Hummingbirds here, hummingbirds there, hummingbirds all across there
SHELLEY -- In the middle of winter, most people aren't thinking about hummingbirds, unless you're Marjorie Killian, then you are always thinking about hummingbirds.
Killian's children, grandchildren and, at 86 years old, her great-grandchildren know, if they want to make grandma happy, give her a
hummingbird trinket.
"I like hummingbirds because they're a pretty little bird. They're so tiny. And they're just a beautiful little bird. I mean, if I gotta like something, why not hummingbirds?" Killian said.

Local ghost hunters investigate the Virginia Theater and the 'Hospital'
SHELLEY — Anyone who has driven down State Street in Shelley has seen the Virginia Theater. With its marque hanging off the front, it’s hard to miss. Passersby may have also noticed the building next to it with “Hospital” written on it. Both buildings have been a part of Shelley since nearly the founding of the town.
Now, the historic buildings make up Lost Souls Attractions. The Theater of the Lost Souls and The Hospital of the Lost Souls. Two of the most frightening haunted attractions around.
But before they were turned into haunted attractions, rumors had been going around Shelley for decades that the buildings may be home to ghosts.
It was those rumors that spurred FTL3TD Paranormal Investigation, a local group of amateur paranormal investigators, to spend a night in the two buildings.
Armed with an array of sensors, infrared cameras and other ghost hunting equipment, Leon Arave, his wife Brenda Arave, his sister Tania Arave, their friend Danielle Brinton and TikTok star Chad Sommer, also known as Thee Ol Chado, set out to try and catch some ghosts.

#Treats bringing old-timey sweets to a new generation
Flint and Stephanie Christensen own #Treats at 202 S State St. in Shelley, Idaho. They opened the candy shop in 2018 after falling in love with the corner building where their shop is now located.
The couple is all about creating memories. One of their favorite things about opening their shop is when elderly patrons find a candy they used to enjoy as a kid. The Christensens enjoy hearing the stories these patrons share with them. They also love introducing younger generations to old-timey candy. But these candy merchants are also candy innovators.
Flint is the creator, and Stephanie is the perfector, of the CottonPop, a cotton candy treat turned into a push pop. To create the CottonPop, they put their homespun cotton candy into a tube attach a stick to one end and seal the cotton candy inside the tube with chocolate. Not only is the CottonPop a fun, less messy way to enjoy cotton candy, it is also delicious because the Christensens don't just use regular cotton candy. Instead, they use a variety of hard candies to create new and unique cotton candy flavors. The CottonPop is sold in various stores in South Eastern Idaho and Northern Utah.

How to cook the perfect steak with Heber & Nick: Sous Vide or Traditional
East Idaho Foodies' Heber Sadovich and meat aficionado Nick Kelley show you their favorite methods for cooking steaks. Heber goes old school by searing the steak in a hot cast iron pan then finishing it to the perfect temperature in the oven. Nick, however, prefers the conveniences of modern technology in the form of a sous vide machine. He keeps his steak at a low temperature for hours before finally searing and serving.
