plight. Even if only through the expression of this song.
What in all hell has become of our species when such a vile and disgusting practice exists?
The 13th track “The Light that Guides” (bonus track), is for the one who’s absence I carry with me, wherever I go.
“I always have, I always will”.
Also, it is not part of the story arc, this song was added after the album was compiled. The solo was taken from my original demo which is why it sounds so bad. But my nostalgia simply demanded it be there to keep some of its original essence as the song was part of a very significant point in my life and who was in it and I wanted to honor the memory of that.
This album is not monetized and is free to listen to. And for the foreseeable future I don’t have any further inclination to release any other music under Insurrectionist.
This was more about something I needed to get out of my system. However it would be remiss of me to say never, so the door is closed but not locked on that. That being said I won’t ask for subscriptions or anything like that. It’s not about trying to get a channel or a project off the ground.
It’s just music for anyone who wishes to listen.
However, if you like what you hear and wish to share it with others. I certainly have no objection to that at all.
Lastly, to echo the words of Razorfist:
“Jon Schaffer did nothing wrong!”
